“Because once you stop giving a f*ck about how sh*t looks to other people or what they think, you are truly free to be yourself. That sh*t is liberating.”
Iradessa, JaQuan and Remi created their own lane and set their vehicle on cruise control! Whew baby!!!!🌶️🥵😮💨 this was a 10 piece spicy with all the sides! While this lifestyle is NOT for me I LOVED reading about it! These three knew what they wanted and once Iradessa and Remi were able to get out of their own heads they created something that worked perfectly for them. I always admire KB for pushing the boundaries with her writing and giving us something completely different from what we are used to! Per usual she did the dämn thing!!
I’ve been impatiently waiting on KB to drop this book and it was so worth the wait. We first met Remi, Iridessa, and JaQuan in Something She Can Feel. The story picks up six months later after Remi, Iridessa, and JaQuan drunkenly partake in a threesome none of them can stop thinking about. It’s definitely living rent free in all of their heads. Remi is struggling because, this was her first experience with a man and sis may have enjoyed herself a lil too much. So, not only is she secretly in love with her best friend but, now, she’s secretly lusting after her bestie’s man. Whew chile, the drama! Honestly, my heart went out to Remi. She has identified as a lesbian most of her adult life so, she was truly struggling with her feelings for JaQuan. Can we talk about JaQuan for a moment?!!! The way this man was so open and accepting of Iridessa’s attraction to Remi was a little weird but, still a beautiful aspect of the story. I mean, this wasn’t his first rodeo at the poly lifestyle so he was a lot more familiar and comfortable with it than the girls were. And, that damn Iridessa?!!! I couldn’t tell this was her first lesbian experience the way she was cuttin’ up. Hell, she was more aggressive than Remi. But, as long as she got her man and her woman, Desi was down for whatever. Girlfriend said she wasn’t choosin’ and Remi and JaQuan needed to work that out. A Thing Between Lovers was a little bit sweet, definitely sexy, and heavy on the raunchy. The love that blossomed between these characters was amazing. The way everyone chose to live in their truth and just be unapologetically themselves was truly admirable. And, I love how accepting everyone’s family was. There was absolutely no judgement. As always, KB came through with the back breaking and toe curling sex scenes. So, just gon’ head and grab your moist towelettes cause, yeah, you gon’ need them. 😉
A few moans and several curse words later… please get you some of that plastic that your grandma used to cover her furniture with back in the day. Lay you some down and get ready for Splash waterfalls 💦 Thank me later. Too much? Lol! Simply put best friends Dessa and Remi, whose lesbian are attracted to each. After a night of partying and intoxication at a friend’s (JaQuan) house, they let go and live out their fantasy involving each other. Quan is intrigued by what’s playing out in his guest bedroom and decides to join them with the intention to watch. Soon the duo becomes a trio. After the deed is done Remi is instantly confused by her actions and questioning her sexuality. Remi wants Dessa, Dessa wants Remi and Quan. Quan has been there and done that and willing to go with the flow with one exception, he will not be without Dessa. Quan is the only guy Remi has ever been with and she’s trying to fight the feelings that she has for him. The seggs scenes are 🥵🥵🥵 and now I need a cigarette and a nap.
Spicy 🌶️🌶️ Hotttt 🥵🥵 Wet 💦💦and Sexy af you hear me!!
Whew ion even whew...I need a cigarette and some wine and I don't drink or smoke. Goodness gracious, my blood pressure might still be up. Okkkk goodness. JaQuan was oozing BDE you hear me. Surprisingly enough he was the star to me, even though it felt like Desa was the mc. He was secure enough to know that he wanted Desa to experience everything her heart desired even if that meant sharing her. He catered to her needs and when she made her intentions clear about Remi he was down to explore. I understood Remi's hesitancy because it could easily have been a third wheel situation, but together they made it work. Baby the fireworks that these three made🎆🎇🧨
KB knows how to write a complete damn story!! The plot was solid, we got to know and enjoy the characters, it was funny, and sexxxxy AF!!
Whew 😅, that was we everything. I wish there was more! I loved how JaQuan knew his woman was suffering without her other half and gave his blessing to go get her girl. I wish i could find my people.
OOOkkk... so Kimberly Brown is in her nasty bag, and I’m here for all of it! She did not come to play with this one. I know I have been waiting to see what happened that night, and we are given explanations and much more. I know this is a review of the book in its entirety, but let me get this out... The sex in this book was classily nasty and freakily superb😝 Now that I’ve gotten that out, this storyline was great, especially for a short read. Iridessa, Remy, and JaQuan were a whole vibe, and I loved how they progressed and navigated their unconventional situation. This author knew what she was doing with this one. I’m always here for any and everything she drops, but this one was a different level of gold! I’m not usually big on multiple partners in a relationship, but I fell in love with these three even when they irked my nerves by delaying the inevitable 🙄. This book was the perfect mixture of what’s needed in an erotica read without being overly sexualized, and once again, I take my hat off to Ms. Kimberly Brown!
