I absolutely adore this series! To anyone looking for a perfect contemporary romance.... look no further! This is how its done people! The perfect combination of romance, sex, humor, drama... I just loved this one! Even better than the first!

We meet Asher (Ghost) and Natalie in Friend-Zoned. They had one hot romp at the club and have been trying to avoid each other since. It makes it a little difficult for all their friends, but they’ve been doing it for a while now. Natalie moves to a new place. Somewhere a little nicer with better security. She’s really happy about it. That is, until she is woken up over and over again by her noisy neighbor. Really? Who has sex that much? Nat isn’t a happy camper without her sleep, so she decides to confront her noisy neighbor. She finds that her neighbor is none other than Ghost.

Ghost is more than a little shocked to see a pissed off half asleep Natalie at his door in the middle of the night. This is the girl he hasn’t been able to get out of his head for the longest time. After some discussion, Nat and Asher decide they need to try to be friends. For all of their friends sakes and because they are neighbors, they may as well get along.

They grow closer the more time they spend together. Asher starts to open up more to Nat. But all that sexual attraction is still there. In fact, it’s stronger than ever. So... why not do a little friends with benefits? No one has to know. These two have crazy chemistry, so they come up with a plan...
‘I really just want to fuck you whenever I feel like it.’
‘Well, right on. I’m all for that.’

Sex between Nat and Asher is amazing. A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! But then those feelings start to get in the way... The closer they become as friends, the more they get to know each other, the more complicated things start to get...

 photo 4c3424b4-2801-49fe-b4aa-6b40e21fe218_zps5760e4fc.jpg

Ghost has a traumatic past. Hearing about Ghost’s past broke my heart. Thank god for Nik and his family, or who knows where he would be.
I never knew what having a family was like until Nik befriended me. I’d never even had a friend before.

Asher is a sexy, mysterious, bad boy- or at least thats how he comes off.
Every girl wants a bad boy who is only good to her. We all want to tame a wild beast. And Ghost is as wild as a man comes.

He has a tortured soul. He is a broken man. He’s not sure if he knows how to give or receive love. His feelings for Nat are really scary to him. He knows he has found something special, someone special and he never wants to lose it. He just doesn’t know how to keep it.

 photo d9b35e31-5e4f-470e-89ad-b4b2fb624346_zps77b9550c.jpg
This girl. She’s my girl. She’s not perfect. Neither am I. But she’s perfect for me, and I’ll do anything I can to keep her.

Natalie is so different from how I thought she would be. I was nervous I wouldn’t love her as the main heroine, but I did. Under her tough exterior is a really beautiful, sweet person. She shows a whole new side of herself in this book. She lets Asher in to a side of her that no one else knew was there. These two really are a great match.

 photo 8b3caa4d-72a5-4c1a-ac5d-c6871d9f4a03_zpsd9f03a06.jpg

Ghost and Nat don’t have an easy journey. They have to fight to make their relationship work, all along keeping it a secret from their friends. Ghost has to learn to accept love, with his past, it’s not easy.
‘I have nothing to offer you.’
Tears stream down my face. I tell him, ‘Your love is something.’
‘ I don’t know what love is.’

But Natalie won’t give up on him. And he won’t give up on her. These two were perfect for one another.
‘Baby, you were made for me.’

The end left me with the biggest smile on my face!

I can’t say enough good things about this series. Entertaining, funny, emotional, sweet, steamy, just fantastic! Ghost was just to die for! And Max’s book is next... I just can’t wait!!!

Reread 5/10/16

This book left me with a big, dreamy smile on my face. Yep, I liked this book so much that it has me using the word “dreamy” in a review.

Natalie Kovac and Asher “Ghost” Collins met in the first book of the series, Friend-Zoned, and it was lust/hate at first sight, at least for Nat. The two shared a hot hookup on a conference table and have avoided each other ever since. Well, as much as two people can manage to avoid each other and still have game night with their friends every week. When Nat moves to a new apartment and has to ask her neighbor to keep the bedroom noise to a minimum so she can sleep, she finds out in the most awkward way possible that she’s now living next door to Ghost. Not surprisingly the two decide to try and be friendly to one another for the sake of their friends and to be neighborly, of course. Friendly quickly turns to bed buddies and the relationship’s off and running.

I won’t ever admit it to her, but somehow, she soothes me. I used to sit next to her in the booth only to sit back, close my eyes and let the sound of her voice penetrate me. The sweet, smooth sound would banish any memories of my dad.

I loved these two apart just as much as I loved them together. I wasn’t sure I wanted to read a whole book about Nat because she came off as abrasive to me in the first book. Deep down she’s a big, fluffy marshmallow who shows everyone around her how much she cares about them every chance she gets. She’s also sarcastic and funny as hell, personal favorites of mine as far as heroines go. Asher’s hot guy status was never in question but Belle Aurora did a fantastic job with his character. He’s suffered a horrific childhood and as a result has closed off most of his emotions. His eventual evolution to a man capable of deeply loving Nat took some time, but it was always believable and always fun to read. These two have some nice sexual chemistry going on and it made for a fairly hot read as far as contemporary romances go.

Was this book perfect? No. Did I have a few issues here and there? Well, I wouldn’t be me unless I had some issues with the book ‘cause that’s just how I roll. At its heart Love Thy Neighbour is a highly entertaining, funny, sweet and sometimes emotional book. The third book of this series can’t get here soon enough for me.

