Rumiko Takahashi (高橋留美子) was born in Niigata, Japan. She is not only one of the richest women in Japan but also one of the top paid manga artists. She is also the most successful female comic artist in history. She has been writing manga non-stop for 31 years.

Rumiko Takahashi is one of the wealthiest women in Japan. The manga she creates (and its anime adaptations) are very popular in the United States and Europe where they have been released as both manga and anime in English translation. Her works are relatively famous worldwide, and many of her series were some of the forerunners of early English language manga to be released in the nineties. Takahashi is also the best selling female comics artist in history; well over 100 million copies of her various works have been sold.

Though she was said to occasionally doodle in the margins of her papers while attending Niigata Chūō High School, Takahashi's interest in manga did not come until later. During her college years, she enrolled in Gekiga Sonjuku, a manga school founded by Kazuo Koike, mangaka of Crying Freeman and Lone Wolf and Cub. Under his guidance Rumiko Takahashi began to publish her first doujinshi creations in 1975, such as Bye-Bye Road and Star of Futile Dust. Kozue Koike often urged his students to create well-thought out, interesting characters, and this influence would greatly impact Rumiko Takahashi's works throughout her career.

Career and major works:

Takahashi's professional career began in 1978. Her first published story was Those Selfish Aliens, a comedic science fiction story. During the same year, she published Time Warp Trouble, Shake Your Buddha, and the Golden Gods of Poverty in Shōnen Sunday, which would remain the home to most of her major works for the next twenty years. Later that year, Rumiko attempted her first full-length series, Urusei Yatsura. Though it had a rocky start due to publishing difficulties, Urusei Yatsura would become one of the most beloved anime and manga comedies in Japan.

In 1980, Rumiko Takahashi found her niche and began to publish with regularity. At this time she started her second major series, Maison Ikkoku, in Big Comic Spirits. Written for an older audience, Maison Ikkoku is often considered to be one of the all-time best romance manga. Takahashi managed to work on Maison Ikkoku on and off simultaneously with Urusei Yatsura. She concluded both series in 1987, with Urusei Yatsura ending at 34 volumes, and Maison Ikkoku being 15.

During the 1980s, Takahashi became a prolific writer of short story manga, which is surprising considering the massive lengths of most of her works. Her stories The Laughing Target, Maris the Chojo, and Fire Tripper all were adapted into original video animations (OVAs). In 1984, after the end of Urusei Yatsura and Maison Ikkoku, Takahashi took a different approach to storytelling and began the dark, macabre Mermaid Saga. This series of short segments was published sporadically until 1994, with the final story being Mermaid's Mask. Many fans contend that this work remains unfinished by Takahashi, since the final story does not end on a conclusive note.

Another short work left untouched is One-Pound Gospel, which, like Mermaid Saga, was published erratically. The last story to be drawn was published in 2001, however just recently she wrote one final chapter concluding the series

Later in 1987, Takahashi began her third major series, Ranma ½. Following the late 80s and early 90s trend of shōnen martial arts manga, Ranma ½ features a gender-bending twist. The series continued for nearly a decade until 1996, when it ended at 38 volumes. Ranma ½ is one of Rumiko Takahashi's most popular series with the Western world.

During the later half of the 1990s, Rumiko Takahashi continued with short stories and her installments of Mermaid Saga and One-Pound Gospel until beginning her fourth major work, InuYasha. While Ran

A stunning conclusion to a great series. Like any good fairytale there is a happy ending for our heroes. I would want a continuation of this series, but I doubt it would be well received. I still ship Rin and Sesshomaru.

I assume if you've read the story until this point (18 VIZBIG editions/56 individual books/558 chapters) you already love the story and don't need me to break down the highs and lows of this final instalment. This review isn't so much about the content of this volume, as it is how I feel finally completing the story.

I have been consuming Inuyasha media periodically since I was a child (the anime, the movies, the manga, FanFiction, soundtracks, fan art, etc.) and this is the first time I've actually gotten through the final arc in any form. I always knew generally what happened but since the anime went on hiatus I lost track of the show and never knew exactly how everything went down. Also, the amount of FanFiction I've consumed by this point rivals the length of the entire Outlander series, so until I finished this edition I had a hard time remembering what the canon ending is because I've read so many variations of it!

It was so bittersweet reading this last volume. I am sorry to see my comfort series finally come to an end but I am happy to complete a story that I've continuously returned to throughout my life. I know the story continues in Yashahime, but from what I've read about it so far, I'm not sure I'll be picking it up. To me, this final volume is the perfect farewell to some very beloved characters, and I don't want my perception of them changed by what happens in their new story.

