"This is going to be a lot of fun. Or an absolute headache."

London is fake dating her new neighbour.
Sound pretty simple right? Should be a walk in the park?
Well when lines start to blur and rules start to get broken, London has to make sure that the lines are clear.
But it's not as easy as it sounds.

"I hate not having control. And with Dominic Cressard, I'm barely hanging on to it."

Dominic left Chicago and came to NYC.
He needed a change, he was missing something.
Or someone…
When his new neighbour asked him to be her fake boyfriend, he knew the reasonable response…
Yes.
But what happens when what he plans isn't what happens?
And what happens when everything starts to feel a little too real?

"She tastes like a combination of everything forbidden, the sinful pleasures you know you shouldn't have but still indulge in. And once you get a taste, you can't stop."

I received an advanced reader's copy in exchange for an honest review.

This was my first time reading a Maxine Henri book and it was so much fun!!
It was a quick read that had so many great aspects to it.

"Suddenly Dominic seems like a solution to my problems."

First you have London who is the definition of "giving back". She is trying to do the most and giving everything she has. She has her reasons but she's doesn't let anyone close enough to see them… At least not anymore. But damn can she come up with a quip and I love that!! It was giving Niles and C.C. vibes from the Nanny and I was here for it!

"It might be a misconception that lawyers are smart, but let's face it, your brain has been eaten up by your ego. I'm shocked it fits in here with us."

"I guess that's as good of a compliment as your small brain allows."

And then we have Dominic. London's new alphahole neighbor who she didn't get the best start with. Who just moved from Chicago looking for something new. But he didn't guess that that something new would be a new fake relationship… But boy is this going to be fun.

"Are you worried I'd corrupt you, London?"

And playlists have become a regular thing for me, so please enjoy 😊😊

This was a fun fake dating romance centred around Dominic and London; new neighbours who share the only two apartments on their floor. This book is more than just it's spicy moments however; both MCs are dealing with deeper issues such as grief, loss, illness, anxiety, panic attacks and more. It gave their story so much more depth and I was really impressed with the direction it took.

Happy publication day to @maxinehenriromance 🥳

London and her new neighbor's first meeting isn't exactly positive. She's annoyed because he's left his moving boxes in the hallway for weeks, and he doesn't react well to her telling him to bring them into his new apartment. But there was chemistry, a spark, and it's that which stays in London's mind. And the reason she asks him to fake date her for her ailing father's sake. Neither of them is looking for a real relationship, but they may just find out that fake doesn't stay fake when their kind of chemistry exists.

Dominic's on leave from his high powered attorney position, for both his mental and physical health. When his new, obnoxious neighbor, whom he can't deny being seriously attracted to, comes to him with a fake dating scheme, to put her father's mind at ease, of course he's in. Though he's not really in the market for a relationship, he falls first, falls hard, for London. But he's going to have to fight to get past her walls, the ones that guard her heart from the pain she suffered when her former love passed, being the whole reason she runs the hospice she runs, and the reason she behaves the way she does.

Dominic's one swoony billionaire! I love that he falls first, and does all the fighting for them. I have to be honest, I never really liked London. Her issues created a pretty unlikable character, and her behavior, though explained by her backstory, is ridiculous. Dominic is amazing enough to elevate this story despite her awful behavior, so 4 stars is definitely warranted.

This was an emotional road to finding themselves.
What started as Enemies ended up in love.
Dominic is on a sabbatical and has moved from Chicago to New York to find himself. He has everything one could want but still feels empty and lonely.
Then there's London. She is living life like a punishment because of loss of her love at age 19 and didn't get to say goodbye. She is the grumpy character in this book. Angry at life and everyone around her. So really she is just as lost as Dominic.
London has a free facility for providing palliative care. It's her way of making up for missing her ex's last days. That's the only place she is herself, kind, caring and smiling.
Dominic has moved in to the penthouse next door to her. They don't start off well, but events lead them to fake relationship.
I really enjoyed watching these two slowly breaking down their walls. Dominic picks on her a lot but he is really trying to help her with all her anger. The way he handles her need for control and anger is magical. Also Dominic is more humble and really enjoys the charitable side of him that he discovered. He is feeling again.
They’re meant to be faking it but things are blurring, only problem he is leaving soon.
Sometimes you have to let go of what you love and see if they come back to you.
Read and find out what happens and how they manage to get their HEA.
It was angsty, emotional, loss, banter, heartache, family, love and hot spice.