FIVE 'TOOT TOOT' STARS.

"Love sure does funny things to people."

description

I had so many recommendations for this series, I just knew it would have to be a winner for me, and I was not wrong. 'Friend zoned' grabbed my attention, it set the stage for me falling in love with characters in future books, so when it came to reading 'Love thy neighbour' I was excited to get to know these characters more and it did not in anyway disappoint. This book had the perfect characters, the perfect story telling, the perfect beginning, middle and end and whereas 'Friend zoned' just missed out on the crown of 'best reads of 2013', 'Love thy neighbour' clinched it in glorious heart-in-mouth, I can't stop thinking about this book style. Well done Bella Aurora your book is almost as sweet as your name, and here are the rest of my gushing thoughts ...

What's it all about?
Asher 'Ghost' Collins lives his life in protection mode not revealing his true self and damaging past to anyone. Love is never on the cards for this moody, broody, damaged man. The only family he has is a family that saved him from his abusive lifestyle, this family just got a whole lot bigger when his 'brother' Nikolai gets married to Tina a girl who comes with a friend package in the form of a kick ass, ball breaker and all round man-eater Natalie Kovac, when Nat and Ghost spend a sexual encounter that is off the scales the duo decide to stay far, far away from each other, but with a chemistry and interest in each other that can't be denied we follow the story of two hearts that both need to learn how to love.

description

Meet the characters ...
Natalie Kovac, meeting Tina in 'Friend zoned' I thought my love for a heroine had peaked, well much to my surprise Bella Aurora has just forced me to make more room in my heart. Natalie is kick ass, goofy, smart mouthed but full of love and reluctant to share her vulnerable side. I connected with Natalie I felt every heartache, every pleasure and every joy with this character, her point of view was hilarious, witty and at times soul searching. I could not have wanted a happy ending more for a character and I applaud the author for once again delivering a heroine that is loveable in this measure.

Asher 'Ghost' Collins, has a pride of place position in my hall of fame entitled DMJ collection (damaged man junkie). Ash is a character that I challenge any readers not to fall in love with. Moody, angry and carrying more baggage than most, this character transforms with the pages into a loving, protective over the top sexy hero. There is nothing not to like here and I'm adding this loveable rogue to my all time favourite characters.

What did I love?
I think it goes without saying at this point that this book more than surpassed the five star mark for my reading taste. Bella Aurora combines sexy, funny and dramatic in an easy-to-read style that is addictive and well written. I can't finish my review without talking about the group of friends in this series, the girls are hilarious and completely dedicated to each other and the 'guys' are swoon worthy and protective, together this group is a book force not to be reckoned with and I've never enjoyed characters more. 'Love thy neighbour' is a fast paced sexy read that I did not want to put down and I loved falling in love with the characters and their story.

description

Final thoughts ...
Bella Aurora has got me hooked on this series and I'm more than just a little excited about the prospect of reading Max's story in the next of the series. This series is a laugh a minute, sexy with some surprising deeper moments that touch on life and it's more than difficult moments I can't recommend this author and her writing enough ... What you waiting for? Go grab it readers, kisses.

Another one of my all time favorite M/F books. I have read this one plenty of times, because it's one of my "feel good" books. It has helped me out of many bookslumps :)

This is the second book in the series and it would be best to start with the first, since the MC's are introduced in that book. That said....I myself read everything assbackwards so I won't judge :P

https://www.google.com/search?q=no judgement gif

Anyways...this book is about Asher "Ghost" Collins and Nathalie Kovac . These two met, when their two best friends, Nik and Tina became involved with each other, in the previous book, "Friend-Zoned". Ghost works security for "The White Rabbit" club, which he, Nik and Max (Nik's brother) own. Nathalie works for the boutique Tina owns.

FOTO BEWERKEN - makkelijk online je foto's bewerken of aanpassen

The two of them had a little roll in the hay about year ago, and they can't seem to get it out of their minds. Nathalie knows she has to protect her heart against Ghost, so as soon as she starts to develop some feelings for him, she decides it would be best for them, to start avoiding each other. This is not what Ghost really wants, but he goes along with it anyways...

So... Nathalie goes on with her her life, and Ghost goes on with his, fucking his way through the female poulation, to get Nat out of his head.

Everyting is going as Nathalie wants it, though she knows, that deep inside, she really does miss asshole Ghost. She won't have to miss him much longer though.  Guess who she comes face to face with, when she moves into her new apartment and confronts her new neighbours, when they are making loud sex-noices throughout the night. That's Right...Ghost.

Jaydenkiss's uploaded images - Imgur

Since avoidance is no longer an option, the two of them decide to try and be friends. The sexual tension between the two of them is through the roof, and after Ghost saves Nat's ass twice...they no longer want to deny their attraction to one another. So they become "fuck buddies".

tumblr_lv6eyouKfH1qb9pa3o1_500.gif (500×254)

Ghost and Nathalie keep their arramgement a secret from their friends, and for a while they are pretty content. That is until these pesky feelings start to get in their way. Nathalie loves Ghost, but Ghost isn't sure he will ever be able to return those feelings. Not because he doesn't want to, or doesn't care, because he does. It's because he thinks he is not capable of loving someone, because of his fucked-up past. He tries though....he really does.

Tina leans forward and asks quietly, “Do you? You know? Love her?”
Squeezing Nat’s knee again, I reply, “She’s teachin’ me how.”

I absolutely loved this couple. They were funny, sweet, hot and in Ghost's case quite broken.

