Kara Q'ana Tal has been promised in marriage to Cam K'al Ra since she was a few months old. Determined to experience freedom rather than marriage, Kara flees from Cam and seeks refuge within the matriarchal planet of Galis.
With the blessing of Kara's father, the emperor, Cam sets out to track his wayward bride down, determined to claim her for all time.
Book 4: No Escape, tells us the story of Zor & Kyra's daughter from Book 1.

I like Kara and Cam's story. I think after Rem and Giselle this is my favorite storyline. I still don't like the fact that there are multiple stories. And of course the cliffhanger of Kari & Death, Dari & Gio, Jana & her alien.
Story: GOOD Intimacy Level: VERY SPICY Enjoyment: GOOD
I read this book in 2008, and wanted to leave a quick review, as it is one of my favorite series by the author. I can remember reading about Kara and Cam's connection from the other books in the series. And when I finally got to read it, it was worth the wait for me. I love Kara's rebel side and not wanting to do as she was told because she was Cam's life mate. That intensity is what made this a likable read.
Kara has know Cam was her Scared Mate since she was a child. She feels deprived of her freedom and more. So to aviod being given to Cam when she turns 25 she escapes off world with her cousin Jana. Since the title of the book is No Escape it doesn't take a genius to figure out Kara can't escape her fate and her Scared Mate. However what a very eventful book this was, so much going on.
Kara Summers now Kari Gy'la Li (Empress Kyra sister) is unaware that Kara is her niece and her sister is alive. However Jana and Kara have been living on the Planet Gelis for the past 5 years. Learning to bag and tag males as well as erotic arts. Kari is very skilled at this as we learned from Giselles book and this one as well when she has a week fling with Lord Death.
Dani flees Gio and meets up with her cousin and sister but flees again with Kari when Cam found Kara and Jana dissappeared.
So in a nut shell plenty of sex, orgasms, male and female dominated planets, action, erotic arts, exibitionist, hedonist, voyoristic and more.
Honestly I just jumped into the next book so this is a basic facts review, sorry. Plenty of story arcs are continued as we jump between places and POV so beware of getting a little mixed up in the action.
Very good in the continuation of the Trek series. Not required but I recommend reading them in order.
This story has several stories in process, to be continued in the next book. The primary story is about Kara fleeing from Cam because she wanted some independent time before she married. He initially thought she was dead, but as soon as he heard she was alive, five years later, he was able to hunt her and find her. Separate stories begin about Dari fleeing her future husband while learning about and how to stop the evil one. Jana mates with Yorin who takes her to his ice planet. Kari continues to flee from Death and helps Dari.
Data: Sexual language: erotic. Number of sex scenes: thirteen plus. Setting: 6044 and 6049 Yessat Years Galis, Khan-Gor and other planets. Copyright: 2001. Genre: erotic paranormal science fiction romance.
This story is also published in the anthology Conquest (Trek Mi Q’an #4 & #5).
2.5. stars So this is the book of Cam and the daughter of Emperor, Kara. I don't what i was waiting for Kara after five years of freedom but not what the story told us. I thought she would stand on, more after her training as warrior, but she just gives up, she surrender without a fight ... I was waiting the scene of the meeting and i was a bit disappointed.
At the side stories, I was happy to meet again with Kari (Empress Kyra sister) and i cannot wait to read her story with Lord Death in the next books. (I like Lord Death character from the first book when he was drinking moonshine with the Empress in the underground bar).
Jana was kidnapped and is in the planet Khan-Gor and she is trying to find a way to escape from Yoren... without cloths.
The last interesting side story is about Dani who had flee from the palace of her future husband... to stop the evil!!! And now she heading with Kari to Khan-Gor to find the evil one.
To be honest, I kinda feel weird about this one since I knew Cam from the first book. I just can't sort out my feelings about the incident of Cam and the Empress, and now here, Cam and the daughter. But will I continue to read the series? I know I should stop but I don't know why I like to read more of these hahaaha.
