What Does Christ’s Return Have To Do With Your Life Today? Do you consider yourself a “panmillenialist”? When it comes to the end times, do you believe everything will just pan out in the end? It’s easy to slip into apathy when it comes to Christ’s return, especially since many people in recent years have falsely predicted the end of the world. The danger of false predictions is that they discourage us from preparing for the actual event—an event that will happen and does matter right now. As popular Bible teacher Dr. Robert Jeffress shows in Perfect Ending , we may not know when Christ will return, but the Bible offers many details about what the end times look like. Understanding these biblical prophecies not only gives us greater peace about the future, it draws us to God in the present. Strengthen your biblical knowledge and your spiritual life through this powerful look at the future God promises for every follower of Christ.

Perfect Ending: Why Christ's Imminent Return Matters to You by Robert Jeffress, the senior pastor of the 11,000-member First Baptist Church of Dallas, Texas, is an insightful book aimed at helping Christians have a clear understanding of the events that will lead to the return of Jesus Christ, and apply it to everyday life.
The Scripture devotes a large amount of space to prophetic themes, yet very few Christians understand it. The Rev. Billy Graham once observed that “the most neglected teaching in the church today is the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.” Why do Christians neglect the subject? According to Robert Jeffress, Christian’s negligence of prophecy stems from four ill-conceived ideas: the subject is confusing, uncertainty of Christ’s return, too many interpretations and irrelevance to everyday life.
Yet, knowing where we are going in the future should greatly impact how we live in the present. Jeffress argues that one should invest both time and money in exploring the subject. He pointed out that: -Prophecy is a major theme in the Bible -Understanding prophecy helps to interpret and apply the Bible accurately -Understanding prophecy motivates one to Godly living
Through ten insightful chapters Robert Jeffress takes you through one of the most important end-time books that urge Christians to study and understand Bible prophecy. The study questions at the end of each chapter are designed to lead you to a deeper understanding of the subject.

What a great book! I have taken part in many Bible studies and listened to many sermons on the book of Revelation, but this new book by Robert Jeffress has outdone them all. The presentation is clear and simple. The flow of material is such a natural progression that you find yourself understanding and learning in a very painless process. This is the first book I have read from this author; however, I have added all of his other books to my “to be read” list. His ability to make complicated things simple is something I want to utilize for other Christian topics.
Mr. Jeffress begins the book by asking “Why Study Bible Prophecy”? Many people don’t see the need to study prophecy. Some think the subject is too confusing and they can never understand it. Others think Bible prophecy has nothing to do with their everyday life, that no one can know when Jesus will return, and that there are too many interpretations of prophecy for the subject to be that important. The author shows how Bible prophecy is essential to every Christian. Of course, he didn’t need to convince me since I have long held the same view. But even though I have studied prophecy before, it has never “jelled” so clearly in my mind before. Billy Graham is quoted in the book as saying, “the most neglected teaching in the church today is the second coming of Jesus Christ”. I heartily agree. The other neglected topic, as I see it, is the Holy Spirit. But that is a discussion for another time.
The topics of literal vs. spiritual interpretation are discussed and explained. Also, there are prophecy terms used in Christian circles that many people can’t define or comprehend. The terms include: The Great White Throne Judgment, The Tribulation, The Rapture, The Millennium, The Church Age, Premillennialism, Amillennialism, Postmillennialism, Pretribulation Rapture, Midtribulation Rapture, Postribulation Rapture, Second Coming of Jesus, and Eternity. Yes, it can get confusing and complicated! But Mr. Jeffress takes the reader through each one and then shows how they all fit together in the big picture.
If you want a clear, concise book on Bible prophecy, get this book and read it. If you are a Christian, the Bible says in Revelation Chapter 1, verse 3: Blessed is he that reads, and they that hear the words of this prophecy and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.

This is one of the better teachings I have read explaining the end times. It brings clarity to many things that can be confusing and controversial, making a good case for his interpretation of the scriptures. Occasionally, I ran into a statement or two I did not agree with like anyone would with this subject matter, but overall it is sound theology and Jeffress explains why it is. I recommend it.
Revelation is my favorite book in the N.T., and while I specialize in reading scholarly commentaries, I like to keep my finger on popular interpretations. The saddest part of this book for me was Jefress's interpretation of the judgement of the nations in Matthew 25. Rather than seeing this as a general judgement, Jefress sees this as a judgement of saints and others who were alive during the Great Tribulation only, and he uses this fact to minimize the importance of the Church caring for the poor. Another fact that struck me was that according to the premillennialist schema, there will be both people alive in the millennium who have their resurrection bodies and those who do not have their resurrection bodies. Therefore, there will be people who can die and those who cannot die. Jefress admits that this is strange, but still insists that premillennialism makes sense.
