Silver Lake is a quiet rural community where nothing ever seems to change. That is, before the bizarre murders begin to occur in and around the town, terrifying the citizens. All the citizens except, strangely, some of the young children, who are not only comfortable with the inexplicable deaths, but are also fascinated by them. As an alien horror consumes the town, the generation gap widens to supernatural proportions.

I'm a small-town North Carolina author who writes at the nebulous place where horror, sci-fi, and fantasy converge. I currently live with my two cats, Joon and Wednesday. I am fond of B-rated horror movies, outdated music, weird science, and getting lost in other worlds.

My first short story, "Anew," is a creepy tale of insidious goop, published in summer of 2012. My debut novel, Nightfall, was published by Prospective Press in 2016. The sequel, Blood Magik, is out now!

I want to start off by saying I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This was a short story and it was great... a little scary as people were dying by basically being eaten from the bone - all that was left of them were bones - creepy right? Since it was so short I didn't really get to become entirely invested in the characters, but I did like Henry and Karly - I thought they were cute and do want to find out what they will do next.

I can't wait to read more from this author. I do recommend reading this short story to those who like supernatural books.