Nat has definitely become one of my "all time favorite" heroines. And even though all the books in this series are awesome, this one will always be my favorite of the bunch !!

+5 AMAZING,FUNNY,HOT STARS!!

"..I don't need anyone approving of what I feel for you, babe.
I just need you and I hope all you need is me, too."

Wow wow wow <333 I love it!!!!It was so good *sigh*Let me start off by saying I am completely and utterly in love with Nat and Ghost!!!I am not sure I have ever felt so much love and passion for characters! This book was hot and hilarious from the beginning!! I was so sad when I reached the end..I want more Ash and Nat <33

Natalie and Asher "Ghost" have always had a contentious friendship. One night they having the hottest sex ever. But after that they decide to avoid each other and forget what happened...When Nat moved in her new apartment...She meet her new neighbor...

What happens when your sexy neighbor is Ghost??
Are you willing to become friends again??
Is friendship enough to satisfy either of them??
description

I really liked Natalie. She’s a strong confident woman and she isn't afraid to put anybody in their place, including Asher. She is my second woman crush I have after Perry for EIT :))
Asher just be the sexiest most beautifully broken man I have ever meet!!I love him!!!!He has a shit past :(( omg my heart is so broken for him!!Those demons from the past keep him locked up.

I loved how their love story slowly unfolded.Their sexual attraction was obvious. And believe me the sex scenes was so hot!!!

description

"Ill do it girl. I'll take care of you and I'll love you forever."

But, what I like most so far about this book and this series is the humour, it is sarcastic. Not only is there are funny moments but the banter between the characters and the internal monologue is hilarious as well.

This was a sexy and emotional book mixed with a handsome tortured hero and a sassy heroine and humour!!!I can't wait for the next book!!!

If you read book one, then you know that Ghost (Asher) and Nat shared one scorching encounter together. Sparks were practically visible between them. And this is their story, albeit with one big difference...now they are neighbors!!! And STILL in the "Friend Zone."

I seriously love this author. Natalie's inner dialogue cracks me the hell up. Here's my Nat:

She's got the same kind of potty humor going on in her head that my husband and I have...slightly immature but fun as hell and funny as hell, too. Here are a nice list of my favorite Nat'isms...

** "I wouldn't say I'm a slut. I'm just in touch with my inner slut. And let me tell you, she rocks."

** "Okay, so either my heart is breaking or someone spabbed me in the boob..."

** "Turns out I know yoga..."...(after having car sex, bahaha!)

** "I'm so happy I could shit rainbows!!"

** "Lola looks at me as if I just told her that ice cream actually has crack in it..."

So this was freaking hilarious. Natalie has this love/hate thing going on with Ghost, and the sexual tension is so palpable, it's bleeding from the pages. I don't remember Nic and Tina's story being quite this freaking HOT. I'm telling you, when these two finally get down to business...well, here is a little taste of yum...

"By the time Ash was ready to blow, I was ready to blow myself. Through a groan, he said "It's coming, girl. Where do you want it?"
I didn't respond, just bobbed my head faster and deeper. He stroked my hair and whispered, "Dirty girl. Fuck. So dirty. You want my load? Take it, baby..."

Oh, and this one...**wiping sweat from my upper lip...**

"I gasp when he grops the hair at the base of my neck tightly. He pulls gently for me to look up at him, and when I do, I see his soft brown eyes are dark and hooded. He grunts, "How do you want it?"
Still minus my brain-to-mouth filter, I whisper, "Fuck me like you hate me."
An almost cruel smile corsses his face. He utters, "Fuck yeah"...

And then it got a tiny bit kinky....

But also sad, because Ghost has had a horrible, HORRIBLE childhood, and when he tells his story, it just breaks your heart. Here's my reluctant cutie pie Ghost:

I just loved pretty much everything about this book. I don't have anything bad to say. It's all made of awesome. Ghost...awesome! Natalie...awesome! Nat's sister...awesome! The whole gang from the White Rabbit...awesome!!! So, five big stars from me, and I am SOOOOOO looking forward to Max's story!

In honor of Natalie and Ghost's reservations and to try to catch the attentions of my Croatian friends...

"Pamet u glavu! Nemoj mi sramotit!" Lol...I have no idea if that's right or not, but Croatians sound like a ball of fun and family.

5 Really neighborly stars!

description

This is the story of Natalie and Asher (aka Ghost).
Both of their best friends fell in love in the first book of this series (I really don’t know their story because for the first time in my life I started a series from the second book, I guess I’ll have to read it :P) .
A few months back, they had a really hot one-night-stand that neither of them could really forget, but when Asher wants another night, Natalie becomes scared of starting to have feelings for him and say that is better start avoiding each other. Ghost doesn’t like it very much, but he accepts. Not that he have other option, anyway.
But since he really can’t forget Natalie and nobody else can do what she can for him: make him feel in peace, since he is a broken soul, so he basically spends the next months doing one activity: screwing everything that moves.

description

When Natalie moves to a new home, in one of her first nights her neighbors won’t stop making noise… while having sex. And his new neighbor is nobody less than… Ghost. Obviously.
Since their attraction (and their complicity) is growing by the minute and they really can’t avoid each other anymore, they settle in being f*ck-buddies, because both of them have relationship issues (well, especially him!)

description

But although their physical relationship is hot. And believe me: Oh sooo hot!!, we all know where this is going. (Hey, nobody said that predictability is a bad thing!)

description

And well, you really have to read it to know the rest of their story, but it is SO worthy it.
This book is addictive, the characters (All of them!!) are awesome and it has just the right amount of fun, sweet, sexy (a lot!) and sometimes is heartbreakingly beautiful.
I seriously advise you to not miss out on this one ;)

This was soooooo good! I think I enjoyed this one better than the first. I had a big smile at the end of this. So awesome! And I LOVED ASHER!!