"A relationship is the opposite of instant gratification. It's hard work, constant compromise, and the most difficult thing I've ever succeeded at. And the success is something you need to maintain with daily attention. And yet... the reward is beyond anything you can imagine. The reward is constant, ever-changing and overwhelming."

Reckless Dare was an incredible read, and whilst I was prepared for the push-pull that enemies to lovers' stories like this one usually bring, I wasn't ready for the emotional warfare that came with this book.

London, the main female character, runs a trust providing palliative care for people, inspired by her own losses. She's lost so much that whilst she helps others deal with that loss, she has built walls up around herself that keep people away because if you don't let them in you can't lose them. Her initial reaction to life is anger and at times she can seem sanctimonious until you peel away the layers to see the truly wonderful person she is underneath everything. Dominic has moved in next door in a bid to escape his life because he's burnt out and has forgotten how to feel and enjoy life anymore. They clash terribly and argue incessantly, but somehow through it all, they begin to chip away at each other's armour. They begin as enemies but agree to fake date and it's through this forced relationship that they learn to live and they learn to love and, despite the occasional hiccup, when it happens, it's truly beautiful.

The author did such a good job of building both characters up and their differing POVs provided not only their inner monologues but also through their conversations with others, especially Dom's conversations with people such as Bianca and Cesare we get to learn even more about the characters and the reasons they are how they are.

Reckless Dare caught me off guard with how grounded and emotionally honest it was. It’s not just about fake dating or tension-filled banter (though it has plenty of both)- it’s about two people who are exhausted by life and slowly, reluctantly, start to feel again.

London is guarded, prickly, and completely dedicated to the hospice center she built in honor of someone she lost too young. She keeps people at a distance, convinced that if she doesn’t let anyone in, she can’t lose them. And honestly? I completely understood her. Watching her try to hold everything together while not realizing she was unraveling was… hard. And real.

Then Dominic shows up. Burned out, emotionally checked out, and in desperate need of something to feel like his. They butt heads from the beginning- she’s angry, he’s amused- but the spark is immediate. The fake dating setup (for her dad, who just wants to see her happy before he goes) starts as a favor, but the shift from pretending to feeling sneaks up on both of them.

Their banter was absolutely top-tier. I laughed. I cringed. I reread a few lines just to enjoy the way they landed. But it’s the quiet moments that really hit- when they start to show up for each other, even when it’s uncomfortable or scary.

This book made me laugh, ache, and actually think- about grief, guilt, control, and what it takes to let someone love you when you don’t feel like you deserve it. The ending was exactly what these two needed. I closed the book feeling full in the best way.

One thing I can always count on with Maxine Henri is that she writes deep. Her characters are created in ways that make every motive, every mistake, every wall they put up feel completely earned. Her stories consistently explore complex, realistic flaws and the slow, often painful journey to healing- and Reckless Dare is no exception.

About the book
Hot shot lawyer, Dominic, is overworked and doesn’t have that zest for life like he once did. So, he takes off for New York for a few months to clear his head. He meets his incredibly beautiful, incredibly feisty neighbor, London, and they immediately have a hate-filled relationship. They can’t stand each other, yet the energy in the room says otherwise. London asks Dom to be her fake boyfriend to appease her ill father, and he says yes because there is no way they will fall for each other, right?

Tropes:
💰 Billionaire Romance
👻 Enemies with benefits
🏠 Neighbors to Lovers
💟 Fake Relationship

🩶 He Falls First

London and Dominic are opposite in so many ways. London runs a charity hospice for people who really need help. London lost her boyfriend to cancer years ago and is trying to live life for him and help people as much as she can. She works really hard to get donations for her charity and fights tooth and nail for the people in her hospice house. She has a big heart, yet it’s closed off because she is scared to get close to people.

