Mrs. Chatterley's Lovers
How long can a woman be expected to go without sex? Constance Chatterley no longer wants to find out.
For ten long years, Constance has remained a loyal and devoted wife to her politician husband Clifford despite his scorn for her job, her colleagues, her politics. . . and her body. But now, at 42, Constance can’t shake her sadness and frustration. She’s come to believe that despite her best efforts, nothing will change. On a whim, Constance makes a list of her sexual fantasies, not that she has any idea of fulfilling them; or does she? Soon after, Constance finds herself in a series of secret encounters that leave her breathless. But is her tiny New Hampshire town too small for Constance’s newly rekindled passion to go unnoticed? Set in the stunning New England countryside –a land of quaint villages, white-steepled churches and winding country roads– Mrs. Chatterley’s Lovers is a book that once picked up, cannot be put down. A must-read for all fans of erotic romances.

I read the book because I watched the new Netflix movie. The book was ok but I enjoyed the movie more. It's worth going to the Wikipedia page and reading on the history of the book - it's fascinating how it was banned for so long.

The book is a modern love story written in the background of medival times. The story is about a woman who is alive with thoughts and beauty, who is opinionated, personal and s0 alive. Her situation and circumstance makes her life dull, meaningless and unappreciated, being wife of an self-indulgent self-satisfied invalid man of wealth and position who also poses to be a famous writer. But she stumbles into life of love quite accidentally with a man who is as much pathetic as her but with similar yarnings of true sympathy and tenderness, and she lives by it. I love the story. In between it gets a little musty and feels like the authour is only rattling on, but in the end like suspence the story unfolds unexpectedly but beautifully, and the last few chapters amaze me. There are things I wish were talked upon more from philosophy point of view but that's that.
P.S. I have read reviews about this book which says that the book is about a woman who needs to have sex and her husband does not let her and in there terms, I think it is a very 'closed minded man's' 'review and view' on the entire novel. The novel is a story about a woman who lost her prime of life in duty and being neglected in doing her duty, later she is tired and wants more, looks for more, she gets intimacy in the form of sex with a man whom she thought she liked but she realized how horrible he is to father a child with and her romance ends with him. She then stumbles upon sex with a man whom she enjoys both as an alighted individual and as a lover and it is about it.

A fun take on an old classic
“Danielle H. Lawrence” (very clever pseudonym) has recreated the DH Lawrence classic, Lady Chatterly’s Lover, with a modern twist. Although lacking in the original’s writer’s flare, the new twist involved multiple lovers and included a typical narcissistic politician husband. It made for a fun light sexy read which I recommend for just that.

“But the truth will out.”
A woman's story of struggle...struggle to be loved again. And to be really free. This story raises question that what is most important, what is most fulfilling? Running around, chasing few cheap fantasies or live for the love?
