Why are Scalett Metal's books so short? I want more! I love Sam and Lance's story not only is he a rock star but he loves his Mom. Who wouldn't love that. I really enjoyed Home Sweet Home it was a short novella but really made it's way into my heart. I didn't think it could get better than the first book I remember You but I may of liked this book a little more. Sam was sweet and patient and we get to see what a great Mother she has become. Scarlett Metal has a way of making the story so pure you are bound to love all of it.


Things are going pretty well for Sam and Lance. They have definitely been making up for some lost time and now with another baby on the way things couldn't be sweeter. Lance is due to go on tour with his band and Sam and their young daughter aren't going to be able to go on the road. It's a long separation but they love one another and are determined to hold on to what they have. They were separated for years so what's a couple months! Things start to get hard on Lance with some problems with the band and unexpected surprises. He starts walking on a thin line and Sam will be the only on capable of bringing him back to home sweet home.



I have to say that Sam is so sweet I may have gotten a cavity. She is a wonderful wife to Lance and they are so good for each other. Lance makes some mistakes but not ones that aren't fixable. He loves Sam and his family with everything he is. The man has a heart of gold. I simply adore him. So if you are looking for something short, sweet, and a little hot than this is the book for you. If you haven't read I Remember You it is a must read. It is the beginning of Sam and Lance's story and I would suggest they be read together. I loved it and I'm sure you will too!

Home Sweet Home follows right after I remember you. We left off I remember you with Sam telling everyone at a concert that she is pregnant. It was their 3rd wedding anniversary.

Lance's family has grown from just him and Sam to him, Sam and Emma their daughter. Oh and she is pregnant with their 2nd child. Lance is getting ready to go on tour but doesn't want to leave his girls. Last time Sam toured with them but she has a book tour and will be busy. As he leaves Sam gets this feeling like something is wrong. If she only knew then what she found out I think she wouldn't have to beg him to stay home.

They have many trials in this book. Nicole shows back up, but she is all over a band member. Still having her around isn't all that great. We found out that Lance turned to alcohol in those 10yrs they were not together. He is slowly turning back to it.

One weekend he went home just to receive some bad news about his mom. He was also dealing with the suits as they call them at the studio and their record. The tour might have to be extended. While back on the road he finds out he is having another girl. He is thrilled and he goes out to celebrate. Little did he know that while out celebrating he could of lost his family.

I could go on but I'm not. I liked this book, there were times I laughed, times I cried and cried some more. Daily life takes it's toll on both Sam and Lance. But being apart is much more worse than it was before. This book is also .99 cents on amazon. Go get your copy today. You will like it just like I did.

Home Sweet Home was an excellent follow up to I Remember You! I will admit I was anxious that the sequel story of Lance and Samantha wouldn't be as good as I Remember You, but I had NOTHING to worry about, Scarlett Metal did a phenomenal job of showing us how Lance and Samantha are living out their Happily Ever After.

I love getting to revisit favorite characters and seeing how they fared after the romance of the reunion fades and real life begins! Home Sweet Home picks up a few years after I Remember You, they now have a little girl, a new one on the way and two careers that are successful. This novella was a treat to read, it was fast paced, blushingly hot and chock full of wonderful!

Scarlett Metal's writing is easy to fall into and get wrapped up in, the characters are interesting, the pacing is great and the story will touch your heart, make you sigh and wish you had a rocker of your own to come home too! I loved that Samantha and Lance had challenges to face and overcome in this novella, it was very human and believable, love takes work and there will always be bumps in your journey. (very few love stories are perfect everyday)

Home Sweet Home needs to come home with you! If you haven't snatched this up already this would make he perfect quick read this weekend! Go 1-click and Enjoy!

VERY GOOD: The characteristics of a 4 heart book include: a great story; I loved the characters; and there was an interesting plot and unique story elements; there may have been a few odd things kept the story from being amazing. I would read it again and I would recommend it to a friend.

Home Sweet Home sob* Scarlett Metal got a lot in this on. It had me tearing up from the dedication to Lance's song. But, the thing that struck me was how very well done it was. It was an emotional, sweet, and sexy read! *Makes a note to buy yoga pants* -- Read it for details about those :).

Oh god it scared me so much that Lance wouldn't be home when Sam needed him most!!! I thought she had lost the baby!! But it was a relief to read that she didn't!! So happy for their family!!

Home Sweet Home occurs four years after I Remember You where Sam and Lance are given a second chance at love. It took them about fourteen years – let me repeat that 14 YEARS to get to where they are now and life could not be anymore perfect.

In Home Sweet Home they have it all. Both are successful and passionate about their chosen careers. Samantha is a successful writer and Forbidden Gods (Lance’s band) is about to headline a major tour. They also have a picturesque family life – a comfortable home in the suburbs of Wisconsin, family and friends nearby and most especially the light of their life, Emma.

