A deadly lover. His perfect mate. Asher is everything Aria's never dared to imagine: sexy, confident, and rich. But if she convinces him to take her to his bed... her first time may be her last.

Incubus Asher Chain seduces every woman he meets whether he wants to or not, and refuses to let anyone grow close to him. Until the alluring, tattooed waitress Aria Hyacinthe admits she’s been living in her car. Enthralled by her unusual beauty—and terrified he’ll succumb to his deadly, incubus needs—Asher offers her a place to stay.

Living in Asher's loft above his gym, Aria's desire for his body is growing more urgent with every touch. Used to being the backward, shy one, in his presence she becomes fierce, captivating, and breaks down Asher’s walls against all his attempts to keep his distance. She has no clue that if he gives in to her passionate pleas, she won't survive the night, just like all the other women who have fallen victim to his charms.

But the deeper Asher and Aria fall in love, the harder he must fight the incubus in his soul, demanding her life.

Asher Cain is cursed, never being able to fully enjoy the after-glow of sex, as soon as he and his partner reach climax…one ends up dead. Able to control the urge for no more than six months at a time, there is always someone willing to cum to his cabin with him...after all who couldn’t resist the billionaire personal trainer / male model!?!
An incubus was a creature of passion and hate, not love, and thus so was I.

Aria Hyacinth leaves the only home she knew, set on living her life and making her own choices, hoping to one day be able to follow her dream and travel. Unfortunately dream and reality are two different things, never imagining her new life would have her living out of her car and cleaning up at the local truck stop. Her choices of a one night stand are two of the extremes, men she would never let touch her to the one man who is so far out of her league that there is no league.
What could I say to a man like Asher Chain, though? Sure, I’d love to come home with you tonight, but in the morning I’ll have to take a cab back to my fucking car where I live like a hobo?

Deciding to save her pride, she turns down Asher’s advances causing him to pursue her harder...what was it about this girl with the punky, blue-streaked short hair and over pierced ears that makes her so different than all the other females he’s bedded. As fate has it, these two are thrown together, where temptation and control battle each other out to see who would win.
"I want to wait with you because waiting is hard. Resisting you is hard. And resisting pleasure, while bestowing pleasure on you as often as I can, is a turn on. When we do have sex, I will enjoy it to a level I don’t think you can imagine. And I want to make sure that before I enjoy you to that degree, you’ve enjoyed me every bit as much in advance."

As much as it pains Aria to wait, her desire for Asher grows more and more, she doesn’t understand what is happening to her, wanting to turn in her v-card to this one man who has proven himself worthy even though he believes otherwise. The more Aria throws herself at Asher the harder it is for him to fight the monster within. There has to be a way to have Aria and keep her alive….
“I can see your eyes,” she whispered. “And I’m not afraid of you; I’m not afraid of the fire consuming you right now, because goddammit, I feel it too.” She turned, leaving me staring at my reflection in the mirror.

I’ve read many paranormal romances, but I have to say this was a first for me and I’m happy to say I really enjoyed it. The inner battles were hard to read, because your heart just breaks for these two people who want each other more than anything else but can’t give in without risking it all. I was rooting for them the whole way, trying to come up with solutions for them, (like they could hear me), just so that they could have a HEA. The writing was very detailed so you could feel their emotions and be right there with them. Asher and Aria were two lost tortured souls that found each other, it leaves me wondering what other stories come of this, possible Gypsy’s story ???

As I read the synopsis, I figured why the hell not. Has SEX and an Incubus who thrives on sex. How can I possibly go wrong? Unfortunately, I was wrong because I expected More. Maybe more depth to these characters and a story line that consisted with a more paranormal theme. There was nothing paranormal about this book. Aside from that, the characters are only likeable to a certain degree.

Wild Hyacinthe is a story of a young man, Asher Chain, who is born a mortal but on his 16th birthday when he loses his virginity he awakens the Incubus within him. Once the Incubus unleashes within Asher's body it thrives on sexual sexcapades in order to consume the soul of the unsuspecting lover. Asher has no control of these urges and most succumb to the Incubus in order to live. Asher is your typical sexy, confident, and rich man, that can have any woman in his bed.

Aria Hyacinthe is a virgin and is dying to lose her virginity to a one night stand. But then she bumps into Asher in a nightclub and she tries her hardest to suppress the sexual urges that is magnifying within his presence. She decides that she rather not lose her virginity on a whim. In the following days, Asher strolls into her workplace accidentally, and decides that he will pursue her afterall. In the coming days, they develop an Insta-Love relationship.

Along with the predictability, Aria drove me insane with her constant selfish attitude. I have no clue how Asher put up with her shit, when I couldn't even do it. She was annoying, aggressive, and unsympathetic.
Aria's blase attitude just rubbed me the wrong way, and Asher's stupidity for always apologizing to her because she couldn't keep her pants on.
Aside from that, the story is well written with a few hot foreplay action.

Nola Sarina and Emily Faith created enticing and deliciously dark novel filled with dangerous romance and angst that will get any fan of romance with paranormal twist hooked from the beginning. Wild Hyacinthe is not only erotic and extremely sensual story, but very lethal with a hint of wildness and something alluring.

description

The story begins when Asher is eating his lover’s soul. He’s incubus – a monster that feed of sexual energy, killing in the process. Every time Asher have sex, his partner dies. This is 43 woman who died because of him and the monster that is inside of him. This young, handsome and rich man is sentenced to life with overwhelming guilt and need to fuck to death. He tried everything he could to stop the beast from taking lives, but there’s nothing he can do to stop the urge to have sex. The only person he can be honest with is his twin sister, Gypsy, that helps him, cover his crimes.