Dominic is a criminal defense attorney and, up until he left Chicago, loved his job. Or so he thought. Moving to New York made him realize that he was doing all the things he once loved yet didn’t love them anymore, and it made his body shut down on him. Meeting London and sparing with her, getting to know her and her feistiness, made him rethink how he lived his life and didn’t want to go back to that. He never thought he was a relationship man, but he just hadn’t met his perfect girl.

🖤 "She tastes like a combination of everything forbidden, the sinful pleasures you know you shouldn't have but still indulge in. And once you get a taste, you can't stop." 🖤

These two made this book so easy to read! I loved their banter and how passionate they were. The spice was perfect, and I loved how good they were together!

Firstly thank you to @theauthor.agenc for this beautiful arc…and also it release day 🥳🥳Dom and London are now available to the public!

London finds herself Rocking a fake relationship with the mysterious billionaire Dominic Cressard while rushing between charitable endeavors and her father’s sick bed, setting a ton of rules to make it work.

But Then they start breaking them.
One by one.
The lines blur.
And what should be fake feels suddenly real.
Dangerously real.

(I was in for all the realness btw!)

London a perfect Grumpy in this story and Dom being the Sunshine haha

I gotta say though i mostly enjoyed this book because of Dominic the MMC. He’s character was just so refreshingly attractive. He was doing and saying all the right things. His patience with the FMC and the way he just blended in with her friends and the rest of her family was so beautiful.

London the FMC on the other hand… am still recovering on how mad i’d get sometimes while reading because of her. Also she’s got a twin sister who’s just the best. But London…i didn’t know a character can be do infuriating and intriguing at the same time😂😂She makes you wanna stop reading but you keep on reading just so you’d know how things went after.

Her Golden heart though and her ability to help people; make them feel at home especially at the hospice giving people a beautiful sendoff to the afterlife is beyond words. “CHILLI” as Dom calls her…She just makes everybody around her feel appreciated and seen!

The two totally opposite of each other….Dom and London are a total match made in heaven. So different but so insync with each other.

Part of the Reckless Billionaires series each can be read as a standalone with a sexy billionaire and the women who captures his undivided attention. Okay will start out by saying this will either be a cake walk or a complete disaster 😊 either way super entertaining. London has so much going on running a hospice charity that helps makes patients last days a little bit easier after losing her childhood best friend/boyfriend to cancer so running it in his honor, her father is also sick so she is afraid he is going to die without ever seeing her fall in love, or happy and so thinks of a plan to make him happy if only for a moment with a man she can’t stand. Dominic sexy as all get out billionaire, an attorney on leave to get his head together a reset, a mouth that will set your world on fire, don’t get started on the looks he gives and meeting his neighbor who he found to be entertaining to say the least so when she asked him to fake date for her dad he agrees reluctantly. The magnetic pull between them is too strong to ignore the more they try the stronger the pull and the more the fake it the more real it feels so what are they do when fake is quickly turning into real especially when they keep sabotaging what could be but will she open up for him to understand her, will her father understand why she chose to fake it, will she see past his flaws, can she be honest with herself when she realize it is no longer fake, will he be honest about his feelings, and is there happiness for the two of them on the crazy ride they have embarked upon and all the shenanigans they get into?

Reckless Dare is the third book in the Reckless Billionaires series, but it can be read as standalone.

London runs a charity for people in hospice; her goal is to make their last days the best they can be. She had a boyfriend when she was younger, and he passed away before she could say goodbye. Now, her father is ailing, and she’s afraid she’ll lose him too.

Dominic is a lawyer, and he takes on the cases that no one else wants to take. But, he wants a little break from it all, so his friend suggests he go somewhere else. He ends up going to New York, and he’s London’s new neighbor.

These two do not get along when they first meet. London is irritated that he has his boxes all over the place, despite having been moved in for a while. But there’s definitely chemistry between them.

London’s father just wants her to fall in love again, and she wants to make him happy. So she proposes a fake dating scheme to Dominic. He agrees to help her out, especially because he has also become friends with her father.

Dominic was so sweet and swoony. He was charming and always knew the right thing to say. And when he fell, he fell hard. Yes, he had some issues to work through, but he did work through them.

