Beautifully photographed, however the writing is so dry and unexciting. On reflection there such an abundance of important names dates and places this makes it an ideal starting point for someone who is looking to explore further.

Very good overview of French Art Deco, with many pictures. Focused more on people than elements of style. Unfortunately not much on Art Deco beyond France.

The only major flaw this book has is that it needs all its illustrations in color, not just part of them. These would really improve the volume.