When he meet’s Aria, blue haired, rebel girl leaving in her car, he wants her beneath him, he feels the need to be buried inside her, and take her life. But somewhere along meeting her and befriending her, Asher starts to fight his demon from taking the reins. For the first time in years, Asher is falling for someone and there is no way he could kill Aria. Even when she begs him to have sex with her.

A story about overwhelming guilt, attraction, devouring passion and the need to find happiness, even when everythings show it’s impossible.

description

I adored how paranormal twist worked in the Wild Hyacinthe. It made this book a hell lot of more interesting and unique. For the first time, incubus is pictured not like a man whore wrapped in sexy package, but normal man with obsessive guilt on his shoulders.
Some things were quite predictable, and I guessed how it’ll end, almost at the beginning of the story, which made it less stellar in my eyes.

As much as I liked Aria and Asher, I was a little bored with the insta attraction that quickly led to another case of insta love. I think, this novel would be amazing if the authors gave us more time to see Aria and Asher as friends first and the slowly change their relationship.

I hated Gypsy. She wasn’t likeable character and her constant mean comments, made me want to throw up. As much as Asher was monster, he still felt guilty and bad about what he’s doing, while Gypsy, didn’t give a fuck, about dead women.

In nutshell, I really enjoyed reading Wild Hyacinthe, despite few issues I had with it, it’s one of this novels that easily hooked me.

Wild Hyacinthe is set to release next week and if you enjoy paranormal romance with a sexy and conflicted alpha male, a kick ass heroine and a story line that is both unique and and insatiable, then pick up Wild Hyacinthe on release day! I was lucky to be given an ARC copy of WH from Nola Sarina. I loved her Vespers novellas so I was intrigued when she sent it over. Incubus love story? Sounds awesome! I have a certain weak spot for that particular brand of demon.

When I started reading I just couldn't stop. So I kept reading, and kept reading, and kept reading...until I looked at the clock and realized it 3:00 in the morning.

Asher...oh Asher, you hot devil you. He was everything I look for in an alpha hero. Rich, sexy, fiercely protective and loves like his life depends on it (which you will find is the absolute truth). To say I swooned was an understatement.

His connection to Aria is instantaneous and electric and the two undertake on a steamy romance that is irresistible and full of angst.

Aria is not your typical, cookie cutter, virgin good girl. She's sassy with serious edge. When we meet her, she's homeless and has a chip on her shoulder the size of the Grand Canyon. Yet Asher gets her. She gets him. And together they make a beautiful sort of sense.

I don't want to spoil the book, but the barrier between the couple and their happy ending is a pretty big one. It's a real matter of life and death and their journey to figuring out a way to be together is amazing. There is an interesting mythology laid out here as well.

The book is well written. The characters are well rounded and the storyline compelling.

And when Asher takes you to hell, you'll be glad you went. :-)

Just when I thought Vespers were the end all, be all of shifter romances--paranormal romances--Nola had to go co-write a book with her friend about an Incubus!

At first I wasn't sure about this. Usually with incubus's you get a bit of a man whore wrapped up in a pretty package.

BUT NOT WITH NOLA!

Nola is all about the drama and the deep human emotions that surround our hunky Incubus.

I have to say thank you for this book because it was a page turner that I didn't want to put down. She always writes likable characters that tug at your tender heart strings and make you sniffle as your reading. I felt so dang bad for Asher! How could you NOT!? He was the essence of perfect, yet he can kinda kill you if he humps you--loves you--and it is tearing him up inside because he me the woman of his dreams inside, Aria.

I really didn't want this book to end. Because no only did Nola and Emily write a truly awesome romance filled with so much sexual tension you were ready to just scream, 'Screw it! Kill me already I just need you NOW!!!!!!!"

Because by the time Nola and Emily do thicken the plot--you would die for poor Asher! I say 'poor' Asher, like he's a shriveled up man-child or something. I should be more specific. He is built like a cage fighter, can kill you with sex, and secretly has a heart of gold--hopelessly tormented by what he did to the first love of his life at age sixteen.

You all with me?

On the same page?

Good, because you MUST READ THIS BOOK! It isn't out yet though--hey! Don't kill the messenger I was told to write this review NOW!

And I secretly love to tease my followers with good books that ain't available yet.

If you haven't experienced the magnificence that is Nola and Emily yet, you probably should--because this bundle of paranormal romance was totally worth the day I spent reading it!

Through her kiss I’d become more a man than a monster, and now I’d become more than merely a man.

Aria and Asher

Strong pull. Sexual frustration at its highest. A constant game of cat and mouse. The desire to be a normal lover for once in his life. Her craving to become one with this man.

Even though the plot may be considered fairly predictable, there is a very interesting twist and the language more than makes up to it. There was a distinct flowing of the words that fully described the anguish of the unfullfilled passion, Asher's need to love like he never could before and Aria's need to feel like she belongs to the man who is giving her everything.

The chemistry is explosive and the paranormal element is kept to a minimum. It all comes down to finding one's mate, finding the love that transcends true or fictional curses. Light banter and actual spark and connection make this story very enjoyable and captivating. After the tragedies that have marked them both, the result is very soothing and satisfying.

She was perfect, and she was mine, and I was nothing but hers.