London was a bit harder to like, at first. She was grumpy and seemed to have a chip on her shoulder. But learning her story definitely helped to understand why she was the way she was. Her trauma, her fears, they were justified. She had to go through true healing from her past before she could let Dominic in. And really, she just had the biggest heart.

This was my first book by Maxine Henri, and I enjoyed it.

Reckless Dare is the third book in the Reckless Billionaires series. It is a billionaire, fake dating, enemies to lovers romance. It can be read as a standalone. I haven’t read the first two books but this one was really good!

This story follows London and Dominic. Dominic is a lawyer from Chicago who takes a sabbatical in New York so he can clear his head and get a fresh start. London runs a hospice charity that helps make the patients last days a little bit easier. London lost her childhood boyfriend to cancer so she runs everything she does with this charity is in his honor. London’s dad is sick and is afraid he’s going to die without ever seeing his daughter fall in love again and truly be happy. Eventually she comes up with a plan to bring home a fake boyfriend to appease her dad. And who does she pick? Her new neighbor who she can’t stand, Dominic.

Not going to lie at first I didn’t really like London. I thought she was too difficult and made things harder than they had to be. But as the story went on you learn why she is that way and her character grows so much. She has been through so much and she is such a tough FMC. I LOVED Dom from the get go! He is everything you want in a billionaire book boyfriend. Charming, good looking and has a filthy mouth! The spice in this book was great! The bathroom scene! 🥵 I will never get over it!!
What I liked most about this story was the main characters development they both grew so much and it shows how they really was meant for each other.

I just found out that this is book 3 in Reckless Billionaires series and I really enjoyed it. I have to read the rest in this series!

The story follows London who owns a hospice for people in need. She channeled her guilt to charitable endeavors when her boyfriend choose to die alone when they were younger. She met Dominic the lawyer, her neighbor and they are not in a good term when they first meet. Until she offer him a proposition to be her fake boyfriend to make her dad happy.

I have to be honest, I’m not a fan of London when we’re introduced with ther character. But she slowly grows in me and I freaking adore her. How she help people and take care of them. Her back and forth banter with Dominic cracks me but sometimes I hate how London denies their attraction. But when she gives in, man their chemistry is top notch! Don’t let me start with the spicy scene. This is really an enjoyable story and I love learning and reading about the charity thing. You guys should read the bonus chapter as well!

If you love all the tropes listed, please read this one!

“There is kindness in her eyes, and I want to remember this moment forever because she feels like home.”

I was so excited to meet London in Reckless Dare after meeting her in Maxine Henri’s previous story, Reckless Desire. In fact - my words were that she needed her “edges softened.” And damn….Henri delivered.
“They” say anger is a secondary emotion…and that is wildly true for London from the get go.

There’s so much angst & tension between her & hot shot (and mostly HOT!!) attorney Dominic. A slow build/burn that is so delicious until the dam finally breaks. Dominic doesn’t come without his own issues - and these two have quite a hill to climb (of their own making truthfully) to get to the other side & to one another.

I loved every minute of it. Totally enthralled - the storylines felt complete & well thought out. Very few, if any, plot holes etc. Honestly such a lovely fake dating, reverse grumpy/sunshine, billionaire story. I loved them so.
AND sounds like we’re getting the tech obsessed, ultimate grump up next in Gio. I’m betting his slated love interest is going to catch him wildly off-guard. And I’m HERE FOR IT!! Can’t wait to read!

3.75/5 - ARC REVIEW

Billionaire-he falls first-fake relationship-enemies to lovers all in one book??? Need I say more???

While I did like Sydney and Hunter's story a bit more, it was fun to see the teases we got from London in Reckless Desire come to life. London meets her grumpy neighbor Dominic, who's a big shot lawyer in Chicago. He represents criminals but has moved to NYC after collapsing in the courtroom. Completely burned out he annoys London by simply breathing. However, they soon find themselves attracted to each other (not that either one would admit it) and when London needs a fake boyfriend, Dominic is all too happy to step in. Only it doesn't feel all that fake.