Asher "Ghost" Collins and Natalie Kovac, who you know if you read the first book, shared one night of panty melting passion. One that neither can get out of their heads. It left both wanting so much more. But Nat got scared so she made sure that Asher stayed away from her. After seven months apart, Asher wants Nat any way he can get her, even if it is just as friends. Yes, they become friends... and then soon with benefits. Both of them bring out the best out of each other, which soon makes them want to take a chance at a relationship. But they are also both broken, which makes it really hard for them.

Nat, oh lordy, how I loved that crap out this crazy woman. Which is weird because I didn't know what to think of her in the first book. She was strong and confident, and full of attitude. She was kind and caring in her own way. She tells it like she sees it, which can be quite entertaining. She's flirty, and so much fun. She also has her issues. She's loud and a total goofball to hide the fact that she is unhappy. She goes through some things in the start of the book that made me feel for her. But I was so happy she had Asher there for her.

Asher... SWOON!! I freaking loved him so damn much! I hurt so much for his TERRIBLE ubringing. It seriously broke my heart. He was broken and scarred from it. But to me, he was beautiful and amazing! He was a bit lost there for a moment which almost killed me, but I am so happy with how he turned out in the end. He was strong, domineering, could be so sweet, and oh, so yummy!! Sorry Nik, but I really LOVED Asher!! *SIGH* I loved how he took care of Nat and how he "learned' to love. Something he has never known, yet he knows that he wants Nat. He can't get enough of her.

The steam in this book did not disappoint in the least. It was through the roof, panty combustible HOT!! I love how freaking enjoyable it was to read any interaction between them because the chemistry between the characters was amazing. Belle Aurora is just brilliant when it comes to creating a chemistry that you can feel and that hooks you in. Even with the secondary characters, it makes you want to have them all as your friends. They are all just so great together.

This book had a bit of everything. I laughed out loud, got teary eyed, felt hurt, panted from the steam, and smiled so big. It was an enjoyable second book to the series, and in my opinion, better than the first. The ending to this book was so heart warming. I'm so happy how things concluded for Nat and Asher. I have fallen in love with ALL of the characters. That's right, even the women. I can't freaking wait to read their books. And, to see more of Nat and Asher in them. I definitely recommend you read these book.

Nat

Confident, strong, but so funny and loves her friends.

Asher “Ghost”

Dark & mysterious with a troubled past.

FIRST…. A well deserved two thumbs up to Belle Aurora for another AMAZING book in the Friend-Zoned series!!

SECOND….I love this series so much!

I want to be in New York, work at Safira’s and hang out with all of these characters at the White Rabbit.Yes, yes, I know they aren’t real, but how cool would that be if they were!! I know those of you who have read this series understand.

THIRD….If you have not read this book then I only have two words for you…DO IT! Okay, maybe I have three more words…READ THIS SERIES!!

This is a funny romantic novel that will have you so engulfed in the story that one minute you are laughing, then crying and the next minute your panties melting.

This book is about Natalie “Nat” and Asher “Ghost” who have a love/hate relationship. They hooked up for one night of amazing bend you over the conference table sex in book 1, Friend-Zoned. After that night Nat knew she would be in trouble if she let anything further happen between her and Ghost so she pushed him away and tried to avoid him for seven months. Once she moves into her new apartments she finds out that Ghost is her next-door neighbor.

Once Nat and Ghost put aside their differences they quickly become friends. They are soon watching TV in their pajamas and eating ice cream. Before long they decide to turn their relationship sexual. The sexual chemistry between these two is undeniable. While the sex between these two is HOT they decide to keep their relationship private.

I really like his kisses. They make my hoo-hah quiver with delight.

Before Nat realizes it she’s fallen in love with Ghost. Since Nat speaks her mind she is the first to say “Love you.” Due to Ghosts traumatic childhood he doesn’t feel like he’s worthy of someone like Nat and he’s not sure if he even knows how to love. Of course he’s a dumbass and takes off. After he gets himself together he comes back and boy does he make it up to Nat.

This girl. She’s my girl. She’s not perfect. Neither am I. But she’s perfect for me, and I’ll do anything I can to keep her.

White tulips symbolize forgiveness. Forgive me, pretty girl.

Lilac Irises symbolize first love. Still love me, baby?

One side of his mouth quirks up, he lowers his forehead to mine and he quotes me, “You and me. We’re the same kind.”

Oh and you have to meet these two. Believe me, you will love them.
Pizza & Donut

“Say it.”

Confused, I pull back further and look into his hooded eyes. He repeats, “Say it, baby.”

It dawns on me and with a small smile, I tell him sincerely, “I love you, Asher Collins.”

Looking pained, he closes his eyes and rests his forehead on mine. He whispers, “Don’t deserve you. Not even a bit. But as long as you want me, you got me.”

My eyes close and I whisper, “Don’t leave me. Ever.”

“Never. You’re my girl,” he replies seriously.

To me this book was all

and I was like

and for me that’s

Yes there is a HEA and I cannot wait until Max's story comes out!

