Really loved this. Great story. It made me wonder how I would have coped with the gruesome situations in which the narrator found himself. Not well, is the answer. Thank you to Ashleigh Nugent for some great descriptive writing. And for making his characters speak in convincing Scouse-accented voices when the story required. (I grew up in a suburb of Liverpool too.)
Incredible book. Funny, witty, true. Ashleigh is an incredibly talented storyteller, whose next work, whatever that may be, will be a “day 1” purchase for me.
