Luckily, he got out when the getting was good. Then he became a world famous video pirate for 7 years and turned it into a world-class underground video store in Ybor City FL by the name of Video Mayhem. The next logical step was to get into the movie business. That's when Unearthed Films was born back in 2001.
With his savvy looks and reputation. Stephen took Unearthed Films into uncharted territory and became the most extreme DVD label in the US and can even be said, of the world. With releases like THE GUINEA PIG SERIES, AFTERMATH, SLAUGHTERED VOMIT DOLLS and producing such gore-tastic delights like PHILOSOPHY OF A KNIFE and SLOW TORTURE PUKE CHAMBER. Unearthed Films has been heralded as the hardest film company this side of Hell.
During all of that time, Stephen wrote screenplays and rewrites for independent companies while working hard on his memoir, HELLUCINATION.
Stephens fan base and connections in the horror industry and comic book world, have been shocked by his bold display and attitude for his newest novel. No one was ready for the president of Unearthed Films to step into the limelight and tell everyone he has met God, danced with the Devil and has been to Hell.
Neither did they know that, at one time... Stephens psychedelic conquest of this reality and into the next, would rival Hunter S Thompson and Ken Kesey's drug intake.
Stephen came back from the other side of this reality with fresh and invigorating tales that go beyond simple horror, psychology and theology. Even though HELLUCINATION took him ten years to write, his new novel is the 3rd of the way done and I have read it, in screenplay format and I have to say. It’s unlike anything I have ever read and I am really looking forward to the novel form. But yet… I read Hellucination and it made me question everything about me and scare the living Hell into me. I wasn’t expecting this from him, just as you won’t.
Steve asked me to write his biography because he's not into selling himself. I'm David Hood and I've known Steve for about ten years now. I'm his graphic designer and website developer. I have to tell you, when you’re with him and he tells you what happened to him. It gives you shivers because there is no hesitancy, no doubt what he went through. I saw him at an author panel at a convention last week and one of the moderators asked Stephen what his book was about.
The room was filled with over 50 people and he began telling them the truth of Hellucination, meeting God, being manipulated by the Devil, having drinks with self-proclaimed Antichrists and then being sent to Hell after his meeting with God and the room fell silent. And, when he was done... it stayed silent for over a minute until one of the others authors said... "Listen to the silence in this room. I have never heard it this quite, not even in church for this long."
Everyone laughed to make themselves at ease. I know it's on video because somebody was videotaping it. I'm going to have to find it because it’s very spooky. (Steve, I hope you keep this part in. It was so cool to watch you shock so many people in a room to dead silence. )

I loved Stephen Biro's first book
so much, the honesty, and the sincerity with which he writes, that I cannot wait to get my hands on
, and finish up with the 3rd book of the trilogy
.
Stephen, I hope you continue to write, because you have a gift, and I believe you have a lot more to say.
A more in-depth review will definitely follow as soon I am able to finish each book.

Here are some advanced reviews...
Powerful! There was more times, I had to stop reading because this was actually scaring the shi* out of me. It was like reading the Exorcist back in 1972 when everyone was freaking out over it... but that was 1972! It's 2013, were jaded, used to horror daily but this scared me completely. I wasn't expecting this... I loved Hellucination but I love this more! It's a totally different style and very powerful.

I see some grammer mistakes and needs a little clean up but DON'T change anything!!! This needs to be read by everyone and there is nothing out there like it. This book is absolutely one of a kind. I read it twice because it was unlike anything I've ever read and I wanted to process everything. I actually earmarked parts of the book, namely the part where the devil says how he has all the televangelists under his power and gives reasons why. Ha! Couldn't agree more. Good job Stephen! Looking forward to reading more from you!

Dialogue With The Devil is a book I've been having a hard time deciding how I feel about it. Though the book is a follow up to Stephen's first book Hellucination, it would be unfair to really compare the two and for the sake of this review I'll judge Dialogue on its own. The book is as straight forward as the title infers, that this will be a discussion between Stephen Biro and The Devil, each chapter representing a seperate conversation that the two have together. Where I had a hard time deciding how I felt about the book, came down to do I belive the character is truly having a conversation with the Devil or is this a more internal conversation he is having with himself. I'm leaning more towards the thought that this is a more internal demon he is wrestling with as he is debating society and the current condition we are living in and the damnation that soon may follow. These insights that Biro has range from amusing, cynical, and disturbing (some times in the later chapters all three at one time). As the dialogues stop becoming about the world around us and seem to focus more and more on Biros personal life, it at times feels as though maybe we are reading to much that some things should be kept hidden in the recessess of our subconscious but Biro bravely puts it all out there, in the face of personal damnation. I wouldn't say this book is for everyone, some would laugh at the notion of a man talking to The Devil while others may simply may not be secure enough in their faith to wrap there fingers around this books spine. But for those willing to take the plunge into darkness and eaves drop upon this depraved conversation you may learn a thing or two and for a few others out there, this may be the book that could save their soul.