Finally continuing The Friend-Zoned series and I'm curious about this one because it's about Nat and Ghost. I had my eyes set on them since the previous book as the chemistry between them is explosive and they're sort of frenemies. They hooked up but kept their distance afterwards. Both have reasons why they're not in serious relationships and for months, they've been casually dating others.

In this book, Nat moves in a new apartment and her new neighbour happens to be Ghost. The brewing sexual tension escalated and I'm amused they make each other jealous but undeniably they care about each other's welfare. It took them a while to be an official couple and it honestly frustrated me. I just want them to be together ASAp. Nat and Ghost revealed their pasts and help each other cope with it. Especially for Ghost because of his abusive childhood experiences. Nat comforted him throughout.

I lowered my rating for this book because it dragged on. It wasn't a slow burn romance, the last minute drama got in their way and I skimmed some parts because it's either petty or I'm just not interested in it.

5 Hilarious,Emotional and Fantastic Stars!!

This girl. She’s my girl.
She’s not perfect. Neither am I. But she’s perfect for me, and I’ll do anything I can to keep her."

Right this book is brilliant.. you should all go read it!!
I was so excited to find out more about Asher (Ghost). In the first book he is reserved and quiet i always wanted to know what was going on with him. Wow did this book really develop his character I loved everything!

Asher 'Ghost' Collins and Natalie Kovac shared a passionate night together. One neither of them can forget. So why are they avoiding each other? And what will happen when Nat finds out Asher is her new neighbor? Can they be just friends?

"I don't make it this way, Nat. You do. Ever since we... You've been ten times the bitch you normally are. What you don't get is,' he leans down and whispers, 'that does something to me. It makes me wanna soothe the tiger in you. Bend you over another table and pound you into submission. Because that works with you.' His lips brush my ear. 'From a tiger into a mewing kitten. And I like that side of you, pretty girl. You think you're puting me off with this supreme bitch act? Nope, all you're doing is making me hard."

Haha! There were so many parts I laughed out loud but there was also a lot of heart breaking emotional moments! This book had a bit of everything and I just cant wait for more.

One minute I was like..

Next minute..

Asher..Asher..Asher I bloody love ya!I felt so sorry for him with all that happened to him and admired him for being so strong, carrying on and being a better person.

I love Nik for befriending him when they were younger, you find out that he really does love Nik and Max as brothers and Niks family is Asher's family.Nat and Asher are just perfect for each other they both need one another.

"I won’t ever admit it to her, but somehow, she soothes me. I used to sit next to her in the booth only to sit back, close my eyes and let the sound of her voice penetrate me. The sweet, smooth sound would banish any memories of my dad."

~~~
"You and me. We're the same kind."
~~~

“Say it, baby.”
Ever.”
“Never. You’re my girl,”

Next book please be out soon!

This book was pure utter perfection! I was so excited for Ghost's book and it didn't disappoint. I adore the gang and it was all there - funny as hell, steamy sex, Ghost is as perfect as they come. And the ending - holy shitballs I laughed and I cried tears of happiness. The ending is exactly what all us die-hard romance readers NEED in an ending. I big-puffy-heart this series and this author. I can not wait for Max's book now!!

If possible, I found Love Thy Neighbour even more entertaining than Friend-Zoned.
There were many funny & touching moments along with some very hot scenes, and seeing the rest of the gang was a bonus.
I will absolutely read the next in this series, Sugar Rush.

Disappointed.

Love Thy Neighbour does not hit the love aspect. The banter, conversation, characters wise is immature and cheesy. Miss Aurora does not help with original plot/ story either.

The whole story sounds copied and paste into a book.

Anyway.... moving on

"I’m not religious at all. I don’t believe in God. But looking at Nat right now…I’d like to think this is what angels look like if they existed."

Old line? Yes, but did it stop me from smiling like an idiot. NO!

description

This book is about Ghost a.k.a Asher and Natalie. We were introduced to the both of them in the first book with unfulfilled chemistry. The love-hate relationship was all "been there done that", but I was still super duper excited to read this book! For some reason I always loved Ghost. My enigmatic Ghost! *fans self* maybe because....

"Every girl wants a bad boy who is only good to her. We all want to tame a wild beast. And Ghost is as wild as a man comes."

description

Natalie is this funny, sarcastic, "I don't take no shit" character and I loved her a lot too! Her inner monologues were ridiculously funny! And I personally like characters with an awesome sense of humor and Nat seem to have it all! *Whoot whoot!* I found myself relating to Nat more than Tina from the first book!

It's like Belle Aurora just wield her magic and puts her best into every character. The villain is potrayed in way that makes the reader want to pull him/her out of the book and rip their heart out and scream like hulk, and the protagonists are portrayed in the most inspirational way that grab the hearts of the readers! She knows where to place each character and what characteristics to ascribe to each!

Well this is the second book in this series and honestly I thought the plot got less interesting and instead of this being better than the first book, I felt it kinda lost its flare. My excitement went down by 100 doughnuts (time to panic.... bitch mode - on!) I should mention that I did roll my eyes at some parts too. I thought this beautiful story of finding love was wayyyyyy to dominated by sex. It wasn't exactly an erotica according to me,but it was pretty close to being one. And I am personally not a fan of books being dictated by sex. It made me feel that the thing between Nat and Ash was not love but just sexual attraction and tension. I don't have this belief that they will last long together. This isn't supposed to be this way, I am supposed to imagine them watching a sunset together at 60 but I just couldn't.