Robert Jeffress in his new book, “Perfect Ending” published by Worthy Publishing explains Why Your Eternal Future Matters Today.
From the back cover: What Does Christ’s Return Have To Do With Your Life Today? Everything.

Revelation is the only book of The Bible that tells us it comes with a blessing for reading it. Yet, most people shy away from reading it because the imagery that it contains seems to be very difficult to understand. Robert Jeffress tackles why people resist studying prophecy. ”The subject is too confusing to understand”, “Bible Prophecy has nothing to do with everyday life”. If those two topics sound like something you would say don’t worry lots of others seem to agree with you. In clear easy to understand chapters Robert Jeffress takes us through the book of Revelation eliminating any confusion and shows us why it is relevant to us today. ”Perfect Ending” helps to understand just what is happening in the world right now. It also aids in getting us the blessing as it gives us a real taste to sit down and read the book in its entirety. I recommend this book highly. I think this is a wonderful book and that everyone should have a copy of it. It is a book that will be read and referred to over and over again. It also is a wonderful gift to give to family and friends so that they can use it the same way themselves.

Before I launch into my review, there are two points of consideration. I was provided this book for review by the publisher for an honest and unbiased review.
Second, if you want to focus on the controversy surrounding the book then you can go to this link http://www.bpnews.net/BPnews.asp?id=4... or to this one http://worthypublishing.com/blog/news... but as for me and my review, we will focus on the good and the bad of the book. The cultural and political jabs taken in the book are a matter of subjective analysis of which the attention paid to them helps to sell books.
So what do we really have here? The bottom line is that it’s another book on prophecy – the end times – eschatology – or whatever subject categorization you wish to put on it? Well, that’s precisely what we have here in Robert Jeffress newest volume Perfect Ending.
Why another book with a dispensational slant to the end times? Jeffress’s motive in producing another volume on eschatology is that it will be “a powerful incentive for you to clothe yourself in holy conduct and godliness as we look forward to His certain return.” (p.27). Thus we have the underlying emphasis of the book. It is practical. It is motivational.
Jeffress achieves this in every chapter. Each of his chapters is interspersed with personal stories and practical illustrations which keep the reading of the book fast-paced. But the dilemma is that it should not be read as a fluffy Christian novella. It should be studied, digested and lived. In fact given the approach and structure of the book it seems like it may have been the result of an extended sermon series.
A couple of highlights: First, there is an excellent discussion on “reckon” (Galatians 3:6-8) on pages 35-38 detailing how that one single word proves that salvation is by faith alone in Christ and not faith plus something else or someone else.
Second, I found Chapter 9, “Rewards in Heaven,” to be most intriguing. In this chapter Jeffress details the rewards to be “earned” by unbelievers and Believers. Without divulging the content, it should be most frightening for unbelievers and quite motivational for Believers.
About a year ago I taught an adult Sunday School class on Revelation. In preparation for the class I collected a number of books both print and digital. They were all informative and helpful, but I wish I had this book as a resource. It separates the material into study-size sections and even provides study questions as an appendix.
If you’re a pastor or a teacher about to embark on a journey through “the end times,” you need to include Perfect Ending as a resource.
It is with a high degree of satisfaction that I am able to present a very positive review for Robert Jeffress' latest book entitled: "Perfect Ending: Why Your Eternal Future Matters Today". Jeffress has been a long time favorite author of mine, and his latest book did not disappoint. In fact, dear readers, I believe this may be the best Christian Eschatological book I've had the pleasure of reading. What I enjoyed most was the time the author took to bring even Christian "newbies" a clear understanding of what the Bible has to say about end times. He shows us that the end times are first addressed by God in the Book of Genesis. And then we are shown throughout the Bible that God and His prophets spoke of and taught the end times throughout the entire Bible.
Jeffress also gives us an overview of many eschatological terms, such as: Pre-Tribulation, Mid-Tribulation, Post-Tribulation, Milinnialism, the rapture, the Abomination of Desolation, the White Throne Judgment, and many other important terms and topics related to the end of the church age.
The book is incredibly informational, while not sounding like a technical journal article. Pastor Jeffress' writing, as well as the pastor himself, is very approachable and provides clear definition and understanding for the newest of Christians.
I've read a lot of books on end times. And the topic has always been one of high interest to me. I read my first book on "Eschatology" back in high school, when Hal Lindsey published "The Late Great Planet Earth". Since that time, I've cultivated a short list of prophecy teachers and authors that would include Lindsey, Grant Jeffrey, John Hagee, Perry Stone, and Irvin Baxter. These writers offer a wide spectrum of end times perspectives. And while I don't necessarily agree with these perspectives, I find that I am a better apologist by knowing and somewhat understanding the many sides of this topic.