Great ending to a great series.
I loved how everyone worked together to take Naraku down.
I loved that Inuyasha went after Kagome when the meido sucked her in. He didn’t hesitate this time to get his woman. Made me finally believe that he loved her.
Good ending. Made me smile.

This story was very well written. It did get repetitive at certain points but it always sucked me back in. I only wish that the romance between Inuyasha and Kagome was a little more apparent. They didn’t even kiss in the entire series!!!! But he can kiss Kikyo??? And we saw Miroku and Sanyo kiss as well... Anyway it’s still a good story nonetheless!

It’s a long series but I definitely recommend!!!

Oh my gosh! I finished reading this whole entire series this year and my heart just bursts with the love I bear for this series. Of everything, I love the end as it was beautifully stitched together and the emotion it brings for the characters I all love. The final battle with Naraku is just a non stop emotional and action packed volume that I never wanted to stop. Such a memorable series and I am just going to be a hardcore Inuyasha and Kagome shipper until the end.

I’ve been reading this series since at least 2005. I’ve started it over several times and now I finally finished. I feel so accomplished but also a little sad that I don’t I have this series to go back to when I’m out of things to read. Anyway, I was very satisfied with the ending! There’s lots of filler in this story but the characters are so good that I didn’t really mind.

The end of such an iconic series! I spent the last three months reading this series from start to finish, finally learning what really happens at the end of the story since I never saw it in the anime version. This series tugs on my nostalgia heartstrings so so much, from page 1 to page 10,000, I couldn't put these books down. Though I have now finally finished the series, Inuyasha will still stand to remain one of my all time favorite mangas/animes.

I am writing this with tears falling from my eyes.

I started watching InuYasha when I was 5 years old (that is 18 years ago). My sister and I were watching some cartoons on TV when afterwards InuYasha started. Neither of us knew what manga or anime was back then. We kept watching episodes and that was it. Years passed and I grew up and forgot about it. More years passed and I started following some manga and anime on my own account (I think I was 14 or 15) and InuYasha never came to me. Suddenly, one day my head filled with a scene of Kagome shooting an arrow and I remembered it. I started looking for the anime and finally found it. I watched two seasons until I decided ro read the manga. I think I was scared of finishing it since it had such a special part in my heart (all the love and affection I felt for it when I was younger came back and was multiplied by the nostalgia). Now I am 23 and finally read it. That is the reason why I am crying. I finally built up the courage to end something I started as a child. I finally managed to read the end to Kagome and Miroku and Sango and InuYasha and Shippo’s journey. And I am not ok.

I cannot put into words how much I adore and love this series. It was my favourite manga for a reason and it still stands after finishing it. It has some problems and I will get to them in a bit but for now let me dwell on my pain and somehow happiness.

Let’s start with the review already or I might never review this. I want to talk about the artwork first. It amazed me how a series that is as old as I am has such consistency in their characters. They always look true to themselves and are always beautifully drawn (yes, even in the comic parts) unlike some newer stories which makes me question how good newest mangas are.

The story had some turns I didn’t expect. Even at the end. I thought I had all of it figured out and then something happened and left me wondering how that ending was going to happen. I mean, I wasn’t 100% wrong, but I wasn’t 100% right either.

Sometimes the scenes happened too fast and we had too many action scenes together that didn’t let enough time to breathe and felt suffocating, I think this could’ve been managed a bit better (although I understand you cannot break a fight just for the sake of it) with some bonding scenes (get to this in a moment) or those hilarious present moments.

As I said, we could’ve had more bonding scenes. At the beginning of the manga, when the whole gang gets together, they are automatically friends and I get it, we don’t follow every single one of their days, we only follow the “missions” but that’s part of the problem. I cannot believe these five people are besties if I have not seen them bonding over a campfire chilling at night getting some dinner eaten and stuff like that. But to be honest, by the end of this you see how much they care for each other.

Another thing that I didn’t like is that some things felt too convenient. An example would be the manthis arc. It just happened for the sake of messing with Miroku and Rumiko could’ve made the thing that happens to Miroku happen to him as a collateral damage of the preview battle and beginning of the new one rather than have a demon come out of wherever because of whatever.

Another thing that I might not have liked at 100% is the ending. But I am okay with it.