Ok so this book is one of those you keep wanting to pick back up to find out what will happen. It's like you know something has to give. Either it's all gonna fall apart or something magical has to happen. Well in between all of my wishing and wanting I fell in love with this couple. Such heartbreaking pasts and even though their love seemed at times almost hopeless this author found a way to bring humor and hotness to a tragic romance. I really enjoyed it and loved how it progressed and didn't just end with a sudden quick fix. Give this one a chance if you need a good PNR fix but get ready for some pretty deep feelings thrown in.

I love PNR and although I favor werewolves and vampires, I will give most anything a try. Wild Hyacinthe was different in that it dealt with an incubus male suffering from his grim reality of killing his bed partners after having sex with them.

There are many PNR's about incubui and succubui but I haven't read any of them so this was new ground for me. I did like the book in general and found the premise to be engaging.

Asher Chain is a young billionaire cursed with being an incubus. His other-worldly tendencies require him to have sex every 6 months to feed his incubui needs before the beast within him takes over. An act that would normally be extremely gratifying has become horrendous to him because once he climaxes and finishes, he inadvertently takes his partners soul leaving them dead.

But were he to avoid sex in general he would threaten himself and give the beast a means to fully take over thus becoming a sex-craved murdering being, a fully realized incubus. By seducing and claiming a victim once every 6 months he keeps the beast at bay, but at the price of endless guilt and remorse.

He stays away from women, using extreme fitness to ward off his insatiable desires, but that all gets put in jeopardy the day he meets Aria Hyacinthe.
Aria is a young woman living out of her car. She harbors a difficult past and grim future living off meager funds to keep herself alive.

A chance meeting between her and Asher propels these two into a passion-filled yet highly restrained relationship. Asher can't stay away from Aria. He desires her desperately but knows the cost of submitting to his basest needs.

Aria, though at first brushing Asher off, becomes enamored by him and begins to feel the pull of the risng need between them. She becomes sex craved around him and desperately tries to charm him into bed completely oblivious to the risks to her life.

A good chunk of this book was devoted to the constant push and pull between Aria and Asher. Aria becomes completely brazen and at first I couldn't understand her dramatic shift in personality. When we first meet her she is shy and lonely, insecure and not sure of herself at all. Being very inexperienced sexually, she turns into this sex kitten which left me very confused and embarassed by her behavior.

Later however everything begins to make sense and I saw that she too was being propelled by something she couldn't understand. Asher suffers a great deal during her constant attempts to bed him. It's not because he doesn't want her, he does, BADLY, but he's unwilling to share his secret, scared to frighten her away, or lose her to the beast within.

Things come to a head of course but surprisingly so, for him and Aria. I won't say more about that because it would completely ruin the book and the big reveal, but I was pleased by how everything turned out.

I do have to say that I couldn't quite connect with either character. I felt Asher's pain and remorse he suffered daily, but he never came across as an alpha character, something almost intrinsically assumed in the book. Yes, he had this debilitating tendency that robbed him of everyday pleasures, but he sometimes appeared weak and pushover-ish.

His twin sister, Gypsy, was his rock. She suffered through with him but always had his back, taking care to cover up the bodies after he took his pleasure and just being there for him unconditionally. But she came across as the alpha female, often taking charge and berating him for his decisions concerning Aria. She was a no-nonsense type of girl who didn't suffer the same fate as her brother, but I wish Asher was a stronger character like her.

And although I didn't mind Aria in general, she sometimes came across as whiny and extremely pushy. I get some of that was in a large part connected to her own revelation, but there were times I wanted to smack her and tell her to grow some dignity. It all made sense in the end, so me feeling this way reduced dramatically but that's how I felt.

Like I said, I liked the ending, it was sweet and very deserving for both Aria and Asher. I also sense there might be a follow up. I say this because although the romantic relationship was resolved, including for the most part, the challenges facing Aria and Asher, it felt like there were loose ends. Some significant new characters were introduced at the end and then there's the pending possible story with Gypsy. She needs a man and a new focus in life.

All in all, A decent book with a fresh premise, for me anyway.

Wild Hyacinthe was a nice quick read. I enjoyed the story though it was a bit predictable. The synopsis does a good job of telling you what the story is about so I won't reiterate.

I liked the characters and I loved Aria and Asher's relationship. This is what was predictable though because that was not normal behavior for a girl like Aria. The scenes where nice and steamy. I liked seeing Asher and Gypsy together it made the story feel more homey. Even though Gypsy is an odd one, I wanted to see her more to get to know her. I also like the characters that showed up at the end of the story. That is definitely something I would like to know more about. There were a few things that I kept hoping would get answered but they didn't and that was more information on Asher's family and Aria's mother. Certain things happened that shouldn't have as far as what was told unless both parents are like them.

I'm not sure if this is a series but I wouldn't mind reading one more book to see what happens next with the rest of the family.

Favorite Lines “My urges boiled. The predatory nature of my being lurked just beneath my personality, waiting for me to slip up and lose control. The incubus part of me needed to be charged, lest I physically weaken until that side of my soul took over and forced me to fuck and kill.”

“I’d never known love, save for the love of my sister and my parents and an old love that died too quickly for me to really taste—and I probably never would know any other kind. An incubus was a creature of passion and hate, not love, and thus so was I.”

“You don’t spend much. And you have a penis. Penises earn more income than vaginas.”

“You’ll love the cabin, Aria . . . And after you’re dead, I’ll hate the place more than I hate the demon that I am, the incubus that demands your life.”

“Aria, you can fucking Velcro yourself to me. Please do make me stuck with you.”

“We can’t change anything in the past. All we can do now is take comfort in each other, and the truth that we never need to go back to our dark places.”