I offer my opinion of this book because it's packed with good and important information, it's scope is wide, which makes it more understandable and more illuminating . And it is an easy read for any level of students of this subject.
I do commend this book to you with near certainty that it will mold and strengthen your understanding of The Word. It's a book that all Christians, regardless of their level of biblical knowledge, should read and consider.
I was provided an Advanced Review Copy of this book by the publisher, as part of their First Look Program, in exchange for a timely and honest review. I have no additional ties to the author or publisher and the opinions expressed are solely my own.
In Perfect Ending, Robert Jeffress attempts to explain biblical prophecy concerning the end-times in such a way that people with no formal theological training can seek to understand. He is convinced that bible prophecy is a major topic in the Bible because of the amount of space that has been devoted to it. This is why understanding prophecy will help people understand and apply the Bible accurately. Also, understanding the big picture of Bible prophecy will prompt believers to live godly and productive lives.
According to Jeffress, the sequence of events that are yet to occur are as follows: (1) The Church age; (2) the rapture of the Church; (3) The tribulation; (3) The second coming of Christ; (4) The Millennium; (5) The great white throne judgment and; (6) eternity future.
Jeffress holds to the pre-millennial view (142) which states that the second coming of Christ occurs prior to the millennium. He also makes a distinction between Israel and the church. The two other views concerning the meaning of the millennium are postmillennium and amillennium. Postmillennialists believe that Christ will return after the millennium. Adherents of this view believe that the entire world will be evangelized which will bring prosperity and peace that will characterize the kingdom. Amillennialism means “no millennium.” According to the author, ammillennialists interpret the thousand year reign of Christ described in Revelation 20 as descriptive of Christ’s rule in the hearts of His followers that started after His resurrection and will go on until the Second coming of Christ (145).
As mentioned earlier, this book is written in such a way that any lay person can understand where the author is coming from and why he holds his views. But those who want to go deeper should seek out and read from other perspectives.

-- I wasn't expecting to learn so much. The end times, don't most of us even really understand? Mr Jeffress has broken everything down for us, in simple terms that really make a lot of sense, without making you feel stupid. I really learned a lot from this book!
Why Bible prophecy is important: 1. Bible prophecy is a major theme of the Bible. 2. An understanding of prophecy helps us to interpret and apply the Bible accurately. 3. An understanding of Bible prophecy motivates us toward godly living.
The chart that shows the sequences on page 52 is such a help for someone like myself that is a visual learner!
Everything in this book really was a blessing to me. I will definitely keep this on my shelf.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.
What does the thought of this word-eschatology-do to you in your spirit? Does it strike fear? Does it excite you? Do you possibly scoff at the idea? For many of us the thought of end times events is somewhat irrelevant to our daily lives. It really isn’t on our radar, but Pastor Robert Jeffress encourages us all to think otherwise. In his latest release “Perfect Ending”, Jeffress does an excellent work of making a somewhat intimidating subject very accessible to all of us. Robert Jeffress is an adjunct professor at my alma mater, Dallas Theological Seminary, but this book does not read like a seminary dissertation. You will enjoy his many stories. You will be engaged by his straightforward explanations of the Bible’s many prophetic passages. You will be amazed at how quickly you can digest a book on this subject!
I encourage each of you to snag a copy of this great book and be challenged in your thinking about future events. Our eternity does matter. It matters immensely. And the things we believe about our future will shape the way we live today.
As C.S. Lewis wrote in Mere Christianity (and Jeffress quotes), “…a continual looking forward to the eternal world is not (as some moderns think) a form of escapism or wishful thinking, but one of the things a Christian is meant to do. — It is since Christians have largely ceased to think of the other world that they have become so ineffective in this one.”
***Learn why Christ's return has everything to do with your life today***
Dr. Robert Jeffress, senior pastor, Dallas First Baptist church and radio host of Pathway to Victory, penned Perfect Ending releasing January 21st, at the request of a fellow pastor. Even though his friend held a PhD in theology, he felt inadequate to preach on prophetical events and asked Jeffress to "write a simple book explaining Bible prophecy."
I know how complex and confusing prophecy, End Time events and Christ's return can be and wondered if simplicity were possible. Until I began to read and found this pastor's reasoning and explanations, not only supported by scripture, but easier to understand than most prophecy books I've read.
Even though no one can know the day or hour of Christ's return, Matthew 16:3 and other verses, imply we can know the season. In the same vein, chapters 24 and 25 of Matthew provide an overview, a "simple outline that includes the Great Tribulation, the return of Christ, the judgments and Christ's thousand year rule on earth," writes Dr. Jeffress.
