As it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; but the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.

Luke 17:28-30

Mason Lot is in-house counsel for Poseidon Capital, a major Wall Street firm that serves as a front company for the National Security State. His job pays well and gives him insight into the corrupt shadow government, but it can't help with his problems at home.

Mason assumed that the hefty price tag for his daughter’s private school would buy him a pass from the insanity plaguing New York’s public school system. Nevertheless, indoctrinated by propaganda, Wynter wants to transition into being a boy. When Mason refuses to pay for the procedure, Wynter turns to the state for help. CPS removes her because Mason is not providing a gender-affirming environment. Mason tries to fight back through the courts but hits a dead end. With no other course of action available, Mason is forced to take alternative measures to protect his daughter.

As if things weren’t bad enough, demand for US dollars is cut in half triggering a cascading failure in America’s currency. Prices skyrocket, markets plummet, and chaos breaks out in the streets. A charismatic aristocrat named Ange de Bourbon rides in on a white horse with a plan for a common global currency that can save the West from certain economic ruin.

Amidst the turmoil, Mason witnesses a plane crash, several abandoned cars blocking traffic, and hears reports of people who have simply disappeared with no explanation. Social media posts, videos, and even emails discussing the strange phenomenon are quickly taken down. The media is silent about the vanishings but has no shortage of mayhem to report.
Mason gets a call from his boss at Poseidon telling him that he should move his family out of New York City by the following day. Mason understands that his boss knows more than he’s allowed to say. He implores his wife and four daughters to get out of the city before it’s too late.

A two-thousand-year-old prophecy has predicted a time of unparalleled tumult that will be poured out upon the earth. Over a seven-year period, God’s final judgments will rain down as sword, famine, and plague, being revealed as seven seals, seven trumpets, and seven vials of God’s wrath.

The more Mason learns about this archaic writing by the Apostle John, the harder it is becoming for him to deny that he has been left behind. If this gauntlet of destruction is to be survived, Mason Lot will have to decipher the ancient texts, put together a plan, and pray like it’s the end of the world.

Don’t miss this gut-wrenching account of the end times. Jump into the adventure today!

As with all works by Mark Goodwin, this book contains no profanity and no embarrassing sex scenes. However, if you're offended by conservative principles and references to Scripture, this book might not be for you.

Great book!

This follows Biblical prophesies very closely. The author gives you a reasonable interpretation of eschatology. its as good a scenario as any other. What if he is right on target? Are you ready? Lots if turns so hang on. Great read.

EXCITING

Whether you believe in the last day scenario, this book will make one think. All one has to do is look at what is going on today in the world. This book is fast-moving and far from dull. Check it out while I head over to book 2 in the series.

Excellent

I have read many of Mark Goodwin’s books. They are all good. I have found myself reading a Mark Goodwin book only to find out that I have already read it.

Thought provoking

Smooth reading that pulls you in and is very thought provoking. We as humans probably have no idea what it will be like when the rapture takes place but this book gives a fine example of how even our closest family members will not believe because they are to caught up in their selfish ways and worldly agendas. They book does a great example of each seal and the earthquakes and dawn turned to night, and how the new world order tries to make scientific excuses for the disasters that continue to strike the earth. The whole book was awesome. Being prepared for the rapture is an individual quest. Being left on earth does mean you are left for he'll eternity, no, it means you still have a part in society to play whether it be protecting love ones or fighting evil. Remember God has a plan for us all and he will use us as he pleases. One thing for sure, the new world order is the wrong side to be on.

I loved all the characters, great read. I look forward to reading the next book.

Seven Seals: A Post-Apocalyptic Tale of the End Times (The Days of Lot Book 1)

This book introduces the reader to many verses of Scripture which provide insight into the events of the end times. The story contains well developed characters with a tightly structured narrative.

I would have rated it 5 stars but felt like I was left hanging a little too much, waiting for the next in the series. It could've been a bit longer.
However, it was very well written. I really liked the way the author handled the disappearances. It was a bit different than most, and perhaps a bit more realistic. I found myself enjoying the characters. They were believable and easy to identify with.
I would recommend this book.

Mark Goodwin does an excellent job again of storytelling while also commenting on the pitfalls of our current society and the potential consequences of the path it is on. He does an excellent job in weaving this all together with a retelling of the story of Lot and the coming to faith of a family mixed up in it all. Excellent book!

Balanced & believable

.. without understating the seriousness of what is to come. Good representation of family relationships, & a pleasure to read how stressful situations can be described without expletives.

A Realistic Novel

The first part the book indicates how society has slipped into self destruction. A must read for anyone seeking truth.

