An ok read for a lax day if you don't mind some grammatical errors, repetitive sex scenes, predictable plot lines where most are unresolved and forgettable characters. In my opinion this is what Driven by Desire provides. Additionally, some of the dialogue bothered me. When Tanya is introduced to Marcus's brother Trent, her thought is

She looked from one to other in confusion. Sure they were both fine as all get out, but except for that, they were like night and day. Marcus flawless pecan complexion contrasted with Trent's dark olive skin tone. "You two look nothing alike."

I thought the description of the men was lacking and the statement ignorant. Surely the author is aware siblings can have different complexions. I and my siblings are a prime example. Our complexions range from fair, warm caramel, rich mocha, to the beautiful silkiness of a black plum, and yes we ALL have the same parents. Although Marcus and Trent were not "blood" related, I still found the statement to be offensive as not all “blood related” siblings look alike or have the same complexion.

More so, it was a letdown to have the epilogue start at 84% just to end at 87%. The remaining of the book is a first chapter preview for book 2, Taken by Temptation which seems to focus more on Trent and Zaira (Tanya’s best friend). Ultimately, Driven by Desire did not drive me to desire anything about this book or its characters.

This book has a sweet romance and plenty of steamy scenes to get you hot and bothered. A chance meeting in Ocho Rios, Jamaica that Tanya only intended to be a one-night-stand quickly turns into more when she runs into Marcus the following day at the wedding that brought her to Jamaica, only to find out that he recently moved to the Atlanta, GA, where she lives. Tanya had been recently burned by her ex, Justin, who seemed more concerned with acquiring wealth and climbing the corporate ladder than with loving her. When she finds out that Marcus is not only a successful businessman, but the CEO of the company her ex used to work for, she wants nothing to do with him. Marcus comes across as a bad boy at first glance and Tanya expects him to be nothing more than a player. Much to her surprise, Marcus is not that man at all. He saw something in her in Ocho Rios that struck a chord with him and he's now in it for the long haul. It's interesting to learn more about Marcus and how it is possible for him to not only be CEO of an incredibly successful company, but a member of the Rough Riders MC. I really enjoyed the way Ambrielle Kirk handled this juxtaposition in Marcus. Despite these seemingly conflicting lifestyles, we quickly find that Marcus is simply Marcus (not bad boy biker Marcus and straight-laced business Marcus separately). This book is a relatively quick read filled with plenty of steamy sex scenes, but not so many that they overpower the book. This book is still very much about their romance, not simply sex. The book absolutely has a HEA ending and no cliffhanger. I can't wait to read Taken by Temptation and Seduced by Sin, the next two books in the series!

Spoiler Ahead This was a short quick read that was nothing like I thought it would be. I thought this book was about a motorcycle club but no. Tanya Carter goes to Jamaica to attend a wedding she is alone because her boyfriend dump her to move to New York. While in a store buying a dress while in the store she meets a hot guy Marcus. While out at a club she runs into him again and sparks fly. This was my first time reading this author this book had a few errors in it. I am looking forward to reading more of this author's work.

Sadly I was really disappointed with the book and only rated it two stars.

It started right at the beginning, when I couldn't feel a connection with Tanya, the main character, and continued when she met Marcus.
Their first meeting felt incredibly wired to me. I don't know why, but somehow I got the feeling that they had trouble communicating, as if one of them hardly knew the others language, but as it turned out they're both american, so that wasn't the case.

While their communication got better I wasn't able to feel any kind of connection with Tanya and Marcus wasn't much better. His character was written very superficially and I didn't feel like I knew anything about him.
Of course we were given facts about him, very interesting facts to be honest. A CEO and member of a Biker Club? Hell yeah. But neither aspect of his personality was explored.

Their relationship didn't do much for me either. There was a lot of Insta-Love on his part, which I didn't like and the way Tanya reacted in some situations didn't resonate with me.

The plot left much to be desired as well. It was kinda all over the place and a lot of things happened / were mentioned, but not really explored.
The story didn't grip me at all and the sex-scenes didn't do much for me either.

All in all it was a quick, easy read, but nothing interesting or exciting in any way.

This was a very short read but enjoyable nonetheless. I wanted something to keep my attention and this surely did. Tanya and Marcus def had enough chemistry to keep readers occupied. My only issue is the ending was very ubrupt and not an epilogue at all. This plot had a beginning and middle but no end. The author created drama with Tanya's ex but never followed through on resolving it. And if the next book is about another character, how will we get a conclusion for this book? It would have gotten more stars if the plot actually had some type of end, hell I would have taken a cliffhanger or some transition into another book, but it didn't even have that.

His Effort To Make Her His Forever -
Tanya was just looking to let loose with Marcus whilst they were attending a destination wedding, but what she didn’t count on was Marcus convincing her to embark on a relationship with him. Unfortunately, just as Tanya made up her mind to try, both of their ex-partners decided to create friction in their lives. However, taking a step back from each other, helped them realise they were meant for each other. The chemistry between Tanya and Marcus was intense, and their sexual tension can be felt with each page turn. It was an awesome stir6 to read, so I suggest you grab a copy and start enjoying it.