My review is not for intelligent discussion. It's what I felt/thought while reading the book. For 2021, I would rate the book this way: 1 - DNF'ed 2 - does not exist 3 - did not like 4 - it was okay 5 - I like it / I enjoy reading it (but it doesn't mean I recommend it)
This series has my heart because of the freedom of the trystonni culture, but the heroine of this book, Kara, flees from her pampered life because of what she felt she would lose. Yes, having the freedom to experience who you are without your significant other is important, but there is a limit to what should be an acceptable sacrifice for that freedom. Still love the 7th galaxy, not so much princess Kara.
It was a very ingenious and heartbreaking way the young princesses ploted their escape! But they were successful and learned a good deal it seems in their time away. Years pass very quickly in this book which is good as it touches on one main couples and a half story for another! Not sure how I feel about Jana's story (or Kara's punishment) but we'll see. VERY interested in Dari storyline and how Bazi fits in. Death needs to speak up already!!
Three cousins determine to get their freedom instead of marrying their selected mates. One is shunted off to her mate's planet by her family and the other two head for Galis, a matriarchal planet. Their families are told the ship disintegrated upon entering its atmosphere. This book tells of their futures in alternating chapters, along with a couple other women on Galis. Only 1 gets a conclusion in this book. The other 2 plus the extra women are to-be-continued. Frustrating.
The story of Cam and Kara was another good one. I liked that Kara wanted her freedom and became some kind of kickass warrior. Again there were more side-stories and more world-building here.
Now the “real story” begin unravel. The book setting’s is 5 years after the last book. It is quite a change of atmosphere as the setting mainly not in the Planet Tryston, but in its mirror image planet : Galis, where women ruled, instead of men. It’s quite funny to read a husband hunting and also how Galis women entertain guests.
Once again, I feel the author didn’t give the series an opportunity to be a deeper story. The book told 2 different set of hero and heroine, and in 107 pages, it is not enough. The plot somewhat lacking emotion and seemed so easy. How come the hero can easily forgive his mate betrayal after a few (well, a lot) of sex? And then the heroine is just that easy to forget her dream of choosing her own destiny.
But overall, I still want to read the next book just for the sake knowing the rest of the story.
Kara and Jana have escaped and been gone, with the help of Kari (actually Kara, Kyra's long lost sister). They have accepted life on Gelis even though it is completely opposite of their home and the men are emotional and captured to become husbands. While out hunting Kara is finally captured by Cam who was thrilled to hear a rumor that she was alive. They are trying to work things out, obviously trust isnt there since she took off 5 years earlier. Jana gets enthralled and captured by some odd apparently different specied man. Dari is finally on her way away from Gio. And the brothers, uncles and fathers are all on their ways to find all their girls now that they realize they are alive or have taken off.
There is more of a plot in this installment. Kara, Dari, and Jana flee from their home planet for a taste of freedom they cannot hope to experience if they honor their betrothal arrangements.
The characters are better developed and there is more intrigue, but there is too much going on for such a short book. I was waiting for Cam and Kara's story. Although their tale was well written, it would have been better had they not had to share their billing with so many other characters.
Dari and Gio? Jana and Yorin? Did I skip a book? It was hard to care about them without more background.
I'm getting a bit burned out on this series now, but I really want to read Death's story. Hopefully, it's coming soon.
I have not written a review of the other books in the series, however, I felt the need to write one for this one. This book is Cam and Kara's story, however, it was all over the place. I have enjoyed Cam since the first book and would have like for him to have had a fairly decent story. Unfortunately, there are so many story lines going on that when you finally get some alone time with Cam and Kara, it just seems rushed and I felt cheated. I did like how you feel the author is getting ready to give us some exciting action with the next books (the evil one is coming), however, I still would have appreciated poor Cam getting a better book. I would not loan this book unless you are a fan of the series or into some serious erotica (nipple bunching and tight channels galore still!!) TTFN-Sandy
Overall: This story was loaded with a bit more information about "The Evil One" and the bad feelings Ari had in the last book. So again love story wise i feel a little jipped. Kara and Jana get away and become these fierce hunters in their own right, just to get captured so easily. Action wise, it was fun to see the woman's side of the hunter and to see Kara fight with her emotions because Galis reminds her so much of home. I was hoping that once Cam found where she was , that there was a big chase scene and then he finally captures her. Kara character for me just kind of gives up. But Jana story has me REALLY intrigued and i can't wait to see where that goes
This is truly one of my favorite books. Its not like the first nooks which were graphic. This one was more on the girls and their plight to a very chauvinistic world they live in. I was laughing at Jek and the others for what they have done to drive their daughters away! Dari, Kari, Jana and Kara were really my favorite characters. I love the old ones too but these new crop of heroines were very much loved because you knew what happened to them because of the progression of books. I can't wait for the NO WAY OUT ARCS. Jaid Black is truly the QUEEN OF STEAM! A wonderful writer who can kick ass and love her for it! YOU RULE, JAID! Cheers from the Philippines!