Well all of this negative feeling I had kinda did fade a bit towards the end when they actually did a little more than "rock each others world". Ghost rediscovers himself and I like that. I like it he made an effort even after all that he's been through! The way he comes back and sweeps Nat off her off of her feet again, well I think it worked on me too. *blush blush*

description

It was a hea but not in plastic-y way. It was natural. Most Natural way any couple would have lived. Rough patches, surprising each other, and mostly loving each other (well they did, though I still thought it was a little superficial)

Not the best, but me still want to do the Gangnam style..!

Tina giggles and whispers, “Sorry, Ghost, but it totally was.”
They all look around that table smiling like a bunch of fools and I’m so nervous that I blurt out,

This is one of those everyone-loved-it-but-me kind of books. They are the worst kind to review, in my opinion.

First off, I didn't read the first installment in this series. I didn't feel the need to. This book pretty much explained that happened in the first book, so I didn't get lost. After reading this one, I doubt if I'll ever read Friend-zoned.

See, parts of this book, I really liked. It had some hilarious moments especially with the whole gang being the way that they are. I loved their makeshift family so to speak.

Asher aka Ghost was gruff, macho and hot. I liked him. He was the perfect hero who made some pretty shitty decision but not surprisingly, those flaws endeared him to me. I liked Nat too. Although there were times when I found her abrasive and totally confusing, like, "Girl, make up your mind, huh?" But in spite all that, I actually cared for her as a character.

One thing I didn't like though was the writing. I just couldn't get into it.

I’m about to stand when an arm goes around
my waist. I look up and see Ghost frowning down at me. His bowtie
is undone and it hangs around his collar.
So hot.
He orders, “Dance. Now.”
Then he tightens his hold around my waist
and drags me to the dance floor. We’re the only ones on it. He
takes my hands, winds them around the back of his neck and steps
closer to me. He holds me tight with one hand on the middle of my
back, while the other is half on my lower back, half on my ass. He
has me wrapped up.
I’m unsure what’s going on right now, so I
react the only way I’m programmed to.
In anger.
I blink then hiss, “What is wrong with
you?”
He blinks. His brow furrows and his eyes
flash, then he hisses right back, “With me? What the fuck is wrong
with you?”
Ouch.
I don’t like Ghost being angry with me. What
did I do now?

Again, it's not really bad but personally, I just couldn't get into it. And Ghost sounded like a chick in his POV. Plus, these are grown men and women and they still use the word wifey, icky feels, veg, vajayjay? What the feck?

I'm pretty sure that with all the five stars this book has been getting, this is really just a matter of personal preference. Most of my friends loved it. I didn't. I'm the odd one out. Again.

Peace.

~~5 HEARTS~~

Love Thy Neighbor is the second book in the Friend Zoned series. This book focuses on Asher (aka Ghost) and Nat. I really enjoyed reading this. There were a lot of "laugh out loud" moments. I really enjoy enemies-to-lovers books. It makes it so much more interesting to read in my opinion. Asher and Nat couldn't stand each other but their attraction for each other was much stronger. They despised and avoided each other, that's until their attraction became unavoidable.

Asher had a shitty childhood. His father was an abusive monster and his mother stood by and didn't do anything to stop him. If it wasn't for Nik, his best friend, and his family, Asher wouldn't have turned out the way he did. Nik and his family saved him from a life of torture and abuse. He had a tough exterior but he was such a sweet and caring person once he let you in. One taste of Nat was not enough for him. He couldn't get her off his mind. He thought all he needed to do was get her out of his system. But instead of getting her out of his system, his plan backfired and she was ingrained in his body and soul.

When her best friend moves out and she's forced to find a new place, what Nat doesn't know is, her new neighbor is the one and only GHOST. When a sexcapade next door turns into an annoyance, Nat politely knocks on her neighbor's door to ask if they can keep the noise down. To her surprise she finds out her noisy neighbor is Ghost. Nat and Asher forms a neighborly bond as they spend more and more time with each other. They soon find out that they like each other more than they hate each other. Asher was such a sweetheart. He may have had his demons but his heart was always in the right place.

These books keep on getting better and better. I love a book that can make me swoon and laugh in a matter of minutes. This was a great enjoyable read for me. If you want a little humor and romance, then this series would be a great choice.

Ghost, whose real name is Asher, and I had a 'moment' last year. If a 'moment' includes being dragged down the hall of a club, having your panties ripped off, then being f**ked on a conference table while you beg and scream for more, then, yes, we shared a moment.

After reading Friend-Zoned, I could not wait for more Belle Aurora! I loved her characters. I loved her voice. I loved everything! Love Thy Neighbor did not disappoint.

In book one, I fell for the characters...all of the characters. I was so excited for a new story, but at the same time I wasn't sure if I was ready to let Tina and Nik go. Their story made my vagina wobble and my heart ache. I literally fell in love with everything. Leave it to Belle Aurora to make me fall in love...again.

Humor dipped in heart and passion. Men who protect their soft hearts with hard bodies. A group of misfits that come together to form a family. A family that will lay down everything to keep each other safe. I get chills just thinking about it.

Love Thy Neighbor is Ghost and Nats story.

Ghost...I'm not a known giver of f**ks, and Nat...Okay, so either my heart is breaking or someone stabbed me in the boob.