“Through her kiss I’d become more a man than a monster, and now I’d become more than merely a man. I belonged to her, and she to me, and the horror of my past dissolved on her kiss like the sweetest of sugars as my new life broke through the storm clouds of my past and showered me with love, light, and hope.”

Asher is an incubus who hates his monster half. He hates not being able to live a normal life, hates not being able to get close to anyone, hates being a burden to his amazing sister. He really just hates himself. He believes he is destined to be alone and a murderer. It’s so emotional and depressing. In walks Aria. Asher sees her and everything stops. She doesn’t fall all over him like other women. She calls him out on everything. It’s so amusing to watch them together.
Then things start to get a lot heated and yummuy! She not only is falling for him but, wants him more than anything. She’s on fire for him and he won’t give it up to him, no matter what she tries he won’t be with her. He keeps giving her all these reasons and she can’t understand any of it.
Asher finally has hope! When he has some fun with Aria he gets recharged. He can breathe some energy inside from just the little time with her. Will it be enough!?!?
I love this story! It was an emotional rollercoaster that I was glad to have been along for the ride. Watching Asher fight his nature and try for something more was great. I adored Gypsy! She loves and protects her brother with a fierceness that amazes me. Aria has the most amazing heart and the things she has been with would break anyone but, not her she will not let it define her she embraces herself, her nature, and not Asher.
I’m dying to know what happens next and after contacting one of the amazing authors she has assured me there will be a book 2! WOO HOO! i want to scream from this post what happens but you know me I won’t BUT OMG ITS SO GOOD!! You will love it!

Its a hard knock life for a incubus/succubus. Asher sure was like a broken and beaten dog. You wanted to take him home, feed him, snuggle him and tell him everything will be better now. Aria was tough and looking for something she had no idea she needed to survive. She was like that friend you loved and hated at the same time, you know because she is everything (minus the succubus part) you wish you could be. Strong, sexy, smart, full of heart and fun. I liked how these two seemed to challenge and aggravate each other. If it wasn't for the fact that we all know what they need to survive I might say there was a little too kuch. I really wish that Gypsy gets her turn for a book even if this isn't going to be a series because I really liked her as a secondary character. I mean she is the other half of Asher so it seems right especially since we know she is normal and he is not.

"I wasn't most men, and this moment meant I was once again a killer and the worst type of monster. I didn't want this life of murder for survival. I don't want this curse." -Asher

A love story that was destined to fail since the very beginning. With a mixture of angst, mystery, and romance, this book does not fail to entertain. After reading the synopsis for this book I was intrigued to find out how a relationship with an incubus would work since it seems nearly impossible. I loved the fact that this book was duel POV. As most books are in a female's perspective, its always refreshing when you're given a male's POV. Especially for this book, it felt very necessary as it provided great insight into Asher's inner struggle throughout his relationship with Aria. I really enjoyed learning about both of their pasts and following them on their journey of falling in love. Wild Hyacinthe is the story of a guy who falls in a love with a girl he can never truly have and a girl whose first experience of falling love may be her last.

"I hated my own dishonesty, but Asher couldn't know the true things that tortured me inside, the emotions I tried to leave behind at home. It was all too ugly." -Aria

ARIA

A homeless girl who's on a mission to see the world. Coming from an isolated and sad past of living with her mother, Aria never lived life on her own terms. Her selflessness and caring nature was evident as the needs of others always came before her own. She never really had choice until she was of age and finally decided it was time to take back her life. And thus began her journey of self discovery. A journey that would change her life forever in more ways than one. We first meet Aria when she's at a bar and sees Asher for the very first time. Right away she dismisses the thought of ever being with him as he's well known rich playboy and she's just an edgy homeless girl who lives in her car. That night, although he seems to be interested in her, she rejects him and runs away (literally) thinking it'll be the last time she'll ever see him. But destiny had other plans. When she starts her new job as waitress at a cafe, she ends up serving none other than Asher. Unfortunately for her he's a regular there so seeing him again was inevitable. As Asher keeps coming back day after day and finds ways to get closer to her, the shield she put up starts to crack and it only continues to break when he offers her a room at his place to stay. The more time she spent with him, the more she wanted more of him and soon instead of her being the prey, she became the predator. His resistance of taking things further only makes her try harder. The self conscience girl was gone and a new confident sensual woman was born. Soon the tension between the two becomes too much and leads to a life changing event. In the end, not only does she discover who her birth father is but also finds out there was a vital part of herself that she never knew existed.

"My whole world was flipping upside down, my goals switching direction at a rate so fast I could hardly keep up, and everything pointed to Asher." -Aria

"I wanted to hear her laugh and see her smile up close. She could laugh at me all day for being an idiot and I still wouldn't grow angry with her. Irritated by her rejection, sure. Defeated and ready to give up? Hell, no." -Asher

ASHER

An incubus whose life was filled with loneliness and self hate. Asher never allowed himself get close to anyone. Especially the women he slept with. Love to him was an impossibility that he came to accept, knowing it would only lead to tragedy. His first victim was someone he truly cared about and loved so in order to prevent the pain that came from that event, relationships with women were off limits. That is until he met Aria. He was first intrigued by the way she carried herself. He was so used to seeing these posh women with their high heels, manicured nails, and designer clothing that when he saw her with her multiple ear piercings, neon socks, and blue streaked hair, he couldn't help but notice her. From the first meeting at the bar, he couldn't stop thinking about her and as he got to know her more, she was all he thought about. Every day he couldn't wait to see her at the cafe and spend time with her. Once he found out about her living conditions, offering her a place to stay was a no brainer as by that point he had already become protective of her. He was at a crossroads. He knew the danger that would come from getting too close to her but as his feelings for her grew he couldn't help but risk it all for her. She became his shot at happiness and his only hope of finally being able to have the love he's always craved but never thought he deserved. Despite his inner hunger to consume her soul, he resisted with all his might every time she tempted him but knew that one day he wouldn't be able to. Her death would be the end of him; he couldn't fathom living without her. Little did he know that just like everyone else, incubi can have a happily ever after too.

