Bi-continental, Stella and Audra break all misconceptions about siblings. Writing as a team they have produced well over eighteen novels as well as several novella's and short stories. And nary an argument has come from it.
On their off time from writing, Audra is a makeup artist and Stella is a graphic artist and web designer, as well as the convention director for the Authors After Dark convention. They both love animals and have several including several snakes and a peacock.
Audra lives in Scotland with her husband and children, while Stella Lives in South Carolina with her dogs Moo and Poe and her husband.
Lexington Cooper meets Dezi North at the scene of one of his conquests. After determining his innocence Lexi is drawn to him against her better nature. When another woman is found dead Dezi knows he must tell Lexi everything, but he knows she will be resistant to the fantastical nature of his story. As a cop, Lexi is used to horrible things, but she isn't prepared for the world she is sucked into. However, Dezi is compelling and his story makes a certain crazy sort of sense.
If you're looking for an action-packed story with Gods, Demi-Gods and Demons, this is the book for you!
Actual rating: 2.5. Thankfully, there were only a handful of grammatical errors in this book, unlike the first book with several mistakes per page.
I liked that this book developed the plot line more, added more detail. The story wasn't 100% focused on the two lovers coming together, which kept things more interesting.
Unfortunately, I still wasn't a huge fan of the dialogue. The characters still seem a bit immature and cheesy when they speak.
Overall, this book wasn't as difficult to get through as the first one, but I won't be reading anything else by S.A. Price.
Fascinating Series! This is the second book of the Inferi Dii Series. The story begins where the first book ends. I like Dezi and Lexi's story. They are great together and their chemistry is strong and hot. Dezi is handsome and protective. Lexi is strong, wise and intelligent. Like the first book, this book is fast-paced, action-packed, intriguing, entertaining, funny, powerful and hot. I love to see the other characters from the first book. All the other characters are really interesting. In fact, there are so many characters in this Series, I wonder how the author and the narrator can keep track of all of them!. The story is so well written and got more complexity and more suspense with each book. The narration was really great. I can't wait for the next book in the Series. I hope it will be available on audiobook soon! The narration is really perfect with all the characters and the voices are easy to distinct. Steven Barnett is a really good narrator! I received this free copy audiobook comment at my request and I voluntarily left this review.
Please make sure to read book 1 so you understand who all the characters are.
I loved Dezi and Lex! I didn't want to out this book down and love the Inferni Dii world. The plot was even better in this than the first one and I can't wait to start book 3.
I love the expansive pantheon and mythology of the Inferi Dii series. I find the authors’ idea of an assembled team of dark gods tasked with saving humanity to be interesting, entertaining, and just downright cool. The worldbuilding is very good, soundly mixing modern day society with the mythological (and paranormal) elements. I find that I am extremely interested and emotionally invested in the overarching plot. (No details here in order to avoid spoilers.) I will say that thoroughly enjoy that this installment reveals that there are heroes, villains, and some characters that are in between. Their backstories are turning out to be so important in forming their perspectives and guiding their actions. I love how that makes for a deeper read as the series progresses.
I do not recommend reading this book as a standalone. Book one of the series (Something Darker) sets up the large cast of characters. Do yourself a favor and start there.
The reason I gave it 4-stars: Dialog in SA Price books continues to be something of an issue for me. It’s not that I don’t get the pop culture references or slang terms. I do (and I find many of those quite funny). The problem for me is that, overall, conversations between characters often feel clunky or stilted. At times, many characters seem to have the same speech cadences and conversational tics.
Despite these complaints, the world of the Inferi Dii is just so interesting that I am very much looking forward to every one of the future stories of each god and his Keeper, along with the advancement of the overall story arc.
Dezi North is a tall, dark and sexy God from way back whose powers were bound when he, along with 5 other gods, were sent to Earth to battle the evil forces – the Div. If he finds his Keeper, his powers will be unleashed but until then, he enjoys the company of several women – who all keep turning up dead.
Lexington Cooper is a detective with the NYPD. She keeps getting calls to mysterious murders of women and Dezi North is always there. But is he a suspect? Despite his unknown connections with the murders, she still can’t deny the attraction she fights. And what exactly is this Keeper business?
Lex is about to learn that the world as she knew it is so far off base and there are far greater bad guys to be dealt with than what she was used to. Together, with the help of Dezi and his guys, will they be able to defeat the Div and stop the murders?
Dive into the world of the Inferi Dii once again and get sucked into another fabulous realm created by the sisters Price. I can never get enough from these two.
The day and night have forever shared the world. Just as good and evil have always been in the world. But when the light decides that it wants the world to itself, it sacrifices six gods by binding their souls to keep the darkness away. Each God is bonded to a relic that hold their power. Their souls have been bonded to one servant of their goddess. To free themselves they must find their Keeper who will guard the relic and free their souls and give them back their god powers. While they do this, evil is trying to break the veil between the two worlds. It is their time to rule and they want it. Gods or not they each have real life problems of love, lust, betrayal, family and killing evil. I liked this story because it flowed and kept me interested in the out come.