Samantha always manages to go on tour with them but because of her own tour schedule and another child on the way she isn’t able to do so this time around. The distance isn’t something that they are used to since they’ve reconciled but they vow to be strong and maintain good communication.

Not everything goes as they planned. The album that Lance is working on has its setbacks, he receives bad news from a loved one and an old flame also reintroduces herself back into the picture. The stress of it all comes down hard on Lance and he falls back on old vices. He just isn’t as strong as they both thought he could be and is about to risk it all.

*To fully understand this story I recommend reading I Remember You before reading this one. The first is a short novella that shouldn’t take you more than two hours to read. And it goes over the history of Lance and Samantha and what they had to endure to get to where they are now.*

I may have mentioned this before in another review but it is rare that I find good stories about the trials and tribulations that married couple face in their relationship. This is what I found most alluring about this story.

Home Sweet Home is about Samantha and Lance going through such challenge. Most couple have the issue of “falling out of love” but with them that isn’t the problem. If anything it seems to be the opposite. Distance is their issue.

Their relationship is so profound that they seem unable to fully function without each other. And I appreciated how the author was able to capture the intensity of these emotions in a novella. The only thing about this story was it just was a tad predictable ( the title gives it away!). With all that they have been through especially in I Remember You these two definitely deserved their HEA.

If you are looking for something emotionally charged yet short and sweet then I would recommend this series for you.

Home Sweet Home we catch up with Sam and Lance, it's four years later, and Sam and Lance are happily married and are expecting a second baby. Lance is about to go on a three-month tour; with his band Forbidden Gods and for the first time Sam and their 2year old daughter Emma will not be going.

It’s not as smooth as Lance and Sam would have hoped; life on the road is not easy. Lance finds it hard to cope without his family; problems start to arise for Lance on tour when he has issues with the band’s management, someone from his past returns and his own demons resurfaces it threatens to pull them apart. Sam is trying to cope without him and has to deal with the news that someone very close to them is suffering from serious health problems. I did feel for Lance and Sam, and I was rooting for them to get thought their struggles.

I enjoy the storyline I found it more emotional, and there was certainly more angst as Lance and Sam have to deal with being far away from each other. I did feel had the story had of been longer then some aspect of it could have been developed more. Like a few novellas that I have read before, it certainly had the potential to be a full-blown novel.

However I have decided that Scarlett Metal has become the girl I go to when I want to read something that is quick (read this one in about an hour) easy read that is going to have an enjoyable storyline with the right amount of drama, romance and is high on the sexy smut.

Overall I was not left frustrated at the end of this book. I loved reading about Lance and Sam relationship; they have such a great bond. There was no cliffhanger, just another sweet epilogue that finished the story off nicely and left me with a big grin on my face.

So as you can guess I would I recommend this book or any Scarlett Metal book if as I have said before if you have an hour to spare and you are looking for quick, cute romantic story that has plenty of hotness with no cliffhanger.

To begin, this story is the continuation of 'I Remember You'. Lance and Samantha have a long history together which you learn about in "I Remember You".

Finally, after reconnecting and getting married and having a baby and another on the way this is where 'Home Sweet Home' begins. Life is wonderful!!! Both of their careers are on fire and their marriage seems to be rock solid. Well, that is until Lance's band Forbidden Gods has to go on tour to promote their new album. Things will be different this time because Sam can't go on this 3 month tour. She has her career of writing and book signings and then also being 3 months pregnant is just too much. Both are hating the fact of being separated.......Spending the last few years by each others side and now learning to live apart......things go down hill from here. After the band leaves for tour, Lance has several obstacles he encounters and doesn't seem to be able to handle the stress. Being married and the responsibility of having a family is a constant reminder of how he needs to keep his SH*T together while touring.......after concert parties, promoter issues, ex girlfriend.....how does he deal with it? He does what he knows best.........drinking. And during the 3 months of touring, his drinking progresses trying to deal with all the stress never letting Sam know until an accident happens. Truth comes out about how Lance has turned to drinking.......Sam is so distraught that he has chosen drinking instead of turning to her and his family for support. Eventually, after working through his issues......we do get the Happily Ever After!!!

This book was an okay read for me. The story itself was really good, just seemed to get boring at times and no real connection. As for the writing, it was good but nothing just brought me to my knees, or any type of frustration, or feeling any deep emotions.........I really wanted to feel one of these and didn't. But with that said, this is just my opinion.....read this story, you may love it!