It has the trifecta of sexual tension, action, heart, and kick ass humor. Make that a fourfecta. The bantering, the awesome one-liners, and the return of the characters we loved from Friend-Zoned. It's like book one never ended, and I loved getting more. I can't wait to get more.

My only complaint is that I was hoping for a little more Cole drama. I thought the conflict would have been drawn out longer with a bigger climax, more boom. I got resolution, but I love when my alpha males get the opportunity to save the day, repeatedly. Also, the ending kind of swept me away. So much got squeezed into the end. I mean, I loved every single moment, but it made the ending feel a bit rushed.

To say I can't wait for the next book would be absolutely correct. Circle gets a square!!! It is completely safe to say that I Love Thy Belle Aurora!!

“Say it, baby.”
Ever.”
“Never. You’re my girl,”

The first book in the series, Friend-Zoned, was so much fun to read, so I was beyond excited when this book came out early. Not sure if it’s the writing style, the characters, or if it’s the duel POVs, but then again, it could be the combination of everything that’s making me a huge fan of this series. Once again, I found pure reading enjoyment :)

This is Nat and Asher’s (a.k.a. Ghost) story. Both characters were prominent in book one, where we bore witness to their constant bantering; their strong personalities constantly clashing. It’s safe to say that these two are very similar in attitude, which is NOT a good thing...trust me. However, that did not stop them from hooking up in the conference room one night; a night that neither could ever get over.

"I get a sick, twisted sense of enjoyment seeing her all riled up.”

After their one, hot, steamy, memorable night in the conference room, they try to avoid each other like the plague. Their circle of friends, with the exception of Tina, know nothing of their moment of weakness that one night. Its quite well known that the two do not get along.

Nat is a freaking spitfire; I was immediately drawn to her character. She’s confident, strong, and has a tell-it-like-it-is persona. After reading the first chapter, I knew instantly she deserved to be in my heroine makes me want to turn bi shelf. LOL!

I feel strongly for her. Stronger than I’ve ever felt for anyone in my life and knowing she’s mine makes me feel like I can do anything. Overcome anything.

As for Asher, he’s sexy, badass and has a quiet dangerous quality about him. He does NOT do relationships. He’s led a harsh life and if it wasn’t for the help of Nik and his family, he could’ve turned out even worse. Nat is his dream girl; a girl in which he feels like he doesn’t deserve.

Months after their encounter and of avoiding each other, they found themselves surprised when Nat moves right next door to him. They decide to call a truce. Their friendship soon turns into something more, though they both decide to keep their relationship a secret. For now, at least, they want this for themselves. But how long will this arrangement last? Will Asher be able to overcome his past to be the man Nat deserves?

One side of his mouth quirks up, he lowers his forehead to mine and he quotes me, “You and me. We’re the same kind.”

Loved. This. Book. The relationship between Asher and Nat was not only hot, but also very emotional. They just get each other. But it wasn’t all drama, though. I found myself smiling, a lot. Yep, lots and lots of funny and amusing moments.

I can’t wait to read Max & Helena’s book next. Max is so awesome. He’s a loving father and just an overall sweetheart. For him to be paired up with Nat’s sister, Helena, whose studying to be a physical therapist, is a perfect match; I can only imagine what kind of magic she can do with Max’s daughter, Ceecee. Plus, she’s Nat’s sister! If Asher wasn’t in the picture, Nat and Max would’ve been a great match. OMG. I can go on and on about this series. Just read it! It’ll make you smile :)

4.5 Pretty Girl Stars

Natalie Kovac and Asher (aka Ghost) Collins were hilarious. They both had walls up in order to protect themselves from heartbreak. Natalie believed she was broken and Asher/Ghost thought he didn't know how to love due to his childhood and upbringing. But once they got together, it was electric. First as friends, then as lovers, then as much much more.

I loved how fiercely Natalie and Asher would defend each other against anyone they thought would or could hurt the other. Even when Nat was emotionally hurting when Asher went away, she still went after someone she thought could hurt him. I loved how Asher took care of Cole, and though it wasn't that type of book, I was curious about the darker side of Ghost. The man who almost seemed to get off on hurting someone.

They made me laugh to the point of clutching my stomach and trying to breath in many parts of the book, all the way to the end. And they made me tear up a little with some of their heartbreak. But this was hands down better than the first book. I did keep waiting for the other shoe to drop because so many dropped in the first book in this series. But none actually happened and I was pleasantly surprised.

I was hoping that Lola and Diego (aka Trick's) story would be next. But I'm still looking forward to reading about the woman who could capture Mack's heart.

Nat and Asher, oh I loved this couple!!

This story had almost everything! It made me laugh so much, it had some steamy-hot love scenes, and it had emotions, that both of them could not admit initially.

Especially when Asher was telling his story, he had me sobbing all along.

Totally loved it and I highly recommend it!!!

4.5--Ghost Loving--Stars!

What is it with hero's named Ghost? They are all so hot and sexy and dominant!

So...this is book 2 in the Friend-Zoned series, I think I loved this one even more than the first one. Friend-Zoned was a tad on the sappy side, but this one wasn't. It was still sweet and funny but the characters were a bit more damaged I guess.

Love Thy Neighbor is the story of Nat and Ghost. And while I obvs LOVED Ghost, I honestly didn't love Nat. I liked her, don't get me wrong. She was funny and spunky and gave Ghost shit but I guess I didn't like that she was SO against being with Ghost in the beginning and kept pushing him away. Poor, sweet Ghost!

