A simple little sentimental book that by itself is not a 5 star book but because my daughter gave it to me as a birthday present with handwritten notations throughout, she transformed it into something special. I suspect the author of the book would like it that way (or at least I would).

This is a great book for all dads and daughters. I think I found this more touching than my husband did, but I bought this for my 3 year old daughter to give to him. I teared up reading through it and thinking of them . Everything in it speaks from all ages. From becoming a dad for the first time to dads with grown daughters. Loved everything it contained !Great great book. My husband has such a great bond with our adopted daughter and this was the perfect book for them.

It was hard to say exactly where in the book I was which was I put myself at 1 to start with (I often try to get a little into the book before I say I’m reading it as I’ll be more likely to finish it) because I didn’t actually know where I was but this is exactly what it suggests to be put photographs of a father and daughter with small sentences telling one what a father is for … depressing that I got this from a thrift store yes? There is a place to write who it’s from and who’s it going to which is blank though so maybe it was bought with the idea of simple reading? I feel like handing this to my dad now while I’m still very much not far is a weird gesture plus I think this might be a father to daughter gift(?) either way is it meant to be something you read front to back? Probably no just something you put up and show to your friends to get the feels when you’re older and remembering when you got the book. It’s sentimental.

I purchased one as a father to daughter book as a means to express my feelings to her on Fathers Day. I purchased another as a Fathers Day gift to my son in law as advice for raising my granddaughter. A loving book in so many ways with charming and warm illustrations.

This is a beautiful 131 page book on the importance of dads to daughters. I highly recommend to men to read this book so you can be a better dad. I highly recommend to females to read so they can have a "map" of the type of man to marry: one who will be a positive role model for any children born.

I'm going to let my dad pick out a quote from this book for my tattoo for him and going through it to pick some options many of them made me tear up.
It is very heterotypical and sexist but aside from those there are many meaningful reasons in this book.

Cute for what it is. My mum got it for my dad when I was born so it’s pretty sentimental. I got to read the original, busted up copy my dad was given.

A collection of sentimental one liners to remind Dads of the amazing role they play in their daughter's life. I usually hate these photo/inspiration gift books -- but I'll make an exception for this one. I often need the reminder. Joanna got it out of the mailbox and immediately read it to me cover to cover :)

Ditto to the other reviewer. My daughter gave me this book with notes and underlined passages. It doesn't get any better.
