Gather Round: The Internet's Scariest Campfire Stories

Rate this book
For the last 20 years, Internet Horror has transformed the landscape of scary storytelling. From Slenderman to The Backrooms to Jeff the Killer, the world wide web has helped create a new generation of mythology. In this collection, ten of the Internet's best scary storytellers will try to out-scare one another, spinning tales of unwelcomed visitors, shape-shifting demons, and abandoned houses. Several stories in this collection have also been prominently featured on forums such as "r/NoSleep" and "r/ScaryStories".

Hi. My name’s Dan. I’m a #1 Best-Selling Amazon Author and an avid consumer of all things creepy. I have been writing stories my whole life, but only started sharing them with the world during the pandemic when I discovered the NoSleep subreddit. Since then, I have continued to evolve those stories, turning them into full Amazon series, podcasts, and a scary story substack called "Sunday Scaries: Dan DeLuise's Scary Story Club". Currently, I have four series available on Amazon: The Other Place Trilogy (Dark Fantasy), The Witching Hour (Horror Thriller Novellas), Five-Minute Frights (Scary Stories), and Gather Round (A Horror Anthology). In my free time, I like to hike, watch movies, and draw portraits of my cat "Spooky".

I know horror stories aren’t real, but what if…

This is a great collection of modern horror folk stories with a nice variety of genres. As someone who’s always had a very active imagination this really played on those thoughts I’ve always had.

I’ll think about this when I hear noises at night, when I smile at someone on a train, when I disregard a warning sign, when I overhear a cheerful tune playing on a kids TV show. I’ll get that prickle as the hairs stand up on the back of my neck.

Thanks for slightly reducing my sanity level 😅 I look forward to reading more by these authors.

What a wonderful collection! I love how there were plenty of subgenres, so there’s definitely something in this book for everyone.

Some spooky stories, some really scary ones, and some that were straight up weird. Perfect for a cozy start to fall and spooky season!

Great collection of short stories

I enjoyed this book of short stories by different authors. It was a very fun read and each story was entertaining. It was a quick and easy read. If you enjoy short stories of the strange and supernatural, you will enjoy this book. I can't wait to read more.

Great book!

All of these stories were awesome! Of course, some more than others, but not one of these was your mediocre cereal.box story, this was good stuff!! Have you in your head in the middle of the night, or maybe even the day lol!!
