This is the captivating story of how a peasant teenager changed the fortunes of France in the 15th century, during the latter years of the Hundred Years War with England, & French fractions. It’s well told & researched. Loved reading Joan’s actual letters translated. A must for every school library, in several countries.

This is a very informative book, and I really enjoyed the Irish narrator and their perfect French pronunciations. I would have given it four stars, but I felt like there was a lot of stating what has already been said. That’s probably because this is such a big historical topic, and maybe I needed that restating to pay attention and understand—but it just annoyed me a little bit. Still a very great book, it packs a lot for such a small volume.📖🤎🥐

Wanted a quick review of Joan of Arc. Listened to the 2+hour audiobook. Horrible narrator, but got the overview of her life.
