3 Stars for a cute and very romantic free mini shortie
I read Anne's status, saw the picture, read the blurb, read some nice reviews and it's a freebie - now it's just as well I read this short story immediately too.
... One hour later; after a cup of coffee and some reading:
I am sometimes a terrified kind of masochists. As with horror films and thriller books, I can not help but read little stories with D/s and BDSM topic. Stories that make me read breathlessly from start to finish. Absolutely terrified of what will happen on the next page. Oddly think anyone!? This was luckily only a cute little story about getting to show your great love for someone you care about.

Another wonderful contribution to the LHNB picture prompt event.
Ok, while I have some things I like a lot ( ménage, shifters..etc.) I also have things I usually avoid.
D/s and BDSM stories are not my cuppa and I don't read very many of them, but in past events I have found some of my very favorite stories by being a little more flexible and trying things at least a little outside my comfort zone.
This picture prompt was definitely outside what I normally would even think about reading, but after asking my friend Lucy if she thought I could handle it, I decided to go for it.
I was surprised by this short, considering the huge muscled guys in the picture and the 'Daddy's Boy' tat I wasn't expecting such a sweet and even tender story of Max and Rafe and the commitment they are making to each other.
So again, a huge thank you to everyone involved in this awesome M/M group event, it has not only given us some really great stories, they give me a chance to broaden my horizons, at least a little.

Daddy's Boy was a short and sweet story. What started out promising and engaging, fell short after the first chapter. I was really looking forward to meeting the Dom and seeing what kind of character could have inspired the love that was evident in the first chapter, however in meeting him, I was more disappointed than anything.
The flashback (chapter 2) revealed awkward and unnatural dialogue, mainly on the Dom's part, and a flat and awkwardly created scenario that was meant to be the beginning of their relationship and the end of 3 years of longing. The middle could have even better, especially as this is where we watch the building of their relationship's dynamics (which was interesting but could have been executed better) and the fleshing of the characters themselves. There were also sentences here and there which I felt were awkwardly and ineloquently phrased -- especially as it jolted me from the actual story. However, the story did end nicely on chapter 3 (though I admit it also had less dialogue) and we received a very satisfying and sweet ending.
Overall the story was enjoyable, though it definitely could've been touched up. A good read, however, especially since this is the author's first story released.
Rating: 2.5 - 2.75; I look forward to Owen and Micah's story and an expanded version of this story would be welcomed too, especially as I'd like to see more of their dynamics.

The story was too short, but in this case I was OK with it, because I didn't have to spend more time with the happy couple than I absolutely had to.
Bigger meaner subs are not my thing and in it's own twisted perverted way the length was perfect.
I did love the very first (chronologically) scene with Ralf and Max, the way Ralf claimed his oversized boy-to-be so effortlessly. That scene was worth 5 stars to me :)
On the whole it was a pretty sweet story and I did enjoy it.
I wish there were half stars to give - 3.5

Seriously how can something that short be that sexy sweet and emotional all in 26 pages. Wow fucking loved it. And yeah I want more. Oh and don't forget to view the NSFW pic along with the book Good lord thats gotta hurt, Im just saying!

3.5 stars - Short and surprisingly sweet. This isn't usually my type of story (really not a huge fan of the whole 'Daddy' thing), but I thought I'd give it a go anyway since it's free and it's part of the LHNB event. It was really well written, and I was surprised to find that it was much sweeter and much more romantic than I had expected. Very enjoyable, and probably more so if you like this kind of story anyway.

Very enjoyable story very nicely done by a first timer. The writing was smooth and the pace was perfect. There was a noticable lack of puncuation, mostly in the beginning, but the story was really sweet. I loved how it showed what was happening, showed how things came to be, and then ended with a wonderfully happy ending for Max and Rafe. I would have definitely enjoyed a longer version of this. Great job with the prompt as well.

Nice short story about Max, an ex-SEAL, who is a sub to the core but has a very hard time admitting it. Not just because he himself has doubts he can be a "normal boy", but because he believes, initially, it says something about him that he isn't ready or willing to reveal - not even to himself.
Of course, with the right man, and Rafe is that guy, and the understanding between the two of them what the term "Daddy"and "boy" mean to them as a couple, the situation changes. It's too bad this story is too short to show that process, I am sure it would be fascinating. What we do get to see is the step Max takes to communicate his love and commitment to his Master/husband to be once they have reached that understanding, and it's a big and permanent one. I liked hearing the story from him in first person, since that made it more real, almost like a confession to himself.
If you like stories about men with a Daddy/boy kink, if you want to know more about the reasoning and emotions that could be behind engaging in that sort of play, and if you're looking for a short, hot read with a very happy ending, then you will probably like this free short story.

This is a glimpse of a D/s relationship couple at the time of their marriage/collaring and the sub's acceptance of his Master's position in his life, and a particular title that he never thought he'd give. There is no traditional BDSM in the story, but it does do well to describe the feelings of the sub particularly during the tattooing scene.

Holy hell, that was hot! I'm kinda hit or miss on daddy kink, but I really liked this one. I loved how Rafe described what it meant to him. And that picture prompt, oh my!! I definitely hope this first-time author continues writing and gives us Micah and Owen's story.

Not a big fan of the BDSM genre, I know a lot of people love it, but it just isn't for me.
This one was sweet though, it was more about the kink and all about belonging to someone, being that in love you give yourself to someone else, to trust them so completely... it was nice, I enjoyed this little short story.

Loved this short story. I usually have issues with shorts because it's always insta-love, and you don't necessarily get to feel the connection/chemistry between the MCs, but I most definitely felt the them in this one.