Ghost's story broke my heart. His past was so tragic and really affected his life--especially his ability to love.

"I have nothing to offer you."
Tears stream down my face. I tell him, "Your love is something."
"I don’t know what love is."

Ghost and Nat go months denying their feeling for each other until....

Guess who??? Ghost and Nat are neighbors!!!! So it wasn't creepy like that or anything but it was funny how Nat discovered who her new neighbor was. Ghost and Nat decide to be friends, which eventually turns to + benefits!

Because that shit was HOT!!! Smoking HOT!!!

Ghost and Nat keep their relationship a secret from the gang...or so they think. Eventually feelings get in the mix and Nat finds herself falling in love with Ghost. But is Ghost capable of love and loving Nat back???

"This girl. She’s my girl. She’s not perfect. Neither am I. But she’s perfect for me, and I’ll do anything I can to keep her.

Excellent addition to the series. They just keep getting better and better. This book had it all--it made me laugh, smile, swoon, and cry!! It was a standalone with a HEA. I can't wait for the next book in the series.

Friend-Zoned is back and Belle Aurora knows how to put her readers ‘ panties in twist as well as make them laugh!

You can read here my review of first book in Friend –Zoned Series.

This girl. She’s my girl. She’s not perfect. Neither am I. But she’s perfect for me, and I’ll do anything I can to keep her."

Love Thy Neighbor is as good, amusing and sexy as her precursor. Everything I Ioved in Tina and Nik’s story is present in Ghost and Nat book which makes it highly worth reading. Along with Wall banger Love Thy Neighbor is the funniest book I’ve read this year.

Natalie:

I love her witty personality and brutal honesty. She’s fantastic, easygoing and full of optimism.

Asher aka Ghost

Secretive man. Oozes sexiness. Hot as fuck male. Yum.

Everything started about a year ago when they shared quick passionate sex in conference room, after that things started falling apart. They can’t forget about each other and how their bodies worked good together, but they still decide to avoid contact. Despite this, sexual attraction between them is still in full swing and nothing will make them stop wanting and needing each other.

“Say it, baby.”
Ever.”
“Never. You’re my girl,”

With great storyline, unique and hilarious humor, excessive characters Love Thy Neighbor is a book every fan of good contemporary romance will enjoy immensely. It’s great entertainment.

There is not enough I can say about Love Thy Neighbour by Belle Aurora. This is the first book I have read by this author and I can tell you I will be looking for anything and everything she has written. Love Thy Neighbour was beautifully written, contains some of the most well thought out, well developed, intriguing and lovable characters I have ever read. There is never a dull moment in the story lines, twists and turns that you never saw coming and that make you feel absolutely every emotion possible from the written word. I detest spoilers, so I will tell you as much as I can without giving anything away.
I absolutely could not put this book down, read it in one sitting (even while making dinner)!
Asher and Nat were made real with the superb descriptions and insight into exactly what made them tick. I was so sure they would never reach common ground, then I realized the true meaning of "you complete me" when these two amazing characters finally accepted their destinies. Another case of art imitates life, nothing is ever easy or without its trials but anything worth having is worth fighting for and these characters are fighters from the word go.
The entire cast of characters is amazing and completely written. I fell in love with Nat's sisters and her father! They draw you in and make you want to be part of this "family". This book reinforces the idea that family is not only the people you with whom you share blood.
I absolutely recommend this book to absolutely everyone!!!

After reading the first book, i was eager to start this book. I'm glad i did. I was not disappointed. We were introduced to Nat & Ghost in first book,i can say i like them both. Now I've got to know them more, i loved them. Both characters are impressive on their own.

The story was entertaining from beginning till end. It contain of complete amount of humor and drama. I like the hilarious banter of two. I like sometime they acted like a kid. They are perfect together. Nat,my kind of heroine, straightforward, sassy, and giving love and doing everything for her loved ones. But you don't want to mess with her or her family/friends. Ghost,a damaged man, went through hardship growing up,found his home to Nik's family. His story was heart wrenching. It made us understand Ghost attitude. When they decide to become bed buddies, that sparks the chemistry they trying to avoid and deny. And they are so hot and explode whenever they together. Nat helped Ghost to know and find love.

What really captured my heart was the pregnancy issue. Personal reason, i can relate to Nat because we have the same problem. I adore Nat, even she had breakdown facing issues.

I just hope the other characters will have their own story. I loved all of them that i wish i have them all. The series surprise me, because i think this only series i love more the heroine. The family they form was awesome. I'm looking forward for Max story. This is highly rec for those looking for best contemporary romance.

3.5 rounded down.

See my notes about the 30-40% before they actually got together.

This was essentially a repeat in terms of personality of the heroine. Just like Helena. A little more over the top. I like Nat, I do. Just the writing is so SIMILAR as to not be fresh. I skipped a lot.

I like Ash too, but I was expecting...more. I was very interested in him from book 3 about Max and Helena. Because Ash is supposed to be the silent, strong, deep feeling man or few words.

He talked plenty in this book!

Anyway, it was just... not up to expectations. I prob won't be reading more by this author for a while unless it's free.

Not my cup of tea.

I thought this novel might have been different from other contemporary books. It is different in that it is more humorous.

But I simply did not like the characteristics of the main characters. It was the story of a bad boy playboy. This said boy has been sleeping around after their (the heroine and his) one night together, whereas the girl has not been with another after him.

Apparently it's very hard to forget someone who has already forgotten/replaced her several times over.