"Through her kiss I'd become more a man than a monster, and now I'd become more than merely a man. I belonged to her." -Asher

Overall, Wild Hyacinthe was an intriguing read that will make you want to trade places with Aria so you too can have a little taste of Asher. I'm really hoping that there is a sequel because I would love to see whats next for these two. I'm also wondering where Asher got the incubus from since its genetic and what happened to Aria's siblings. This is the first incubus read I've ever read and one that I don't regret taking a chance on. I would recommend this book to paranormal romance book lovers who enjoy a good spicy read.

Nothing like starting out with a bang in the literal sense, as this story begins with hard-bodied perfection Asher Chain doing what he does best…pleasing a woman only to take her life moments later. Well, technically it’s the incubus living inside him that does the dirty work after Asher’s had his fun, but it doesn’t make him feel any less guilty. It’s a seemingly endless cycle of pleasure and death for both him and his devoted sister who helps with the aftermath, and it was really starting to get to him. What he needed was a break from the cycle, to somehow avoid the urge that he couldn’t stop…and cue Aria Hyacinthe!

Aria definitely wasn’t your typical beguiling heroine. She’s tattooed, blue-haired, and strong-willed, and she’s not about to think herself worthy of a guy like Asher. Sure, she wants a hot night of sex to get her mind off of her crappy life living in her car, but seriously?! Rich and gorgeous don’t come close to where she’s aiming, but somehow she’s caught his eye and he’s not turning away.

The idea that Asher would see someone like Aria across the room and just stop in his tracks was a bit hard to swallow, but I liked that she wasn’t perfect or soft and sweet. She’d had a pretty rough life and was struggling to make something more of her future little by little. Asher just kind of helped that along with all those extra millions he had lying around to spend on her! He was in full-on pursuit mode, which didn’t really go with his track record of avoiding friendships thanks to his whole ‘death by sex’ situation. There’s plenty of cat-and-mouse foreplay to keep readers happy, though, and the twist that makes it all come together was pretty cool. Overall, though their relationship came across as a bit artificial at times, I still really enjoyed the storyline and the characters enough to keep flipping pages!

Quotes:

If I didn’t do it, he would do it for me—the incubus, the monster I loathed, always looming over my shoulder and threatening to dominate my body in the worst way for the rest of my life. I couldn’t let him have control. ~Loc 29

He cracked a grin at me and shrugged. “Hi.”
I gulped. Hi? Hi from lips on the body of a Greek god? ~Loc 134

“No, I …” I trailed off. What could I say: I’m just not used to giant dicks in expensive towels on perfect men because I’m totally pathetic? Not likely to get me a positive reaction. “Isn’t that morning condition supposed to go away after awhile?”

He laughed: a boyish, carefree sound that was so infectious I smiled too. “Yeah,” he said, “morning wood goes away. If the cause of the wood is actually morning. If I’ve got a boner because there’s a sexy woman bringing me coffee in my apartment wearing nothing but my shirt and her panties, it’s not going to disappear just like that.” He snapped his fingers. ~Loc 913

I have a weak spot for books with incubi as part of the paranormal. When I see that a novella has one… I cannot resist it… I feel the need to read it.

Wild Hyacinthe is a beautifully well written paranormal romance book. It has everything it should have: sexy cover, catching title, interesting ideas, fantastic characters and awesome plot.

Aria is a blue haired girl with a dark past, a hatred of kittens who would love to visit the whole world… but she has no means to do this unless she works hard and perhaps with a little help from the guy she meets at the disco who looks at her as she were eatable. She is a girl of a kind, unique . She knows what she wants and isn’t afraid to get it. I really liked her.

“Kittens.”
He blinked. “What?”
“Kittens piss me off.”
[…]
“They’re so fucking cocky. You prioritize them, you care for them, and then they’re all, ‘clean up my feces and I’ll pretend to catch mice for you, but really I’ll just lie around meowing and wrecking shit.’”

Wild Hyacinthe is full of great ideas that I’d love to try, one of them would be:

“You want to travel?” Excitement lit his eyes.
I nodded. “Everywhere. I want to visit every country and soak in the water of their lakes, their oceans. I want to collect a shot glass from each place and then whenever I’m sitting in a campground by myself, I can do a shot from Italy, and be there again in spirit.”

Asher is a personal trainer with a secret behind his shoulders that his twin sister Gypsy helps him cover. He is absurdly rich, loves fast cars, all the women throw themselves at his feet but not because he’s hot, sexy, famous and rich… no it’s all because of his secret. Ok. Being hot as hell, charming and rich also helps. But he doesn’t care about all of that… the only thing he cares is not harming the girl he’s falling in love with and the wellbeing of his sister. He would do anything to protect them. Anything .

“No matter how adamantly I fight against the monster within my soul, I’m terrified I’m going to lose.”

Gypsy also hides something. She is cold but protective, she investigates and calculates all the possibilities, helps her twin however she cans, and she does the impossible for him.