We meet these three characters in Something She Can Feel, where we find out that Remi has a crush on her best friend Iridessa. They meet JaQuan at his party, and the night gets interesting.
Iridessa is happy in her relationship with Jaquan but wants Remi too. Remi is wondering about her sexuality and what she really wants. Her body reacts to JaQuan in ways she didn’t think was possible.
JaQuan exudes BDE in the best possible way. He’s confident, but not cocky, and isn’t bothered that Remi wants a piece of Iridessa. Hell, he’d love to watch. He’s secure in his relationship and that is just so sexy to me. It’s Remi and Iridessa who are both in their own heads about all of this.
Iridessa, JaQuan, and Remi were great as twosomes and as a group. They went with what made them happy, and I loved that for them.
I had a time reading this; page to page it was so good. There were goosebumps on my arms! The dirty talk, the sex, the chemistry — it was all too good!
Whew! Remi and Des both got on my nerves they knew they wanted each other after that threesome they had with Jaquan. Des gets in a relationship with Jaquan and Remi gets in her feelings. Remi can’t understand why she wants Des and Jaquan both and she keeps trying to fight it. Finally it’s laid out on the table and they’re all in and things really heat up 🥵 Jaquan know he had a way with words because baybee the way he had Rem in that restaurant bathroom yes sir yes ma’am 👏🏾 The sexcapades were so vivid chile I need a cigarette 🚬 😅
Ummmm!!!!! First let me say that the overwhelming amount of acceptance & love in this book was admirable. I know so many people wish their family & friends could be as accepting as these characters family/friends were. Now that we got that outta the way….. This book will have you wanting to be a fly on the wall or act on a curiosity you may be scared to explore. I had a few moments! 😏 This is erotic and not for prudes. These characters will have you ready to throw caution to the wind. Loved this one! Great job Kimberly 😍
This book had potential but it being fast paced and undeveloped ruined it. I will honestly say that it definitely would’ve benefited from more pages. That would’ve given me more time on page with them as a couple because the flashbacks didn’t provide much. There wasn’t even an on page sex scene with them like what the hell!!! isn’t that the purpose of this book? LOL!! Okay okay there is more to these stories than sex but in this case, damn why not give us an explosive, sexy ass scene? Okay, I will give credit to the conversations that they have and the supportive family but outside of that, what else? Unnecessary attitude and choppy dialogue? Plus, it’s very hard for me to believe she is taking anal without lube when it’s a first time with a man? I mean, there was no mention of her engaging in anal play with her other lovers so I’m left to assume that is a first for her too? Without lube?!?!?!?! I see what the author was going for but she missed the mark big time on this one.
This was a different kind of read for me. It was interesting, but I gave it three stars because it was just something about Remi that I just didn’t care for. I can’t put my finger on it. I will say, though, Remi was more tolerable towards the end of the book.
I loved how JaQuan really catered to Dessa’s needs and was very understanding. I also liked the open/honest relationships that each character had with their families.
I would’ve liked to see how the throuple would’ve worked if Dessa was the only one in a relationship with JaQuan and Remi (instead of all three in a relationship with each other) but it was nice to read about Remi’s “evolution”.
This was sexy as hell but it also showcased love is love. It isn’t always going to reflect a conventional love and/or relationship. We’ll do e Kimberly! It was definitely a treat to read about Dessa’s loves.
"You'll be cumming, but it won't be home" - DES OWEEEEE baby!!!
Soooo, today I gained not just a book boyfriend Quan. - The MOST attentive, caring, patient man you can find on planet EARTH. And he was always cooking and cleaning?!?!? But, also my VERY FIRST book girlfriend. Remi. She might've tried to put on a front several times. Howeva, miss ma'am KNEW what to do with it. And While she had ZERO experience with a man before Quan... She had no problem handling Quan! ;)
This is part two to "Something she can feel". It is beautifully put together, and starts right back up where book one left off. The author took her TIME baby! I love how as an erotic story with no BDSM play in this story. It was still SUPER erotic. Quan lets it be known he is NOT into whips and chains baby, but he can get withcha! lol
This story was a very realistic look into what I would think being in a poly dynamic would look like. For me especially, that is if I were to ever try it. lol. All the hard conversations you could think of were had. From jealousy, to pregnancy scares, to introducing each other and their lifestyle to everyone on the outside. I Love how they loved on each other together and were also able to find that time separately with NO hard feelings. It was all love from beginning to end. Well.. Not so much remi at first. lol Then sis came around!
It was the support for me. Their family and friends really helped them to realize that love is simply, that! If you love someone, or a few people and you want to make that work. And the feeling is mutual? DO IT!
I anticipated this read hard...I was feening like a Crackhead and rightfully so...because when I tell you baby this story had ya girl hot and bothered...I mean whew!!! Now know this...Ohhh, they NASTY...SO NASTYand I loved it...Ms. Kimberly Brown... it was what I wanted and more.... I loved Iridessa and Remi together. I commend Iridessa for being open and honest about what she wanted and making it work. I also could understand Remi and her confusion after being one way for so long and then meeting someone that makes you feel things that were foreign to you. I appreciated how she did try and work through her feeling and give herself a chance at happiness.