This book was a fun third (second for me) in this series. If every sibling is getting a book, we're in for some great romances! London and Dominic's story was very different from Sydney and Hunter's, however we get the same well written characters, storyline, spice... the hottest scene is in the epilogue though :p There is a short third act break up, which you kind of see coming but it was quickly resolved and in a good, communicative way (with a bit of billionaire - I have a lot of money - showing off/bribery).

Overall this was a cute read that I would definitely recommend! Excited to see grumpy, anti-social Gio fall for Mila in the next book!

There is a sense of fierce between them. They rile each other up any chance they get. They become water and oil at times where they don’t fit together but you can tell they have the hots for each other and they both want to be wrapped into each others arms.

Dominic so straightforward with what he wants and London trying hard not to fall into his charming arms. I’ll let myself fall, don’t you worry London! I got you.

There were times where Dominic would think about doing all sorts if things to London that sometimes it left me speechless. I had to reread some of them to make sure I didn’t misunderstand what he had said. All was correct! 🥵 There are some dominant scenes you won’t want to miss!

There were some funny parts that he mentions on his thoughts about London. I enjoyed the humor it came with Dominic. His way of expressing himself is on another level. It leveled out Dominic and Londons character.

Aside from all of the above, it is a sad story at one point. I can’t lie and say my throat wasn’t closing up because it did a few times. It must have be hard knowing one of your parents is days or months away from leaving.

You will find yourself on an emotional rollercoaster where you will be thinking of how heated they get then how infuriating they are and the next how sad the story can be. Overall, I loved the story and the story behind it.

I haven't read the previous books in the series so I went into this blind to the characters that may have appeared in previous books. This was a standalone, but each sibling gets a book in the series.

Dominic moves in next to London, escaping Chicago after completely burning out with his fast-paced lifestyle and heavy workload. London has dedicated her life to running a non-profit, after losing her childhood love.

I did not connect with London at all, she was so standoffish with everyone, even her family sometimes, and although there is a reason for this, by that time it revealed I just couldn't warm to her at all. Her dedication to her job and the people involved was selfless and heartbreaking at the same time. Dominic starts out as the stereotypical super-rich lawyer, representing mostly criminals but needs a break. They start a fake relationship with benefits.

I could see the chemistry between these two, and I loved how Dominic liked to wind London up, but I just couldn't warm to them as a couple. Both had so much baggage to wade through and deal with before either could attempt a real relationship. I did enjoy seeing them dealing with their own issues and finding themselves which ultimately led to them finding a way to be together.

I have been liking most of the books in this series a lot. This is the 3rd book in the series and each one can be read as a standalone. I enjoy Maxine’s writing and how she tells the stories she writes. Dominic and London were great to read about. London is running a palliative care (giving care to improve the quality of life of patients who have serious or life-threatening diseases) facility. This is her way of making up for missing her ex’s last days. This facility is where she is her true self which is loving, kind, caring, and where she always smiles. Dominic is an attorney who has moved to NY to find himself during a sabbatical from his work. They both have some separate issues to work on like Dominic is feeling empty and lonely, and London who seems to be punishing herself for the loss of her love when she was 19 and she didn't get to say goodbye. Surprisingly Dominic moves next door to London but it's also no surprise they dont start off well but eventually they end up having a fake relationship. Their relationship was so fun to read about. These 2 have such a pull to one another that is so strong. The more fake their relationship is the more it feels real. The way these 2 kept sabotaging this relationship I was like “WHAT ARE YOU DOING?” Overall I really did like this book and for sure couldn't put it down. One thing I’m a sucker for is a fake relationship book and this book doesn't miss the mark on anything.

Reckless Dare is the third book in the series but can be read as a standalone ✨

London lost someone close to him years ago and since then she has kept everyone on an arms length.

Dominic after getting burnt out from work decided to have a change of scenery and moved to New York..
Everytime Dominic & London bump into the lobby, Dominic witnesses a different side of London but one thing is clear, London gets riled up 😤

Dominic with his lawyer antics, something he needed in Chicago helps London but it is still not enough to change the perception..

But when London has to fake date she asks Dominic for help who is more than willing😉

I loved Dominic, his attitude, the way he pushed London’s buttons and obviously the spicy nothings in her ear.

