Sometimes, you pick up a book and it feels like it was written just for you. " You Are Still the One" is one of those rare stories that wraps around your heart and refuses to let go. It’s not just a love story — it’s about hope, courage, friendship, and the little moments that make life beautiful, even when it feels impossible.

The story begins with Trisha, a 17-year-old girl facing one of the hardest battles anyone could ever imagine Hodgkin Lymphoma. She’s scared, fragile, and unsure if she can ever live a normal life again. And then, as if life knew exactly what she needed, she meets Aditya a cheerful, lively army officer whose smile feels like sunshine breaking through the clouds.

What I loved most is how their relationship isn’t just about romance. It’s about laughter in hospital rooms, silly moments that lift your heart, and the way love can quietly heal a soul. With Trisha’s cousin Varun and his girlfriend Meetu by her side, they create memories that feel so real, so alive, that you can’t help but smile along with them.

But life isn’t simple. Aditya has to leave, distance grows, and for years, there’s no word from him. Trisha moves on, chasing her dreams, going to London for further studies, and meeting Dakshit - funny, caring, and kind. Yet, no matter how sweet her new life is, her heart can’t forget that first smile, that first spark of hope. It’s heartbreaking and beautiful at the same time, because it’s so real.

Himanshu Rai’s writing is gentle, warm, and effortlessly emotional. You feel every fear, every tear, every heartbeat of Trisha. The story shows how love can survive distance, time, and challenges , how it’s sometimes quiet, sometimes messy, but always powerful. The twists and surprises keep you hooked, yet it’s the small, human moments a laugh shared, a hand held, a word of encouragement that stay with you the most.

Reading this book feels like someone is holding your hand through life’s ups and downs, reminding you to believe, to hope, and to never give up. It made me laugh, made me cry, and made me believe in love in a way that’s soft, comforting, and unforgettable.

" You Are Still the One" isn’t just about romance, it’s about life, friendship, courage, and hope. It’s the kind of story that lingers in your heart long after the last page, the kind that makes you want to hug someone you love and tell them to never take a single moment for granted. 🌿💛
