The Obsession

Rate this book
Neil Macalister, a conservative and oh-so-proper lecturer of mathematics at the University of Edinburgh, thought he was happy with his sensible, ordinary life. But from the moment he laid eyes on Valentina Jason-Elliot, a sexually liberated woman ten years his junior, he became obsessed with having her.

Neil quickly discovers there aren't any lengths he won't go to in order to capture the object of his desire, for he's determined to have Valentina bound to him...in the heart and in the flesh.

I love this story Neil was such a sweet guy his shyness makes you fall in love with his character and the things they did HOT! so for me it was a good read. Please note this is a short book and I know the authors have to make their money on the electrical books but come on seven bucks for a really short story robbery Amazon needs to work out a better deal and or contract with these authors we want to enjoy the books not feel rob reading a short story and paying the price of a long novel.I got the kindle to cut down on cost not actually to pay more I know i went off topic of the book

Short story.

Neil is a mathematics professor who is settling at the age of 40 for a woman who is sensible. That is until he meets Valentina who is in Scotland to promote her writing. He overhears where she's going for a short vacation before the fair and thus begins a really hot encounter between the two of them. Loved that these two people weren't all 100% sure of themselves. Really enjoyed the story. Hate the cover!

Re-read in August 2016.

Can't believe I first read this over 5 years ago! An enjoyable read--Neil is an adorable nerd and definitely not "boring" while Valentina (nice name) is not annoying for a female lead. They are indeed well matched.

The title isn't an apt one, though.

Cute love story! The hero acted like a jerk sometime but I still liked him and enjoyed the story!

One of my faves by Jaid Black. The cover is misleading- the heroine of the story is not a barbie doll with plastic surgery gone wrong.