I was not expecting this. I don't know what to think. I loved Hellucination
It was mind blowing and scared me in ways, I wasn't prepared for but this... this is the perfect follow up to Hellucination. Stephen Biro, the Author of both books is something, I cannot explain. I met him at a horror convention back in 2011 and stayed in contact, hence the advanced copy of Dialogue.
The book is Mr. Biro talking to Lucifer. Asking him questions, being told answers about history, the fall, war, ego, Revelations and withstanding so many personal attacks that the writer had to work thru to get to the end. The Devil in this, goes so in depth in the workings of the mind and our society that it truly scared me more times then I wanted to confront. Greed, lust, fame and fortune are truly splayed out in ways that only The Devil (or maybe a demon) would know and showcase for us to read about.
Meanwhile, the answers He gives to the questions asked are so manipulative, so over the top but sometimes, never answering the question but doing so, in a way shows some truth but yanks it away. It's unlike anything I have ever read before.

I really don't like to give negative reviews to anyone's art or experiences, but, I couldn't help but think of two things while reading this:
1). I felt like I was reading C.S. Lewis' 'Screwtape Letters' while listening to the Rolling Stones' 'Sympathy For The Devil' in the background.
2). I've had real encounters with the demonic (I formally participated in several Catholic Church authorized exorcisms) and also having a long history and education in occultism...the Devil is too proud, too evil, too manipulative to have had the somewhat sanguine, almost melancholic dialogue Biro expresses in this book.
Given Biro's work in underground, cult films...this book reads like a script for a low budget film. If this were listed as 'fiction' I would probably rate it higher. Biro is a talented writer. But, since this book is written as 'non-fiction' I have to challenge it's veracity.
Two books that I consistently recommend to those interested in the subject of evil, the Devil, exorcisms etc. are: Hostage to the Devil by Fr. Malachi Martin and; An Exorcist Tells His Story by Fr. Gabriele Amorth. Both books paint a very, very different portrait of the Devil than the one in which Biro paints. That's my two cents worth.

The author brings a unique perspective to Dialogue With the Devil because he's been to Hell,been manipulated by the Devil and ultimately saved by the Lord.
Biro does it such a way that is not at all preachy, even though his point of reference is his Christian upbringing.
This book is just so special in that it makes you pontificate.It gives the reader with a no nonsense insight into The Bigger Picture.
The book is fluid and well paced in its structure,which is a credit to Biro's gifted writing style tackling a controversial and heavy subject.
I would recommend this to anyone with even a passing interest in spirituality and philosophy.
Highly recommended. Prepare for your world to be eternally transformed. This truly a thinking man's book.

In Dialogue with the Devil, Stephen Biro presents a very compelling argument and conversation about faith, religion, and the state of the world, in the form of a direct interview with Satan himself. Whether you are a believer or not, the book provides a very enthralling read, keeping you turning the pages to see what kind of insights will be revealed next. This book leads the reader to do a lot of soul searching about their own personal belief and how they feel about the state of the world that we live in. Highly evocative and recommended.

I'd really rather not say why this book wasn't for me ... It just wasn't; end of story.
I kinda forgot ... I won this book on Goodreads. Thank you, Goodreads for the opportunity to read this book. This was the first time I didn't see fit to give a book more than one star. I'm not sure if I am to apologize. I'm not sure just who's fault that is. However, I hope to more Great Reads in the future.

I bought it on Kindle from Amazon. I read Stephen's Hellucination and was floored but this is another beast entirely. Stephen talks to the Devil and asks him the questions mankind faces in the war between Heaven and Hell. I loved Helluciation and didn't know where the writer would go next. Needless to say, this book gave me nightmares.

There is much to learn from this book. I give it five stars because I will read parts of it again. An accurate prediction of covid and our flu ridden times from 2014? What struck me about this book was that it rings true. Even the demon subtly trying to get the reader to turn away from God and to the smudge God's name. The devil told the truth but he also lies too.