A great start to this story... continuing on from I Remember You everything is great in the lives of Lance and Samantha. They have a perfect life.... he's a rock star, she's a writer, and they have a baby girl and a new baby on the way.
Our couple have been happy together for the last four years, growing their family,
and basically living the dream.
I was happy reading, but niggling in the back of mind all the time was, "this is too good,
whats going to happen?" And then bang, there it was , and bang, again, suddenly it seemed like everything was going to custard.
I did feel sorry for our couple, both dealing with the same issues, but so far apart from each other, with Lance being on tour, without his family, for the first time.

For a bit, our loving couple go through a lot, and I started thinking, oh, no, how are they going to survive through all this?
A few tear jerker moments in there!!
But Scarlett did a great job of pulling it all together, so we got our HEA. A good four star read, but read I Remember You first!

When I started reading this book, I felt like I was missing an important piece of the puzzle. Then I realize there was a book prior to this one and I was indeed missing some information. However, after I started piecing things together, the story flowed for me.

Lance and Samantha, reunited and married four years ago, have a solid family life. They treasure the time they have together and with their 3 year old daughter. Lance's band is going on tour and for the first time, Samantha won't be going with Lance, due to pending deadlines and her pregnancy. Life on the road is a lot harder for Lance without his family and lifeline there with him and he soon's falls into old habits, which threatens to tear what he has with Samantha apart.

I think this story would have benefitted from being a bit longer. Just as the tension between Lance and Samantha started to build because they kept missing each other or couldn't talk as often as they wanted and Lance depending on alcohol, the story forced Lance home, Samantha to tell him he needed help, and they were HEA. I needed more of a breakdown, more angst, an addict fighting rehab and then the forced intervention for Lance to see he needed help and go in order to save himself and his family.

Home Sweet Home is the continuation of Lance and Sam's love story. In the previous book, I Remember You, the two soul mates are reunited after many years of being apart and trying to forget about each other. Their whirl wind romance brings us to this fast paced and sexy story! Lance is a rock star on tour while trying to be a husband and dad. Taking time on the road without his girls presents a struggle for Lance and he doesn't cope well with it. Turning to old habits, Lance creates some problems for himself. Thanks to a loyal friend and band mate, things don't get too out of control, however Lance is faced with some hard decisions.

I always enjoy reading Scarlett Metal's novellas. They are fast paced, steaming hot and great story lines. I read Home Sweet Home in one sitting and really connected with Lance and Sam. Lance is a great guy and really wants to do right by Sam. I felt bad for Sam and how much she had to contend with while Lance was off on tour. As most strong women, she did it with confidence and grace. I felt that the end was a tad rushed, but for me, I wanted more time with these two! I highly recommend this read if you are looking for a quick love story with hot sex and a great rock star!

LOVE <3 this series and LOVE <3 Sam and Lance!!! I promise this novella has everything you are looking, it's the WHOLE package!! Romance, angst and some serious SEXYNESS! I have am having a major book hangover right now because I love this couple so much and didn't want this story to end!!! I was beyond excited when I heard that Scarlett Metal had written a second novella to I Remember You. Home Sweet Home, another FAB read titled after one of my favourite 80′s hairband metal songs was everything I had hoped for and wanted, the only problem…. AGAIN, I wanted more!!! Home Sweet Home was just as sexy as I Remember You but I also found it more gut wrenching then I Remember You. I love how Scarlett Metal incorporates real life in her stories which, had me feeling even more of a connection to the characters this time around. BUT, what I loved the most about Home Sweet Home is the love connection I felt between the characters. Home Sweet Home is a sexy romantic love story . This novella is packed with just as much story as the first and again, you won’t believe that so much story came out of this little treasure.

This is a follow up book to I Remember You. In that book you fall in love with Lance, the lead guitarist. This book has us out on tour with Lance and all the issues he faces.

Sam is madly in love with Lance. She doesn't want him to go out on tour without her and their daughter, Emma. She can't go with him this time, because of doing tours to promote her books. While Lance is away she learns some bad news that she knows Lance isn't going to deal well with.

Lance doesn't like being away from his girls. He wants them on tour with him. He is excited to go home and spend his four day break with them. He is not expecting the bad news he gets that night. Lance decides to forget it for the night and have his wife. When he gets up and gets the bad news he has to leave right away he is pisses. Will Lance rely on Sam to help him? Or does he turn back into drinking?

This book is good. It will make you want to know what happens. I would definitely recommend you read this, if you read the first book.

We are back, a few years later from I Remember You, in the lives of Sam and Lance. Their little family is growing, Lance's band is on tour and Sam's writing career is taking off. Seems life is perfect and nothing can go wrong.

But as we all know life is unpredictable and we never know when something bad could happen.

Lance and Sam get thrown a few curve balls throughout this novella that test them and their relationship.

After reading I Remember You I fell in love the Sam and Lance's love story. In Home Sweet Home I loved seeing how their love has grown even more.