So overall I love this manga and you should read it because it is really cool and a classic and the story is hella complex and amazing and the artwork is outstanding and I love it. It has some negative parts to it but so does everything.

What a finale! This did NOT disappoint! Team Inuyasha and Team Sesshomaru join forces for the final battle against Naraku and Moryomaru. This volume goes even further into depth of what Miroku and Sango will do for love of one another. I enjoyed the fact that we got to see Kagome complete her schooling before settling on the life she wanted.
As for the series as a whole, it was amazing! Takahashi has a beautiful way of storytelling. She kept the audience engaged and crying for more. There was never a moment where I felt bored. In fact, the less active moments were much needed moments of levity. I was so hooked on this series. Once I finished a volume, I would go and pick up the next without even thinking about it. The character development is phenomenal. Seeing Inuyasha at the end of the book is completely different from when he was first introduced. The balance of romance, mythology, humor, action, adventure, and martial arts is highly unique. I thoroughly believe that only Takahashi could have accomplished it. I don't believe that there has ever been a series of this length that I consistently gave 5 stars (I would give more but alas, I am only allowed 5). This comes highly recommended. Don't just watch the anime (although it follows the manga well and is wonderful in it's own right). There is so much in this series. If you get the chance, just purchase the whole series. You will be hooked!

I always hate reading this one because I get so sad that it’s over. 18 installments of 3-4 books, and you find yourself on this adventure with the characters so when it’s all over, it’s a very “what now?” feeling. Everything is so fantastic in this one. I just love it so much! I had forgotten Kagome and Inuyasha don’t kiss in the books, only the show, so that was a bummer and something I’m happy the show added. Considering all they had gone through, plus it’s not like the manga hasn’t shown kissing before… and with the ending comes children.. So I mean, a kiss on page wouldn’t be far off. Either way, one of my favourite series ever, definitely favourite manga, and I can’t wait to watch the anime in coming months.

I don’t know why I’m crying, but this feels like closing a chapter of my childhood. I’ve been reading Inuyasha for more than a decade, but I’d never made it to the end. Now that I finally did, it feels like I’ve lost a little something in my heart.

I’m pretty sure I’ll reread this whole series and sob again. It’s just such a masterful piece of historical fantasy and I love every character so much. Rumiko Takahashi is definitely one of my writing inspirations 💖

I finished this a week ago but have been mulling over a review. Sadly, it's hard to put into words, I'm sad that it's over, but the ending was very satisfying.
I guess now I will have to read Yashahime.
I would highly recommend following this series through to the end. It's very much worth it! Sometimes, it gets repetitive, but overall, it's a great series!

4 stars.

After almost exactly a year since starting this series, I have finally read the last volume! The ending is what I expected, but I won't lie, it was very bittersweet to me. I feel sad that Kagome will never see her parents, grandfather, or brother again. That truly made my heart ache a bit to think about. I also feel sad that Koga and the other wolfs didn't make an appearance. I don't know... I just felt like tearing up a bit when I reached the ending.

I'm so happy that Kohaku got to live. The moment where his jewel shard left his body, after he finally was ready to live was just heartbreaking. I'm glad that Kikyo's light chose not to leave him and to instead keep him alive. Seeing Sesshomaru develop throughout the series has been so great. I loved the moment where it was him, Kagome, Inuyasha, Miroku and Sango against Naraku. It felt like a "bad bitches link up" moment. Miroku and Sango slighting irritated me, because they both were hellbent on dying for the other, when I was just thinking the goal is for no one to have to die. I'm glad that Rin survived as well (though the moment where Sango was willing to sacrifice her to save Miroku was a lot and I do wish more came out out of that moment). I will never watch Y*shihime because I like Sesshomaru and I want to continue to live him. It was interesting seeing how the shikon jewel never really granted the wishes of those who owned it and how it was so determined to survive countless generations. Seeing this volume talk more about Naraku's motives was really interesting. It was fascinating that despite so much time passing, his one real desire was Kikyo's heart. Naraku, Kikyo, and the original priestess ended up being victims of it. I'm glad that Kagome made the right wish.

Seeing everyone in the future, three years later, made me happy but also just made me sad. I don't fully know how to articulate it. Inuyasha and Kagome's reunion was done so beautifully. Miroku and Sango are married and have three babies, as well. I'm glad that for the most part, the gang stayed together and didn't separate after defeating Naraku. I'm also glad that Lady Kaede is alive and teaching Kagome.