If you want to know what happens between A&A (Aria and Asher) read the book! You will find yourself feeling happy, curious, crying, giggling and laughing with the characters of Wild Hyacinthe.

Oh and I almost forgot! This book is steaming hot!

Hello incubus as hero, remember?

So prepare for some sexy and steaming scenes full of sweet and passionate kisses among other snuggly sexiness!

The end is left open and I think there will be a second book.

I received this ARC from the authors thru the group LoP in exchange for an honest review.

Lately I've been on a New Adult kick as far as my reading habits are concerned. But when I was offered an ARC of Wild Hyacinthe for an honest review, I couldn't refuse. PNR is my absolute favorite genre as it provides the ultimate escape into a world of fantasy. I am so glad that this was my re-entry point into the PNR world because it was one hell of a "welcome back."

I absolutely LOVED Asher, and not just because he's a filthy rich super sexy incubus, but because of the man he is underneath it all. His everyday struggles are what draw you into him. Mostly because he's not embracing his role as an incubus, he's fighting it with everything he has & keeping track of each kill with a physical reminder. He is completely guilt ridden and not at all like the "villain" you may have expected. Unfortunately for him, the one thing he wants the most is the only thing he can't have, as his past history has proven. I was especially interested in the chapters told from his POV, as his story was more intriguing.

I struggled a bit with Aria's character, feeling she was a bit inconsistent in her thoughts and actions, and downright annoying at times. Or maybe just desperate, that's probably a more fitting word. But I held out on my final judgement until the very end because I had an idea of where I hoped the story was going, so I wanted to hold off on forming my opinion. And I'm so glad I did. Getting a little more insight into Aria's past was interesting and helped me to connect with her a little more.

The suspense of will they or won't they was pretty intense and kept me on the edge of my seat, thinking each time they got too close was going to be it! Who knew that not having sex could be so sexy?! The big question here is how can they possibly have any kind of relationship without intimacy? With the possibility of death looming so closely? A simple kiss or touch taken too far could have dire consequences. Asher is against doing anything that will hurt her, but Aria is as stubborn as they come and intent on sealing the deal, so to speak. The anticipation alone will keep you hooked on this awesome story!

While I thoroughly enjoyed reading Wild Hyacinthe, I felt like there were some questions left unanswered. It's nothing too obvious or major, just a couple things I would've liked to know a little more about. I don't feel it detracts from the story at all and you may not even have the same questions by the time you're done. However, I do know that we need a follow up book about Gypsy finding love! She deserves it! I would love to know more about her and her life. She seems very rigid and emotionless, I just know there has to be a story hidden in there somewhere! *hint hint*

I got a copy of this book from LoP in exchange of an honest review

Nola Sarina and Emily Faith have come up with an intriguing story, one that hooks you from the very beginning. It's humourous and fun to read. But despite it all, the book is fairly predictable, and sometimes even gets on your nerves with all the hullabaloo about sex.

Asher is a ridiculously handsome businessman who has no shortage of women. But he is also an incubus, which means he tempts and seduces any woman who comes his way whether he wants it or not. The death of the women he kills is inevitable. Asher lives with the guilt of the women he killed, in order to survive himself. When he meets the tattooed, girl with blue-streaked hair, he wants nothing more than to befriend her and no matter however much he wishes make sure, he keeps his distance and keeps her alive.

Aria Hyacinth has left her home and the demons that plagued her home back in the past. But her terrors don't stay contained in the past. Living in a car and working as a waitress has attracted the attention the gorgeous Asher, a man who she dared not dream about. Aria never thought, she'll ever have anything to do with a man like Asher, but since the moment she meets him, she can't stop thinking about him.

After an accident, Asher offers Aria a safe have. At his loft. Asher is adamant to keep his distance, lest he be the death of her. Whereas Aria finds it rather difficult to curb her desire and attraction towards Asher. And living in close proximity to him, only amplifies that attraction.

Overall, Wild Hyacinth is a good book, but fairly predictable. You figure pretty early on what is going to happen. Well, atleast i did. There is also this constant talk of sex, which after a point of time just irritated me. Aria kept trying to convince Asher to have sex with her, and , Asher constantly tried to say no. This goes on and on for a few chapters. Finally when Asher and Aria find out the truth about themselves and each other, they manage to hold on and get to their HEA.

Asher's sister, Gypsy was a rather cold and distant woman, but when it came to her brother, she was protective, caring and loving. In quite a few places you find that she is unable to understand Asher, but no matter what, she is always there for him and loves him more than anything in the world.

An overall decent read, but I feel, it could have been better.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review (Lovers of Paranormal).

I really enjoyed this book! It was a good mix of feelings and emotions. It had romance, a bit of danger, darkness, sweetness and a lot of hot and steam.
I liked the two main characters, Aria and Asher, though not completely. And in asher's case, not from the start. I didn't like him in the beginning. He seemed the an annoying spoiled brat. There were also times when Asher's dark side scared and freaked me out a little. And there were times I wanted to slap Aria, hard, for she was annoying and made me angry when kept pushing Asher's limits. God, girl, chill out! You're making it hard for him to not kill you! He's already on the verge of loosing it, don't make it worse!
She wouldn't listen to me or to him, though.
I must admit, I liked much more the steamy making-out sessions, where they tried to drive each other crazy with need, than the actual sex scenes when they finally got it over with. I don't know why, really, I can't understand. But it seemed there was something missing, at least for me. I found those making-out scenes hotter and more emotional. That might be me who's f@cked up in the head, though.
Anyway, I liked the story, and I was hooked from the beginning and couldn't get myself to stop reading. Though at some point I really had to.
I don't know what to say or think about Gypsy, Asher's twin sister, but I know i'm curious to know her better, and I'd like to read a book about her finally finding a man to love and who loves her. I'd like to be in her head. I'm that curious, yeah. Although she kind of scares me and I might not like what's in her head (she seems even darker and reckless than Asher), I really curious to know her better.
The ending was predictable, at least for me. I knew there would be a way for them to be together without killing her. And I suspected she was a succubus or, at the very least, immune to his powers because of her genetics or something.
The very ending was cute and sweet. I never thought he had this sweet side in him. He was hot AND sweet! Yummy!
Recommended, if you want a steamy, dark romance to warm your evenings!
Showing 3 stars, but actually 3.5