It is a great book. I loved it starting out in Jamaica. Marcus and Tanya's backgrounds really shaped their lives. I loved the Rugged Riders with the motorcycle club. The way it was treated as a business instead of a gang was a great twist in the story. I loved all the action in the story. It kept you interested to find out what would happen next.

Tanya Carter was attending a destination wedding in Jamaica for her friend this weekend she was in a shop buying a dress for the wedding when she was stopped by a handsome guy when he spoke sent a sexual chill up her spine he ask her to help him pick out a tie she helped him and let him know she was not a sales girl she also saw him again at the club that night she decided to get loose that night since she was suppose to come with her boyfriend who happen to dump her and moved to New York to become a stockbroker she was hurt and wanted to have a little fun because she would never see the guy she got with again the bartender was making eyes at her and he gave her a free drink but she was about to leave when she ran in to the guy from the clothing shop and he was looking really hot his name was Marcus they talked for a while and just so happens that his hotel was across the street from hers the next morning she was at the wedding early since her boyfriend wasn't there she had an extra seat at her table just so happens that Marcus decided that he wanted to sit at her table with her he had come with his friend they were friends of the groom and he stayed through the whole wedding and after they spent time together and he stayed in Jamaica as long as she did he missed his flight back in Atlanta they got together spent a lot of time together she still had issues about honesty and then things start to happen that puts distance between them and she over reacts and has to realize that everyone has had a life before.

Not bad book...Tanya was too wish washy for me...one minute she was okay with everything, the next not..I liked Marcus though.this is my first time reading this author.

It was a great story, well written and very entertaining. I like the characters and the fact that they were like real people you could actually meet any day of the week. Tanya sounds a lot like the women I know, sure of herself but not sure of how others feel about her. Marcus is a real man's man, he could be every female reader's crush. I like that they met outside of the work environment but that it still had an impact on them. I wish there were a few more details like what did Marcus do about Justin, and how their relationship progressed from there. The ending did feel a little abrupt but I'm hoping we get to see a little more of their story in the following books of the series. I couldn't wait so I bought the next installment immediately. This was the first time I have read anything from this author, but I must say that it won't be the last even after the series.

This was a quick and easy read with a lot of potential, but it missed the mark in my opinion. This was not a Biker's Club Romance, which is what I thought it was supposed to be, but perhaps I was mistaken. It was just a regular romance with a few things thrown in about the Biker's Club.....nothing more. That part of Marcus's lifestyle was never really explored. Marcus was cool, but I did not like Tanya very much because she was very indecisive and she was EXTRA. Either you want to be with the man or you don't......dang....get your life!!! Her behavior at the BBQ was silly. Anyway, I am not sue if I'll read Book 2.

I initially thought, from the blurb, this was a MC romance but sadly it was a straight forward romance with some biker club things thrown in.

I liked Marcus: he wanted Tanya and was determined yet persistent to make it happen. I didn't like Tanya: her indecisiveness and hot/cold behaviour was frustrating. She completely overreacted in the park - she made more of a scene with her immature behaviour than Becca did opening her mouth.

Sadly, this one wasn't for me. The characters didn't draw me in and neither did the story.

Marcus-CEO, Also part of a motorcycle club - Rough Riders MC. He is Hot and Sexy. He knows what he wanted and he goes after her.
They first meet at a store in Jamaica - she was buying a dress , he wanted help in picking out a tie.
The next day they meet again at the wedding.

They had chemistry,had great sex.
Marcus wanted her and only her.
Trent is one of the brothers in the motorcycle club.
Zaira is Tanyas friend.

Marcus helps Tanya sort things out.

This is an HEA.

Talk about sexiness personified, that's what Marcus is in this novel. When I first looked at the cover of this book, I thought this novel was going to be the usual man meets woman, man gets woman type of book. Boy, I was truly wrong. Even though that did happen it was truly a ride I enjoyed being on. That Marcus was hot. The story was well developed. The romance was sensual, sexy, and hot. Great job Ms. Kirk. I am really looking forward to the next book in this series.

It was okay. I didn't care much for Marcus at first but he grew on me fast. When he first met Tanya I thought he was pushy. There is a fine line with aggression being a turn off and he was almost there with me at the beginning.

There is a lot of sex in this short story, a lot. It is one of those story where sex come first then they relationships builds after a lot of sex. So of course there are issues because not much is discussed.

I skimmed to the end. The author is too formal with her writing style for my taste. While she does a thorough job of describing the sex scenes, it just seems a little like she's using a thesaurus to mix up the descriptions. I also found the story cookie cutter with too much drama and immaturity on Tanya's part. I was expecting a biker story. Instead, I got a wealthy CEO in a biker club.