Well, after years of watching the anime and wondering how the manga ends, I finally know how the story concludes. I really enjoyed my time with this series. I'll miss the characters and will probably rewatch the anime soon.

Inuyasha is one of the greatest series ever made; a perfect combination of isekai, adventure, fantasy, comedy, romance, and drama

Rumiko takahashi’s art is so uniquely gorgeous; not overly polished and generously exaggerated that conveys all the ranges of emotion so well .. her simultaneously divine and monstrous designs .. just a delight

All of her characters are uniquely free and selfish, and in doing so makes them all so especially memorable and relatable

I could write an essay on every main protagonist AND antagonist and their character development, relationships, foils, impact and meaning it’s insane how well written and paced Inuyasha is

Arcs span few to tens of chapters and consistently build the world, build the characters, and move the narrative, all in a sensible way

A common gripe from the anime is inuyasha and kikyo relationship “stunting” inuyasha and kagome’s relationship and taking out everyone from the action of the series .. listen, it is not a love triangle, it is a tragically beautiful relationship on grief, trauma, and moving on, it’s arguably the most well written and complex relationship of the whole series!! It’s the heart of the series; challenging fate, growing out of resentment, accepting grief, accepting new love, being compassionate is just some amongst the numerous teachings

I love inukag, you can’t not, and kikyo is my ride or die!! My favourite character of all time!! It’s not a competition, neither parts would be who they are and end up where they are, without each other

The secondary characters, Sango and miroku have incredible histories and their stories progress alongside the main story seamlessly; shippo .. sure

Naraku is an absurdly underrated villain; a perfect foil to inuyasha, bat for bat in terms of will and weaknesses, constantly involved in the story and evolving the stakes; the master of manipulation, his history with the gang and reach over the realm .. just incredible

Characters like sesshomaru and kagura on the periphery but foil inuyasha and kagura so well .. truly every character’s relationship to any other character is worth exploring, again I applaud this interwoven complexity

There are very few true filler arcs, and I enjoy them as they tend to enrich the lore and build relationships between any sets of characters

A relatively long series at +550 chapters, is still so well paced, not a single stretch feels overdone or drawn out, just a steady consistent page turning epic, with many major battle arcs serving as great key milestones leading to the long awaited finale

A solid, satisfying ending is what tops Inuyasha off as a damn perfect series to me, truly

So... It's finally over. Oh, spoilers for the entire series, btw. Not sure if anyone else feels this proud seeing a long series on their TBR finally completed. This is a manga that takes patience and time; don't make my mistake of taking nearly a year to complete this (prolonged intervals are a bad idea). The characters all got their due, but I was all about Inuyasha's arch; I mean, the guy goes from a brooding hanyo, with no friends/family ties (a literal lone wolf), hell-bent on becoming a full fledged demon, all while using Kagome and the rest of their crew for nothing more than added power. And by the end, he not only falls for Kagome based on her own character traits, not simply an extension of the one that got away (AKA Kikyo), but also discards his quest of becoming youkai for the greater good of not only the group, but mankind. His final speech while battling the darkness: stating that no, Kagome wasn't born to reignite the jewel, she was born to meet him, to show him that he was not alone; he had a woman's love and his friends' respect, and that no one else could've have shown him that... be still my heart while I attempt to type through my happy tears! I'm telling you (whoever stumbled upon this review), this series is deceptively deep: there's discussion of fate, reincarnation, and even the jewel/want of it is seen as an exploiter of the shard carriers' deepest regrets/failures, and brings out the selfish/violent nature in those who seek it out. But... I'll admit, I wanted an epic reunion between Inuyasha and Kagome. Also, Inuyasha letting her go to live a normal life was kind of pointless: yeah, I see feminist merit (also, we forget, Kagome's in 8th or 9th grade throughout the series) in growing up before you settle down, but she spends her time moping/missing the people she had true connection with (I know she had a few friends up the well, but did we ever even get their names?), and then gets married to Inuyasha right out of high school anyway. What was the point, if you were just going back to the feudal times, assimilating into his life? But I digress. Off to finish the anime and begin my search for my next new manga. Wish me luck and suggestions if you feel so inclined.

This was 4.5 because there were points that didn't make sense, not as creative as they could be, and the ending was not my favorite.