Wild Hyacinth was such an amazing read for me. I started it mid-morning and finished it by dinner time. Initially we meet Asher (hot name by the way) who is an incubus. He is living a life that he wishes on no other human. He was the lucky twin, or unlucky to be cursed with this. At a time in his life when he should of been thinking of graduating high school, moving on to college, enjoying his high school sweetheart, he can't as he has sucked the life right out of her, Literally. Move ahead several years and he has managed to control his needs to about every six months, but can never have a meaningful relationship, never more than a one night stand.

Next we meet Aria, bold and unable to censor her thoughts before they come tumbling out of her mouth. The physical description leaves nothing to the imagination and I love that like her personality she has hair to match, black with blue bangs. She is running from a past that she won't escape, not because she cannot overcome it, but because she really does not know the truth of it. She is living out of her car, looking for a one night stand. Across the bar is none other than Asher.

Now enough of the spoilers, I have really only given you a little bit. I am a sucker for a good chase and the build up to the intimate encounter. I love that Nola has written such an addictive book bringing two very unlikely characters together and making them sort out their crap. I loved the addition of Gypsy to the story and how she is forever her brother's savior but also that she sees the writing on the wall for him. Nola has not given me the cliffhanger I normally see at the end of the book which makes me wonder if there will be a book two or not, but if not it is a great stand alone. I do think that it could be explored to have more in this as a series with all the characters added at the end. Very sexy read and very fulfilling to my imagination!

Star Rating: 4 stars

Heat Rating: HOT!

A long time ago, I used to read a LOT of paranormal romance books, but then tastes changed and now I am really selective about which books I read in this genre. I read Gilded Destiny by Nola Sarina (here is my review) a few months back I really enjoyed how she put different twists into this genre and enjoyed her writing style immensely. When I had the opportunity to read another story by Nola Sarina, co-authored with Emily Faith, I couldn't pass it up I had to try Wild Hyacinthe and I am glad I did.

Wild Hyacinthe was a surprisingly emotional book, really tapping into the struggles of how Asher had to cope with his "beast" inside, or his incubus needs. The characters in this book were struggling through life, just trying to make it from one day to the next and the reader really feels emotionally connected to these two. Aria and Asher are quite the pair and their journey was a fascinating read! (You have to read the book to find out why)

Nola Sarina and Emily Faith created a dramatic, emotional and intense story that really sucks you in and makes you root for the impossible. Aria and Asher's story, while not conventional, makes for a great read. You will be frustrated, heartbroken, shocked and satisfied with how it all plays out. The ending left lots of options open with other characters, so I am curious if this will be a series and I will be waiting in line to see what these two come up with next! (I am really curious about the sister, Gypsy).

If you like a bit of the supernatural in your reading then I recommend you snatch up Wild Hyacinthe today and get started!

Talk about jumping back into the PNR world with a splash! This was just what I needed.

We met Asher on page one as he sucks the life right out of a woman. Then sit back and watch as he adds her to his tattooed list of victims. He has this down to a science. With the help of his twin sister, no one will ever be the wiser as to what really killed her.

Born an incubus and having killed for the first time at age sixteen, Asher is now a man coming to grips with the fact he will never be able to have what most people have: love and a relationship that will last after sex, but when he meets Aria he decides that he needs to try.

Aria, homeless and living in her car, just wants a night to forget all her troubles. When she makes eye contact with one of the area’s most popular eligible bachelors, she flees - only he follows, making Aria feel something she has never felt with anyone before. Her romance books didn’t prepare her for this.

What happens next is a cat and mouse game of Asher trying to survive while not killing Aria and Aria feeling like she will die if she doesn’t have Asher, prompting her to act in ways she hadn’t before. Oh, and did I mention she’s a virgin? Yeah.

I really liked these two and the story, however I did feel like I wanted more back story. I wanted to know why the twins were never told of their incubus probabilities. I also wanted more info on Asher’s twin as well; she was very intriguing.

Wild Hyacinthe made for a nice afternoon read and if there are more books, I’ll continue with the series :)

*** ARC exchanged for review with group LOP ***

Every time i read a book with the group LOP i say this book is different and it is so refreshing. This book deals with incubus and succubus-es if you are like me and im sure there are some who are i was like 'is that the thing that kills with sex?' So of course i went to google and looked it up and yes they kill with sex. Ok, so how hot is that? I hope your last lay is a good one ha ha because if i had to die it better be worth it and Asher is the kind of man that might make it worth it in a fictional world :).

So Aria comes along and she is broke i mean a step away from homeless on a bridge broke when our sexy Asher comes along and finds an interest in her. Of course he is rich .... CHA CHING! What girl in her right mind would turn down a hot as hell ripped billionaire? I am thinking NONE that how many. So of course Aria cannot stay away for long right.