It's for these reasons he wrote Perfect Ending, not only for his fellow pastor, but to teach "what Christ's return has to do with our lives today" since the eternal consequences of heaven, hell and life after death are significant…
I'm going to finish reading this book. But I'm rating it now because much of the premise of the book is based on the "fact" that Jesus never mentioned the rapture. This is false. Not only did Jesus mention the rapture he talked about it as part of a sequence of events, tribulation. What's more disconcerting is the authors arming attempt to mislead the reader by quoting all of the preceding verses of Matthew to discuss the end times and conveniently omitting any reference to "two shall be working in the field". Further more he says that Paul is the first to unveil the concept of rapture in Thessalonians, and references a verse where Paul flat out says he's quoting Jesus. I'm uncomfortable with what I perceive to be a deliberate attempt to mislead the reader... I finished the book and I still can't recommend it. in a discussion about rewards in heaven the author talks about Christians in heaven being ranked based on their deeds and states that some Christians who aren't as diligent/ faithful will experience regret in heaven. .. that's in direct conflict with the doctrine of God wiping away every tear and sadness.
Bible prophecy can be one of those touchy subjects that can spark a huge debate among Christians today. With all the false teachings that are prevalent today, we find it hard who can we trust. Dr. Jeffress has made a huge impact on the teaching of Bible prophecy. He goes in depth to with the subject and even answers some of the top questions pertaining to Christ return, the judgment seat, tribulation, and the new heaven and new earth. I really enjoyed learning more about Bible prophecy and loved the chapter on “why we should study Bible prophecy?” Some of his reasons were that Bible prophecy is a major theme in the Bible and an understanding of prophecy helps us to interpret and apply the Bible accurately. Bible prophecy helps us to understand the Bible and learn to apply it by not taking the verses out of context. WOW, this is truly an amazing book and I highly recommend it to everyone.
*I received this book from the publisher for my honest review*
Cassandra's Review- To understand complex and interesting facts are not always the easiest thing. This book will help you to break down the information so that you can really benefit from it and not have to refer to many other books to translate what is being said. I was thrilled to experience the knowledge and fact that was inserted in the pages of Perfect Ending. I would recommend this book to both adult and young adult as they would get the most out of it.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from Worthy Publishing.
The Rev. Billy Graham once said, “the most neglected teaching in the church today is the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.” As a Christian, I admit that I find prophecy about the return of Jesus and end time events very confusing. Apparently so do other people.
This book, by Robert Jeffress, is an excellent resource if you'd like to learn more about upcoming events that many think are in the very near future. I think it would benefit everyone to read this book carefully. Mr. Jeffress has linked prophecy from throughout the Bible to give us a better understanding.
This was a really good book that gave me perspective. It made me think a lot about Heaven and about my dad that died 4 years ago. It seems like it was yesterday. This book gave me faith that we will meet again in heaven. This book answered any questions I had on Bible Prophecy. There is also a great study Questions section at the end. I did not like the part about Obama. I highly recommend that you get this book and at least read "The Top Ten Questions About Heaven". I am giving this book a 4/5. I was given a copy to review, however all opinions are my own.
I received this book for free through goodreads first reads. I give this book 5 stars. The author states that many object to studying Bible prophecy because it is too confusing. Well, Robert Jeffress has written this book in an easy to understand format and has defined the major events that have yet to occur. He has even provided a chart that lists the events in sequence. At the end of the book the author has included "The Top Ten Questions About Heaven". I enjoyed this section - many of my questions were answered.
If you want an easy-to-read-and-understand book on the end times that is also biblically based, this is a great one! Robert Jeffress is an excellent and trusted writer, and it is no mean feat to write on this subject and yet make it highly readable.
I plan on buying a copy for the church library. Well, this is one book that will be never be out of date unless you're reading this after the rapture or beyond! Ha!
Thus book was recommended in my SS Class after a lesson on The Second Coming. She whetted my love of reading. I have not been disappointed, but feel I need to read it another time or two to get a better understanding of all Hod has planned for us who love Him and have served Him for many years. I especially loved the last chapter!
Loved it and it provided a thorough explanation of the end times as described in Daniel, Isaiah, and the Book of Revelation. Pastor Jeffress has a masterful way of using analogies to get his points across and for the reader to get clarity on this very important biblical topic. Highly recommend this read.
I enjoyed reading this book. It is a topic I have many questions about. I look forward to reading the other books Dr. Jeffress has written. I received this copy by winning a goodreads first-reads contest.
Definitely worth reading. Not just once, but over and over. Just to make sure everything sticks. Dr. Jeffress covers alot of information and in an easy to understand manner.
If you think the Book of Revelation in the Bible is too hard to understand or scary and are afraid to dive in and understand the scripture, then this book is for you. Easy to read and understand and has scriptural support for self-study validation. Highly recommend this book.
