Great storyline!
It's been a long time since I found a book that took me away from everything until I finished it. I've read a lot of books about Bigfoot and this is my favorite by far. Page turning excitement from the start.

Great read, new approach
I was really struck by this writers prose and composition. The storyline flowed smoothly with just enough detail not to loose my attention.
The actual story and plot gave an innovative take I really appreciate.

A bit different but a good story nonetheless. I read it in one day wanting to get to the end.

Not bad but over dramatized
This isn’t really a bad book but I don’t think it’s right for this genre. There is a heavy emphasis on drama, feeling and descriptions that take away from the main thing … Bigfoot! And I think the characters were stupid. At the end the guy goes up against the alpha with just a handgun?!? He had so many other long guns but doesn’t bring any extras or primaries?!? The lady was just dumb shooting after them with no extra ammo or backup weapons when the armory is right next door. And they keep telling themselves how stupid they are during the action in which they are thinking through everything way too much instead of just acting. Then there were several chapters at the end devoted to finishing up and uniting the family. Which I didn’t actually care about because it was too much drama. After the fight with the Bigfoot don’t you think a hunter would at least carry a handgun with him at all times? Come on … I read these types of books and love syfy moves but this was just not for me.

Well, this was an average story about Bigfoot and one family's encounter with it. While entertaining for the most part, I kept checking how close I was to the end.
Wasn't into the religious aspect of it - I don't buy that Bigfoot has a reverence for the Almighty. Or that seeing a cross somehow made it decide not to kill someone. Would rather politics and religion be absent from the stories I read for entertainment.

really enjoyed this book
What a great story. Very well written, no typos and no grammatical issues. Enjoyed the characters and storyline. Will be looking for additional works from the author.

Rounded up from 3,5 stars (Goodreads should really do something about their rating system). Carter is a newly single dad, struggling with the death of his wife, trying to manage raising two children on his own, getting back to work... Figuring the family would benefit from a fresh start, he manages to score a great deal on a remote house, located in a forested area. Soon Carter realizes why the deal really was just too good to be true.
Now it was a pleasurable story to read: setting, dialogue, story, even the characters were well worked out and likeable. Apart from one: I just couldn't relate to the main character for some reason. His actions, his words... I honestly wasn't a fan, which is a shame, especially when looking at the other characters. There was also a certain aspect to the story (to avoid spoilers, I won't mention what) that just didn't work for me.
But, despite this, it still was a very enjoyable read.

The Siege at Simeon Heights Will Make You a Bigfoot Believer!
Simply amazing! I’ve always been interested in Sasquatch and this book really caught my attention. I wasn’t disappointed.
Killer story? Yes. Action packed? Absolutely. But where Kyle Steel’s Bigfoot tale hooked me most is through its character development. They’re just so darn relatable that you just can’t help but feel like you’re along for the ride. And what a ride it is! At times, I felt like I was watching a movie. The story reads like a mix bag of a Nicholas Sparks romance and an M. Night Shyamalan thriller. I went through the full range of emotions; fear, love, laughter, faith, relief, anger, and more. If you’re a fan of cryptids, this one is a must. And if you’re just curious, I highly recommend it.

This was listed as a free download on Amazon under Christian Fiction. There is a lot of talk about God and having faith in God. But there is a lot of profanity. They will talk about being blessed by God and then turn around and cuss with that same mouth. Just so unnecessary for a good story.
I really enjoyed the story. Based in the Pacific Northwest woods there are Creatures unseen and hiding. It was a really good story that grabs you on page 1 and hold you till the end.

A very interesting take on the most famous cryptid of all time. I found the story engaging with well-written characters and terrifying at all the right moments. There's a second book to the series and I definitely plan on reading it. The story has some surprising elements of faith in it that I found to be the most interesting inclusion of all.

My feelings
I really enjoyed this book. I loved that this story contained family both human and big foot. It shows how both will go to extreme measures for their family to protect and to avenge the wrongs. It also showed that each side could show forgiveness and mercy!

A little too much talk about the religious aspect for me.

It was about the time when a character started talking about fighting Sasquatches in Iraq that I decided to give up on this book

Captivating Bigfoot Thriller and Powerful Story
WARNING: This is not your typical Bigfoot book.
Many fans of the genre usually seek these books to be scared, or they expect gory scenes gallore with Bigfoot leaving a trail of dead bodies in its wake. For those people, I gotta say, the book willl leave you wanting. It might even be disappointing.
With that said however, this is one of the most captivating and realistic Bigfoot stories I've ever read. And I'm a huge fan of the genre in both fiction and non-fiction.
The author has crafted an amazing story that is well-balanced with depth as well as action and suspense. The characters come to life beautifuly. Their thoughts and raw emotions leap off the page so well that you just can't help but feel ike you're part of their struggle and adventure.
You can tell that Kyle Steel has done some careful research on the subject of Bigfoot. His rendition of their reported behavior from eyewitnesses is truly spot-on. So, while this is fiction, it's as close to real encounters as you're gonna get. The final conflict with the creatures will shock you! I strongly beieve that this book should be adapted into a movie--it's just that good! I highly recommend it.

Dog dies
I saw the family was getting a dog Ajax. I knew something bad was going to happen. I searched the book and found Ajax was killed by BF. I don't finish books where an innocent animal is killed. Automatic 1 star.