I loved reading this series. It was really action-packed, funny, and had shocking moments at the same time. Overall, I believe there were underused characters like Jaken and Shippo. Throughout the series there were barely a handful of times when they defeated demons, but they did so nonetheless. The ending battle is supposed to be when everyone culminates their powers to defeat the big bad, but it only took Inuyasha, Kagome, and Sesshomaru. Having Shippo, Jaken, and Kohaku stay back then follow them into battle was utterly pointless since they did nothing to stop Naraku or help the others. It really seems like that battle was written in a rush, so it could be as simple as possible. Many weapons were upgraded to make it even easier for them to defeat Naraku.
As I mentioned before, Magatsuhi doesn't make sense to me. How could he have come out of the jewel, been defeated, yet the jewel is still evil?

In the end, Sango and Miroku were married and had children. Sango really deserves better. It was played off as a joke that Miroku was constantly unfaithful and treated her as a piece of ass, yet she still married him anyway. And he so casually missed the birth of his child? I hope no one finds their relationship inspiring, it's really insulting.

Kagome ended up staying in the past with Inuyasha after three years of the well being closed. I don't know why I don't like this, but I don't. I think they should be together, but I don't like that she left her family and freaking year 2000 to live in the 1500s. Miroku and Inuyasha are shown casually fighting off demons, and it seems boring to them. I think they could all achieve more than they did (except Kohaku, he's the only one who made the choice to become exceptional at what he does).

Finished with just an hour left on my library loan. I’ve never been so close to not reading/finishing a book, but I was really dragging my feet. Disappointing finale to a disappointing series. I should have quit a long long time ago.

I don’t think a single part of this series was planned in advance. Every new chapter was some variation of Naraku has now split himself into a new character, but this one is impervious to all our characters’ weapons, so they go away and level up and come back and beat ‘em. Huzzah? Plus every time a character gets an OP game-breaking weapon, they have to find a way to nullify it otherwise the story is over. The Wind Tunnel was OP, so they had to find a reason to nuke it. Inuyasha’s sword is now OP, so of course the latest baddie isn’t affected. It was the same story over and over. Now we’re fighting inside of Naraku! Guys, didn’t we already do this? Remember when Naraku… was somehow a mountain, and they fought inside of the body he was constructing? Or something? Honestly… There came a point where I had no idea what was going on and what the rules of this universe are supposed to be. What the extent of people’s powers are. What different characters’ motivations are. What even is Naraku’s motivation? I could not tell you. He’s there to be evil and he especially has it out for this specific group of people. I don’t even remember. Oh look, we need a place to rest, and here’s a priestess/noble woman who is somehow by herself in a temple or mansion, and she’s offering us a place to stay. Hope she’s not a demon!

Especially disappointed, frankly irritated, with the ending of the Inuyasha-Kikyo-Kagome love triangle. As predicted. Unearned. Kagome deserves better. Girl, you should have listened to your friends.

Well, I made it - somehow. This may be the most work I have put into a series for the least out-put. I am not sure why I pushed so hard to make it to the end when I was bored around the middle part. I understand that the characters grew and changed, but it felt like they changed too little and too slow for me to be invested. The story felt like I had read it before, and the monsters and the final bosses were not much of a "reward" for making it to the end. I was just there for the romance, and I feel like I didn't get that at all.
So, in the end Kagome goes back to school (and good luck on the front, seriously, how many days have you missed?!) and becomes older before heading back to Inuyasha, which is actually kind of nice, even though it felt completely unjustified: why does she need to wait? She certainly had no problems leaving her life behind beforehand. And, it isn't like she will need those school skill to murder people or sit on hills. Like, what exactly did she gain by doing this? And my romance, the only thing that kept me in the story, my waiting was rewarded with a marriage. Sure, they got married, but I wanted a long soliloquy about how Inuyasha was confused, but that he knows what he wants now. I wanted over-the-top, I wanted to be in tears by their devotion to one another after waiting this entire series to get there- but, alas, that did not come. So I am rating this 1/5 stars. The ending and the series was not what I was hoping for, but if you made it this far, it was probably something you enjoyed.

-REVIEW FOR THE SERIES AS A WHOLE -

It was an absolute delight to get the chance to read the full story of Inuyasha and Kagome. The anime got me through some of my worst years as a teen and ever since i watched it, it has had a special place in my heart. Ive tried reading it multiple times but some part of me always wanted to own it so when I found these VIZBIG editions, i screamed and bought my first book.

This brought me back to the times when the anime saved my life, gave me hope and held my hand like a friend. It was my ultimate comfort anime and ever so often i either think it or start an episode or two of it.