I had a love hate relationship with London throughout the book but I think that was how her character was built, she was the one who needed complete control in her life and Dominic spunned the entire axis of her life 😩

This book is a great read if you want to have a power couple feels in the book.

Reckless Dare was one of those books that I didn’t expect to like so much and get attached so easily to the characters.

We have London, a very angry woman that fears death, who has a hospice for those with terminal diseases and Dominic, a morally gray lawyer with a shady past. These two meet when Dominic moves to New York to rediscover the joy of life and he appears to be London’s new neighbor.

They had chemistry from the first meet. And besides attraction, there was hate. For two people, strangers of such powerful feelings, they were both feeling too much. But London needs Dominic to be her fake boyfriend so that her father can be happy and don’t worry for her. And from this moment, their journey of discovering each other begins.

I like how the characters were created, how they felt and how they reacted towards one another. I don’t have any complaints about them because I related with them so much. I understood that each one had to make their own decisions and clarify their feelings so that they can devote themselves to each other completely.

The plot was good. The spice was good. It was a happy read.
I’m so happy that I had the chance to read this book! It was a beautiful surprise. I really recommend giving it a chance! I am sure you won’t regret it! 🩷

Perfect chemistry, mass amounts of heart wrenching loss, and a man who is like the perfect balm on a wounded soul, this book is fabulous!
London Lowe hates her new neighbor, with a passion. Everything about him irritates her, his stupid boxes in the hall, his stupid smirk, and his stupid sexy body. But when she needs a fake boyfriend to make her dad happy, he's her only option and he agrees. It's the perfect set up since he's across the hall and London's charity work and sick father take up so much of her time, they just need a few rules. But Dominic, a temporary transplant to New York working on his own issues, loves nothing more than breaking rules, and there's no way London is staying as in charge of their fake relationship as she thinks.
I cried, this book is a spicy, enemies to lover's book, but my god it can just tear your heart to pieces. London is completely amazing, selfless, and admittedly difficult. But I love her. Dominic though, he falls first, he falls deep and hard, and he is such a sweetie wrapped up in a morally grey sexy lawyer package. If you love a book that can kinda destroy you and then piece you back together, grab this one it is so worth it.

Reckless Dare is the third book in the Reckless Billionaires series. I haven't read the first two books yet, but I definitely plan to now! They can all be read as standalones and the story was very easy to follow.

London lost someone very close to her at a young age and has kept her walls up ever since to protect herself from more grief. Dominic is a lawyer who defends criminals. He is burnt out and took a sabbatical in New York away from work and his home town of Chicago.

London's father would love to see her fall in love so she concocts a plan to fake date Dominic. Little did they both know, their worlds would be forever changed.

I absolutely loved the way Dominic taught London how to see the positive in life instead of being angry all the time. I do wish their was more character building and more glimpses into why they are both the way they are. I didn't feel quite as connected to the characters as I wish I did.

Otherwise this is a super cute read and I highly recommend!!

London and Dom have an undeniable physical connection, Dominic puts the DOM in dominant… These two now need to figure out how a real relationship can work between with with their completely opposite careers and dark pasts keeping them at arms length from eachother.

This is a slow burn enemies to friends to lovers …….

What happens when you get to meet the obnoxious neighbour next door who is cocky and full of himself. The thing London doesn’t know is that he is here to get a break to find himself again and rediscovery who he is.

Then we have Dominic that sees a feisty, angry neighbour but also realises that they’re something more to her and he just needs to find out who she is.

These two have instant chemistry cut also instant hate for each other but has Dominic ingrains himself in her life they become more. What starts off as a fake relationship builds and they cross the line that shouldn’t be crossed when in a fake relationship. Can these two actually become more, and what about Dominic’s job he will have to return home at some point.

This is not just simply an enemies to lovers romance but the author adds in other complexities that each character goes through that takes us on an emotional rollercoaster of a ride. Such a well written story.

