★★★★! The Student, part 3 of 4. The continuation of the taboo BDSM relationship between commanding, enigmatic & very sexy Dom professor and his very obedient pupil!
The Professor series follows MBA student, Sabrina Carson in her secret BDSM relationship with her professor, Damien Areleon. With both experienced and very compatible, their relationship has been developing quickly!
The Widow, part 3 picks up right after part 2. Damien and Sabrina’s relationship is evolving and things were going splendidly until the scorned villain steps in and throws everything off. Soon they find themselves in a race against time, trying to decipher who is behind it and why?
The added suspense combined with their already steamy BDSM relationships makes for an exciting and captivating read! Damien Areleon/28 years/Professor - Human Sexuality/dark hair/light blue eyes/Dom.
Six words to describe Damien Areleon, aka The Professor, Master, and Sir: Commanding, enigmatic, closed-off, skilled, strict and charismatic. Sabrina Carson/~22 years/MBA student/blond hair/brown eyes/Sub.
Five words to describe Sabrina Carson aka My student and My pupil: Smart, focused, compliant, determined and insightful.
Part 3 also ended abruptly, but no worries just jump right over to part 4, The Wife for the conclusion of their story.
This has turned out to be an excellent read for me. And the added suspense in part 3 and 4 is a bonus! The dialogue has felt stilted at times, but it might be more tied into the pet names used in their Dom-Sub relationship.
Interesting plot! Captivating Dom hero! Scorching sex! A fast-paced, erotic and feel-good read!

Would I recommend this series: Yes. Would I re-read this series: Maybe later. Would I read future books by this author: Yes.
This has quickly become one of my favorite series! Each book is a novella but Josie has managed to pack so much story into each one. The heat and the connection between Damien and Sabrina is just as strong in this 3rd isntallment as it was in the first. Can't wait for the final one to be released! Hopefully VERY SOON. I'll be downloading it as soon as it's available. I'm a little sad too that that book 4 will likely be the end of Damien and Sabrina's story.. I've enjoyed them so much!
Josie Leigh has held me spellbound again with her third novella in the Professor Series, The Widow, which might aptly be named, The Cougar, The Witch, etc. The professor and his student have deepened their relationship, and I for one, happily see Sabrina/Beth coming into her own, showing some assertive strength when needed. Damien, the pillar of control, has faced her father, and been accepted as Beth’s boyfriend, kind of cute how Ms. Leigh portrayed that side of Damien. Yes, well-written erotica can have cute moments!
Let’s talk Celeste, actually, let’s boil some oil for her antics trying to save her scorned and botoxed self. Scratch that. Let’s talk Josie Leigh and terrific gift with creating “dirty little tales” that blend some erotica with love, tension, unrest and a nasty little plot to “out” a wonderfully matched couple. How she does this in so few words is beyond me, but she drew me in immediately, chained me to my Kindle and took me into the world she has so deftly created. Her characters have substance, personalities and with each book in the series, they have grown even more dimensional and life-like. Her style is crisp without being coarse or dark and angst-filled! And yes, the steamy scenes are awesome, almost dream-like in their quality. Nothing “dirty” about them!
I was provided a review copy by Ms. Leigh in exchange for my honest opinion. (Lucky me!) Seriously, this is a wonderful series and I hate that the next book is the end. If you think you might like to try some well-written erotica, I think this a great series to start with!

I really wanted to like this series. It had a lot of the elements that I am currently enjoying in a steamy book! The one major aspect of the book and this series that I haven't been able to enjoy is the lack of connection I feel towards these characters. The Widow had a lot of promise, but it took my awhile to get through it. The premise was great, and I liked how we got to learn more about Damien and Sabrina in book 3. BUT I quickly finished this up to have it finished and I don't know if I'm going to pick upThe Wife.
There's a gradually unfurling of information here, but each time something new came to light it was just annoying. Too OTT, ridiculous and annoying. The villain is too silly.
Another great installment! I truly adore this great novella series! It has everything I look for in a book...interesting plot, intriguing characters and smoking hot sex scenes! The end of this one leaves a pretty big cliffhanger but luckily we don't have to wait months and months for the conclusion because "The Wife" is scheduled to be out sometime in September (Yippee!!). Anyway, The Widow delves deeper into the warped mind of Celeste and gives you a little of her back ground (which kinda made me hate her even more..LOL!) Damien and Sabrina are still going strong and their relationship is progressing beautifully. I was a little scared to read this one because I thought something might happen (with Celeste) to break them apart...! I don't want to give anything away, but I'm dying for the last installment and pray September comes quickly!!
Another great installment of this series... This book had it all from great character development, fast moving pace story line and of course lots of hot intense steamy moments between Damien and Sabrina. Loving the relationship and development of Damien and Sabrina..their connection to each other is INTENSE. As with the previous books, The Widow leaves readers in another cliffhanger... Looking forward to reading the last installment of the series The Wife but at the same time I'm kind of sad to see the conclusion of Damien & Sabrina's love story..
Oh Celeste, how I loath thee...lol. This book was fantastic. The widow Celeste is proving to be more vindictive then I ever imagined. I want to jump into the book and smack her, lol. I adore Beth/ Sabrina and Damion. They are magical together!! Their scenes together make me swoon. Beware cliff hanger ending so be prepared to purchase The Wife following this novella cause if you are like me you will need to know what is going on. I adore this series. I am so glad it was recommended on Facebook.
I wasn't expecting to have this out until the end of the month! I hope you enjoy it.
My readers are telling me the end is brutal, so I apologize in advance for the cliffhanger, but The Wife will be the last book! And we learn so much more about Celeste in The Widow.
Love this series! Major props again to Josie for her first erotica series; she's knocking them out and they're definitely a short, hot read, guaranteed to get your pulse racing from the lovin'.
Hmmm....the second half of this one fell flat for me....it was confusing, boring and over-the-top. Will read the next and final book in this series---hope its more like the first two....
Of the books in the series, this is my least favorite so far. I think it probably had to do with the lack of due process in the tenure hearing (as well as the lack of believability). Tenure decisions are not made in a meeting - there are recommendations starting at the colleague level and continuing up the chain through Dean, Provost, President, Board of Trustees, etc. So, while I understand the desired plot, I got lost in the lack of realism. That being said, I am still enjoying this series, especially the relationship between Sabrina and Damian.