Another great story in the Trek Mi Q'an series. Kara and Cam have known they were Sacred Mates since Kara was a baby. Kara knows her only chance at freedom is to fake her death and escape so that is just what she and her cousin Jana do. They spend the next 5 years on Galis which is pretty much the opposite of Tryston. There they "bag and tag" males to sell as husbands and they learn the erotic arts. Obviously Cam finds Kara because what would be the point if he didn't? That is when the sex really picks up in the story. There are some really interesting side story lines going on with Jana, Dari, and Kari that I look forward to reading more of.
This book had a little variety. 3 cousins want to escape what they feel is a constrained life with two of the them already having their Sacred Mates already chosen, although it's through their goddess that they're chosen, but whatever. They leave, but the 3rd cousin doesn't make it. Two fake their deaths and bring a lot of heartbreak to not only their family but one to her Sacred Mates. 5 years later they're found out. I don't feel there was a enough remorse with the girls, but beyond that it was a pretty good book.
Kara, Jana and Dari organize an escape to start their life of independence. Kari provides a helping hand. Adventures abound, Sacred Mates pursue, and the Evil One creates problems in the lives of more characters. Lots of humourous incidents that I'll not soon forget - the bagging and tagging hunting episode, and the description of a room full of warriors being entertained in the traditional Galian manner had me laughing out loud. This series is so engaging and this book is as entertaining as the previous ones albeit a tiny bit darker. Looking forward to the next one.
This is the story of Kara, Jana and Dari. And its interesting enough to read at one setting.
My comment is that I'm bummed that Kara easily capitulated to Cam (well, what can you do when you can't move in a forest?). The new species that is described that has taken Jana is interesting. And when Death finally sees Kari and says she is his mate, I swoon.hehe.
Anyway, only Kara has a happy ending here, because I don't know what will happen to Jana in the planet Khan-Gor? Gonna read the other books to see where this is heading.
This saga of an alien world with their steaming hot warriors continues. Their world and life is being threatened by an evil. As each book is primarily about one warrior and his quest to claim his forever mate, each also incorporates more than one subplot involving other warriors and characters. This fourth installment is the tamest that I've yet read. However, it keeps your interest by deepening the plot. I am still highly addicted to the series, but impatient to be on to the next book. I've not said it before, but definitely advise reading these in order as each book plays off the last.
More zany futuristic erotic fun from Ellora's Cave goddess Jaid Black. This one continues the story of Kara and Cam, and also brings into play a number of different characters, including Lord Death and Kari, a crazy silver-eyed dude and Jana, and a slew of other manis, panis, te'kas and other sundry peoples. The series is getting better and better for me. I'm really enjoying this author's sense of humor.
this book...actually this whole series go against everything I believe about relationship! i thought its interesting at the first few books, but this one is terrible. there r a whole lot of harmful relationship! domestic violence, mentally abuse! sexism! sexually generalize. I can go on and on forever about things im against in this book.
Oh my! I am glad there is at least one happy ending in this book. I am still disturbed by one pairing and can't wait to have the story line elaborated on. Kyra has found out about Kara and I am super happy about that one! Can not wait to start up the next book for more!!!
Yah, this one went out to left field a bit. Still had the continuous orgasms (jealous), 4 inch long nipples, but there were to many story lines. Got very confusing, especially since alot of their names are similar.
Cam and Kara's story seem like quiet background story while all the other threads about Gio and Dari, Yoren and Jana and Death and Kari. While only Cam and Kara's have a final resolution in this story this book seemed more about the others impending stories.