JaQuan, I LOVED THIS MANS!!! The sweetest most understanding man ever. Like he was communicative and really open-minded. He never made either feel like they were less and I loved this about his character. Now his dialogue had me needing a tall lass of hella cold water and a whole ass AC unit. I can say this live up to expectations and I am so happy that I got to read it!! I will so be buying paper back when available.
The wait was worth it! We met Remi, Iridessa, and JaQuan in "Something She Can Feel," and I am so glad we got their story. Honestly, most of what I wanna say would have amazon pulling it down 😂 But this book was everything. Remi's feelings and struggle were real and made me feel for her struggle. JaQuan's openness and acceptance were a beautiful aspect of the story. Irirdessa's bravery to say I don't want to choose and to live in her truth was lovely writing. The love that bloom was amazing, but the don't be fool, this book is filthy in the best way! Back braking, toe curling actions taking place in this book is top-tier! Kimberly Brown does miss, especially when it comes to black erotica 👏👏👏
I really enjoyed this grown and sexy novella. This touched on polyamory and questioning of one’s sexuality and being comfortable with yourself and your sexuality and I am here for it. I loved these three and the bond and connection they had as a couple and as a throuple. I loved that JaQuan was so comfortable with himself and knowing what he brought to the table and it was refreshing to see because he had no issues with giving his girl what she wanted. I loved that the parents of both Des and Remi were so supportive and understanding of their lifestyle and enforced that unconditional love because it is not something you see everyday. I highly recommend this read and I can’t wait to see what comes next from this author.
I really enjoyed this grown and sexy book. Iridessa and Remi had to come to terms with what type of relationship they wanted with each other and JaQuan. I think JaQuan showed his love for Iridessa and his maturity by granting Iridessa her most cherished wish. I love how Iridessa and Remi's families showed their unconditional love for them and didn't judge them for who they loved. The love scenes were definitely 🔥🔥🔥 no matter who they involved. This is the first polyamorous book that I've read before and Ms. Brown did an excellent job with the subject matter.
Whew…I was wondering when we were going to get a follow up on these three. I was NOT disappointed. In fact, it was just as nasty as I expected with three times the love. I enjoyed watching both Remi and Des come to terms with what they wanted and experiencing the love they craved. Now JaQuan was EVERYTHING. That man was attentive and he loved Des enough to let her pursue something with Remi without feeling slighted. He made Remi feel just as safe an secure in their relationship and it was swoonworthy. I loved the support that their family members gave them. It was beautiful to witness.
Lately I been learning a lot about poly life it's not that bad at all very interesting ok I will say that sure help me look at something.. For me I would want it to be two guys that give BDE he would for sure have to bring his A game like my husband does Everytime
But I really enjoyed des relationship with Jay he knew what it was He was ok with sharing his girlfriend but he also knew that Her friend wanted more to she wants Jay as well that's why she was distant But in the end Des got to have both of them so does Jay!!! In the end everyone is happy that's all that should matter
And I love her down bad every time! Des, JaQuan & Remi we’re an absolute JOY to experience! It was raunchy, sexy & HELLA sweet! Don’t think you can have it all?! Let these 3 learn you something different! These 3 were introduced in “Something She Can Feel”, although you don’t have to, I recommend reading it first to get the full immersive background development of their story.
P. S. JaQuan IS A BLACK KING!!! You’ll love the book off the strength of him alone and how he’s so gentle and loving toward Des & Remi. *SHIVERS* Love Him!
Woo, lawd! The sex scenes in this book are 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵. I promise you, you’re going to have to change underwear after reading this book. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.
This is a story about overcoming the fear of living in one’s truth and the fear of what other’s think. Go after what makes you happy. You won’t know what will happen until you try. I’m happy for Iridessa, JaQuan, and Reminisce’s happy for now and hope it results in a HEA. Although, this is an unconventional relationship, it works for them and makes them happy.
I couldn’t wait for this story to come out after Something She Could Feel. I’m a huge fan of poly relationships stories so seeing how this one played out was something I looked forward to, and Kimberly did not disappoint. I loved these three together and though I was excited about their joining I’m glad it wasn’t immediate. The story moved at an amazing pace and give each character their time to feel their feelings and come together when everyone was ready. If you haven’t read this story or the one connected to this one, you’re missing out! Oh! And did I mention how spicy this was!!? 🌶😏
This short story was sooo good and spicy. The character development was great and I love how the author was able to highlight a black poly relationship.
The MMC JaQuan alluded BDE and was so laid back. I’m glad both FMC was able to fully explore their sexuality in a safe space to under more about their wants.
I also lived how the author portrayed a black family being very acceptable to different styles of sexuality and relationships!
I read this story for a book club I have with my sisters and I would definitely recommend! 💖