So here are my cons because nothing is perfect right...
1. Aria begged for it... Really im not begging for any man period. But in all fairness we find out why at the end but still reading it was annoying.
2. I really wanted to warm up more to Gypsy.
3. I want more... What happens with her family? I mean the end is crazy and you cant leave me guessing.... Does Gypsy find anyone?

So my cons list is short as you can see.... so go read why are you still reading this?!?!

Happy Reading :)

WILD HYACINTHE

By Nola Sarina & Emily Faith

release date 4th November 2013

Asher Chain is an incubus he goes through life not wanting to get close to anyone because when the beast needs to feed he ends up killing his sexual partner. As he struggles with the guilt his twin sister Gypsy helps him as much as she can.

He then meets Aria she is a waitress living in her car and Asher offers her a place to stay, he is very attracted to her but refuses to sleep with her in case he kills her.

This is an original supernatural and romantic read, I really enjoyed reading it and learning about the new breed that is the incubus.

I found Asher to be a really sexy character with a little danger added to him but because he felt so bad about his past I saw another side to him. Gypsy is a fantastic character too and what she has done in the past to protect her brother gives you an idea of how loyal she it and how close they are. I really liked Aria too I did feel a little sorry for her and I want her to be with Asher and to be happy!

I received an Arc copy from the authors in exchange for an honest review.

I am giving Wild Hyacinthe 5 stars for Amazon & 4 for Goodreads

*I received this book from LOP for free in exchange for my honest review*

Let me first say, holy smokes this book was amazing I was hooked from the start. We follow Asher who with his first sexual encounter learns that he is an incubus when his first girlfriend/love is killed. From that point on Asher lives a jaded life and fights the incubus that lurks with in his soul. Only taking lives when the incubus demands it, and all the while he struggles with the death of each victim he takes. He struggles so much that he strays away from people to prevent killing that is until he meets Aria. From the start he becomes addicted to Aria, and will not allow her to leave his side. Fighting his and the incubus's instincts to take her life because he is falling in love with her. Aria too feels an magnetism to Asher and behaves in ways not typical to her. Through out this story you can feel their love for each other grow and take shape. Truly I was on the edge of my seat when I got to the ending. I would love to read more about Asher and Aria's life together and how everything unfolds. Great story, loved it.

I was given this ARC courtesy of the LoP Read 2 Review

I give the book 2 and a half stars.

I was drawn in in the beginning of the book. The synopsis and opening scene had me very intrigued. Sadly, I lost interest every time I had to read Aria's point of view. Idk why, but her POV just left me uninterested and NOT wanting more.
SPOILER AHEAD!! TURN BACK IF YOU DON'T WANT THE BOOK RUINED.

Anyway it just fell flat for me through the book, but it wasn't awful.

I am normally not one to like Paranormal Romance. I read and loved The Dark Duet Series so I figured I would give this a try and I was pleasantly surprised. I give this 5 "paranormal newbie" stars

What kind of lonely life it must be for Incubus Asher Chain. He has Incubus needs make it impossible to grow close to another. He is rich, successful and HOT! He meets his women, shows them pleasure and then takes their lives. That is until he meets Aria. He offers her a place to stay knowing it could turn up very deadly for Aria, for she knows nothing of the man that's hiding inside.

Aria was an easy character to relate too once she opened up about her past. Aria can not hide the sexual desires she feels for Asher. Living above his gym only intensifies her want and need for him.

To watch Asher struggle to do the right thing, cry for him when he gave into the Incubus was a twisting tale that I really enjoyed. I do hope other stories develope for the other characters. Congratulations Nola Sarina, you have converted me into a Paranormal fan and I will be watching for more of your writings.

I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review, But please note I bought it right after lol

Incubus Asher Chain seduces every woman he meets whether he wants to or not, and refuses to let anyone grow close to him. Until the alluring, tattooed waitress Aria Hyacinthe admits she’s been living in her car. Enthralled by her unusual beauty - and terrified he’ll succumb to his deadly, incubus needs - Asher offers her a place to stay.

Wild Hyacinthe is a thrilling and provocative story of a sexy Incubus, Asher and the woman Aria who tempts him on a level that has Asher fighting to save her life by not giving into the Incubus’s need to have her. I was captivated by the struggle Asher faces when trying not fall for Aria but she breaks down his walls and their love begins to be all consuming. The characters show depth and I recommend this read for the paranormal lover who doesn’t mind her Main man to be a bit brooding and lethally sexy and the heroine to be strong and utterly tempting.

I don't normally read this genre of book- if you follow my Facebook page www.facebook.com/MyFictionalBoyfriend then you know that I read and recommend mostly romance and erotica, not much Paranormal but occassionally I do need a good vampire or werewolf to make me happy. In this instance it was the hot incubus Asher Chain. And boy was he hot! This story made you love him for hating who he was, hate him for being what he did, cry for him for not wanting to hurt anyone else with his inner demon and be happy for him getting what he needs in the end. It was a great book- I enjoyed it very much. <3 Kellie

Having read Nola Sarina's Vesper #1 & #2 books, I was primed to like Wild Hyacinthe. Nola and Emily Faith didn't disappoint me. I loved both Aria, the spunky heroine, and the hero, Asher-especially Asher, he's just too tragically good NOT to love. I sincerely hope to get to know some of the other characters introduced in Wild Hyacinthe in the near future (HINT HINT). I'd recommend this book to anyone who likes a star-crossed lovers theme or anyone who just likes a sizzling hot read.