The manga and anime does differ in some regards, Kikyo and Kagome, for an example look a lot more alike in the manga than the anime. A few scenes are put in different orders than the anime and it felt a bit jumpy, but thats what reading a manga will do for you. It can only fit so much when an anime can fit so much more.

ABSOLUTELY recommended and i will forever love this series as a whole for making me see a light in a dark tunnel and I can now proudly say that ive both seen the anime and read the manga.

SCREAMING CRYING THROWING UP.

Naraku is finally dead. HE IS GONE. I will not miss that dramatic bitch AT ALL 🤣

Maybe the ending just felt a little too rushed for me? Not the final battle with Naraku, that actually felt drawn out. But more on the wrapping up of things—the well disappearing, Kagome returning to her world, the Inugang going on with their lives, Inuyasha living without Kagome and maybe realizing and admitting to himself his feelings for her? Like I wanted to see more of that. We spent so much time seeing all of these characters go through so much pain and tragedy and violence, that I just wanted to see more of them living their lives and finding their peace after all their battles and struggles. The ending was nice, but yep I wanted it longer 😅

(Also let me just say a few more things... I mean, Sango and Miroku being mostly still teenagers and having THREE kids already like damn 😭 and then Kagome being only 19 and choosing to live back in time? I just think Inuyasha can wait more than three years, don't you think 😂 After all, he did admit in the final battle that he was born for Kagome. Now that was actually sweet.)

Anyway. What a journey it has been! I started this Inuyasha manga journey back in June on impulse. Now I've actually finished all of it 🥹 Maybe now it's time to watch the anime as a whole?? 🫣

Great ending. The battle inside of Naraku was a little confusing - I’m not sure why Sesshomaru’s sword was helping tear apart Naraku. I thought the twist at the end with the jewel being the true evil was interesting. Not sure why it was exactly 3 years before Kagome could go back though?

Also I’ve honestly never been in love with the idea of Kagome going back in time to live in a very dangerous era (it was called the warring states era) with basically no healthcare…. I’ve always much preferred the idea of Inuyasha coming to live with her in the modern era, or even her meeting him reincarnated in the modern era. Inuyasha spent those pages talking about how worried her family was and how he knew other people loved her, but then we’re all supposed to just be fine with it now that she’s 18???

This is of course totally ignoring the huge glaring issue of Kagome being 18 and Inuyasha being 158…. (And still the emotional age of a 15 year old? Do demons gain one emotional year every 10 human years?? Don’t ask me to explain Sesshomaru’s emotional age of 19 vs being over 900 years old in human years. How does it work???????)

A roller coaster of emotions!
I've watched the anime on television when I was a kid. It's my one of my favorite anime! Haven't been able to really watched the whole series since televised version has some cuts and some episodes will just keep on repeating until they ended the show.
I was able to watched the anime again on Netflix until Season 4 I think?
By that time I was really hoping I could finish this series, but I didn't.
When I started out reading manga, I thougt that this should be the first manga series that I should finish. And now I did it. 😭😭

I really love the series! Didn't expect and I will get emotional on some scenes.
I really liked Seshumaru's character development. I love him for being nonchalant, but he's a caring pup deep inside.
When I was watching anime, I didn't like Kikyo's character, but when I was reading the manga, I think I kinda understand her attachment to Inuyasha and vice versa. But still I'm loyal Kagome-Inuyasha shipper! 😁

I'm gonna miss my childhood companions. It's making me nostalgic and really emotional. I'm just so happy to finished the series.
Thank you Inuyasha and the gang for the wonderful memories! 💕

This was absolutely fantastic.
I've read the entire series four times, one or two of which were just for the last three omnibuses alone. Rumiko Takahasi is a great creator in general, but there is a reason why InuYasha is her most-known work!

The end was so sweet, and I absolutely loved the Kagome x InuYasha at the well. I'm honestly slightly sad that they didn't kiss (even though InuYasha kissed Kikyo...?), but it was so honest and perfect.
I loved the concept of illusions and fighting inside the enemy, along with Magatsuhi, and with Kagome and InuYasha being half-trapped in the jewel... so amazing.

Personally, I really don't like Kikyo for being in Kagome's way, so I'm kind of grateful she was not in the book for certain reasons (spoilers for the 16th omnibus). It made the whole thing a lot cleaner.

Books never, ever make me cry. When I first processed that I had finished the series, I cried. That's just how good this series is.

Anyway, this series is so interesting and cool, with plot twists and well-written ships.
Absolutely recommend!