Some things I didn't like were because it is a novella conflicts are resolved really quickly. Also I felt it was choppy at time and needed smoother transitions between scenes.

Overall Home Sweet Home is a quick and easy read and a nice conclusion to Sam and Lance.

Scarlett Metal has amazingly given us life after I Remember You in this steamy novella, HOME SWEET HOME! This is a great 4 star read!

Lance is still the yummy, sexy established rock star. Only now he is happily married to Sam and they are expecting their second child.

Sam is busy juggling her current pregnancy, two year old daughter and a budding writing career all while Lance is off living the life of a rock star. I love the strength Sam posses and her ability to keep all those she loves close to her heart.

Life appears to be perfect as Lance embarks on his three month tour, with the one exception, he had to leave Sam and Emma at home this trip. Half way through the tour Lance is hit with life altering news and we see him slip into old copping mechanism habits. Can their marriage survive the little white lies they are each forced to hide?

Home Sweet Home can be read as a stand alone but I would recommend you start with Lance and Sam's story in I Remember You!

Sam and Lance are struggling with their time appear because of his tour and Sam's book tour, she's expecting their second child and things are chaotic for them!

I love the way every problem they encounter have a logical and real solution making this book and his hot scenes worth the time reading it!

Of you read I remember You, you definitely have to read Home sweet Home to see how this wonderful couple take the problems live throw their way like a bull by the horns!!!

Scarlett Metal another work well done I can't put it down once I start reading!! Only to sleep and to work!!!!

Heartwarming and full of love!

This is a little novella which tells us the story of what happened next with Samantha and Lance from the I Remember You series.

It tells us how Samantha and Lance cope with being apart, having kids and fighting health issues. They have amazing sexual chemistry together and it is good to read a story about a rock star who is grounded.

I haven't read the first book but that didn't stop me from enjoying this novella as Scarlett Metal explained the very basics of that story during this one.

I liked this story and it definitely made me want to read the first book. This is a heartwarming story which is ideal to read curled up on the couch with a coffee.

I would give this book 4 stars as it was very enjoyable and an easy read.

This is the 2nd book in this series and I have to say that I liked this book much better than the first one. That is not to take anything anyway from the first one because I did like it it’s just that the author really hit on Home Sweet Home.

Lance & Sam was a "feel good" couple. And who cannot love a guy that thinks so much of his mom and his family! The love scenes were pretty hot between Lance & Sam also.

This series is worth the read. I think that these shorter books are not what I have been used to reading as of late and that is why the fewer stars for both of these books. There were so many places these books could have gone because this author did a great job of getting you in to her characters.

The continuation of Sam and Lance's story was amazing. There were ups and downs, but in the end they got it all figured out and live HEA. I felt Sam's emotions when she was struggling to understand why her husband wasn't going to her when she thought he needed to. And I felt Lance's emotions when he was struggling with the changes of the songs he thought was perfect, the executives being so difficult, and a pregnant wife at home with a young daughter. It was definitely a ride on an emotional roller coaster I was very glad I took. Scarlett Metal is a wonderful writer and I can't wait to read her next book!! A must read!!

The story of Lance and Samantha hooked me in the first book (I Remember You) that I picked up for free at Amazon. That is why I could not resist and had to know how the couple's story continued.
I enjoyed the read and I loved the couple and the love story of them.
Quick and enjoyable read.

Home Sweet Home is the second book to I Remember You by Scarlett. Though if you remember I Remember You ended perfectly this book takes it further int to the home of Samantha and Lance and how when you are married to a Rock Star life is not always what it's cracked up to be. Samantha is an author who is about to do a book tour while rock star husband Lance leaves to go on tour. Follow their story of what happens in their marriage, family, and in the band. Lance and Samantha are the couple that everyone wants to be at some point in their lives. Being away from each other for 10 years finding love again and then making that love grow.

Love Lance and Samantha!!!

Lance and Sam are living the life they always wanted. They happily married, have a child, and she is pregnant. Between her caring for their family and him going on tour with his band, the long distance is trying to separate them.

His past relationships and his own demons resurface. Then, when a family issue is brought into the mix, their lives get even more stressful.

I think is the perfect sequel of their story and I was pulling for them to stand strong and get through the struggles. You have to add this to your TBR list NOW!!!

Why are theses books so sort has soon has I got drawn into home sweet home it was ending I loved lance and Sam story the story flowed so easily from I remember you and I got drawn in straight away , gave it a 4 star but I would recommend any one who want to read home sweet home. To read I remember you first then go straight on to the next book to give it the leanth of a decently sized book

Great continuation

It was a really good story. After reading the first one I had to continue reading Samantha and Lance's story. Lance goes on the road without Samantha and his daughter. He finds it difficult to be without them and the problems start to add up leading him to drinking. Will he let the drinking take over his life or find a way back to his family.