This is the first book I have read by this author, and it was enjoyable and a little heartbreaking. London has so deep seating issues steamy from loss of a past boyfriend, she has made it her life to help those in need with leukemia and needing hospice. Dominic is trying to get his life back on track after collapsing in a court room. When these to meet you can feel the sexual tension coming off the pages. She is grumpy snarky and sassy and all that turns him in too a wanting fool. The push and pull between these two is electric and when she decides she needs a fake boyfriend it's his door she goes to one drunken night. This book is a wild ride filled with emotional heartbreak and struggles from both sides to try and find a happy existence. I love that he falls first and try's hard to ease her into the relationship. Will they find their HEA. Well worth the read I would definitely read another book by Maxine Henri. I was given this book as an ARC for my honest review.

“Reckless Dare” reminded me of those Lauren Bacall and Cary Grant movies I used to watch. They had such great rapport and physical comedic timing, so their story flowed well. Author Maxine Henri does that with Dominic and London from their first meet-up.

Having work/life balance challenges and other struggles, Dominic moves to another city, hoping a change will help him. He ends up living across from a charismatic and often drama-filled neighbor, London. London desperately needs a boyfriend, and Dominic fits the bill. Though both are struggling with deeper issues, they find their path, which is heartwarming.

London was often chaotic and extreme, which was understandable in some ways considering what she was dealing with, but I found her frustrating. I did enjoy Dominic’s character quite a bit, and overall, “Reckless Dare” was entertaining.

High profile attorney Dominic is burned out, no longer finding any pleasure in his career or old way of life. The fireball known as London is the spark that brings him back to life. London devotes her life to the patients and the hospice she runs. She has great compassion for the suffering of others but struggles to keep a lid on the anger always on a low boil below the surface.

Dominic and London are interesting characters with an explosive chemistry, and no matter how hard she tries to push him away, he doesn't budge. Like Dominic, I found her pretty hard to take sometimes but understood that her anger was rooted in the fear and the pain of loss.

Well-written and emotional, Reckless Dare is a great addition to the series. I really cared about these characters and am looking forward to Gio's story.

Spellbinding:
I was immediately drawn into this amazing story and was torn between racing to find out how it was going to turn out and never wanting it to end.
London and Dominic clashed spectacularly and both had their own issues to deal with but it was fun seeing them find their way together. It was beautifully written and I loved the drama and tension that existed between these two. I particularly appreciated the balance between spicy romance and deeper, more heart wrenching issues such as loss, grief and heart ache.
Although their was some overlap with previous books it could still be enjoyed as a standalone. However they are all absolutely fabulous and I now can't wait for the next book.

𝙁𝙖𝙠𝙚 𝙙𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙢𝙮 𝙜𝙤𝙧𝙜𝙚𝙤𝙪𝙨 𝙣𝙚𝙬 𝙣𝙚𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙗𝙤𝙧 𝙞𝙨 𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙛𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙡𝙮 𝙛𝙞𝙣𝙚. 𝙐𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙡 𝙬𝙚 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙩 𝙗𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙧𝙪𝙡𝙚𝙨...

Maxine Henri is back with book 3 in this series and it is just as spicy and just as addicting as the first two.

Fake dating is quickly becoming one of my favorite tropes because I love the transition into it becoming real. Add in the 𝙗𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙛𝙞𝙩𝙨 with the fake dating?! 🔥🌶️

I loved the spice in this book but also the characters and their growth. They both had walls up for different reasons and seeing them evolve into allowing feelings to fake over was really sweet. London was the quintessential bad ass FMC and I was here for it! And Dominic is so possessive and swoon worthy.

This book was addicting. Once I started I couldn’t stop. I was laughing, crying, swooning: all the feels!

the way i loved this book. london is such a badass and dominic is so swoony and possessive that i could not stop reading.

we first met london in reckless desire when she was trying to help out her sister sydney. dominic moves in next door and immediately they're off on the wrong foot. dominic leaves his boxes in the hallway for two weeks and london can't stand it. yet somehow, he is the only one she will break down around.

london's job leaves her surrounded by death all of the time and dominic moves from chicago after a break down at work and he needed some time to reset.

they start fake dating for london's dad sake while he is going through some health issues... but it's not exactly fake.

this book was so addicting, i found myself flipping to the next page as quickly as i could as i was so interested in what would happen next.

maxine henri had me holding my breath, laughing, crying, swooning, yelling, all of the emotions. while this is part of a series, you absolutely can read this as a stand-alone.