This is a great Christian Apocalypse book based on the Book of Revelation. It is well written and fast read. It keeps you wanting to know more. It definitely shows the fall of man and that some can be truly redeemed by GOD’s grace through His son, Jesus Christ. I hope Book 2 continues Mason Lot’s adventure in the Tribulation time.
Mark Goodwin also talks about the need for being prepared. I’m a late starter but after going through Hurricane Irma when living in Florida, I now see the need for preparation. Also I have friends in Asheville, NC who were not prepared for Hurricane Helene and now 3/2025 are still digging out.
This world is falling quickly and we must be prepared but a lot of Christians say oh I don’t have to worry I’ll be rapture lined up to heaven but what if all these seminary schools that teach the same belief is wrong and the rapture doesn’t come before the tribulation and it’s just a John Nelson, Darby dream that CI Scofield put in his first seminary study Bible for missionaries as an alternative belief but has now become gospel in North America?
Either way signs and disaster will come before the Tribulation period and we need to be prepared.

Excellent as always!

Mr. Goodwin, really dials down on
the dark, scary, slippery slope our society
( well really the world),
has gone to.

He is not afraid to confront,
the brainwashing of much of the school system today...
things like the:
so'called apocalyptic earth killing: climate change,
the ever so fun, popular trans movement,
being pushed onto the young impressionable minds
etc. etc. etc.

And yeah! At least in this series, he is going with a pre-tribulation format!

I love, love, love, he includes scripture
starting with each chapter!!!!

He writing is excellent, characters are well defined etc.
It is clean, no cussing or swearing,
and no immoral lurid sexual scenes!

BUT...as always....now I have to WAIT
for the next in the series...
harumph! I should have just given this a one stars boo-hoo!

No, it deserves 5 stars,
but do I deserve.... having to wait....
Right.... patience is a virtue,
I am sadly lacking! sigh!

Very good story incorporating some of the "end times" prophecies from Revelation. Mason Lot is a lawyer for a fund that illegally trades on the stock market to raise money for "black government projects." He is troubled by a rebellious / confused daughter who wants to be a boy, and a couple of other older daughters whose husbands are losers. When he gets warning that something bad will happen in NYC, he heads south to FL. His wife is just a drunk and stays behind along with the older daughters. NYC is nuked. Mason and fam have to figure out how to survive in the changing world.

Lots to think about here. Goodwin explores how global financial blocks (BRICS) and the use of crypto currency can cause as much damage as modern armies. Further, how crypto currency controlled by national or international banks can be used offensively against citizens or can be used as reparation payments for those who feel 'wronged.' Also, there is a lot of discussion about the new world order and how nations lose their identity and sovereignty for "the greater good."

Good story, not overly churchy....just the right amount.

A very plausible story is told in this novel. I see common errors in so many novels, but there were very few within this story. There are just enough Biblical references to make it interesting and the novel's characters have reactions that I consider normal reactions when exposed to extraordinary events.

If you want a good, quick read about the rapture and the following days, this book should be on your short list. This book isn't all Bible verses and the rapture is almost a side story within this novel. It's just a good, decent read.

This was an excellent book however, I am disappointed because I went into it not really knowing anything about it. I went into it based off of the title. I thought that this was going to be a story about The Days of Lot in scripture or in other words, the story of Sodom and Gomorrah, but this was basically a story of the end times specifically illustrated by the prophets and what Jesus spoke in the gospels about the end of days and mostly about the book of revelation of that makes sense so I was expecting a completely different story

This is a fictional story that is very thought-provoking. I could not put this book down. As a Christian, I loved how Mark Goodwin brought biblical passages into modern-day times (showing how things 'could' happen). To me, this is more real than the Left Behind Series.

As a Christian, you can read this with hope; as someone who does not believe in Christ, may it lead you to research more on your own. I am already going to pre-order book two in the series.

COMPELLING

I started this book earlier today and just finished this first book of Seven Seals, Days of Lot, book 1. By the end, I found myself so absorbed in the story, was surprised that it read as fast as it did! Glad I can jump right into Book 2 of the series!
Mark Goodwin writes with clarity and his characters are easy to understand and identify with. His books, though fiction, made me wake up and take notice that we indeed are living in the last days.

Another Good End Times Book

The characters are fictional but the prophesies in this book are real. Read what is going to happen sooner than later. So much of Biblical Prophecy its coming true at this time in our history.
My one question to every reader is this...
Are you ready to come face to face with Jesus Christ?
If you don't belong to Him... today is a great day to ask Jesus to save you and come into your life.
Amen 🙏❤️

The series is very interesting and you might lose track of time while reading.

A lot to think about, both lessons of scripture and preparedness.

The author’s commentary at the start of Volume One alone is worth the purchase price.

Volumes 2 & 3 seem less developed than Volume 1.

A good read and recommend.

Knowledge from a new point

Well written end time viewed from a financial perspective and the aftermath of the Rapture. Striking, informative thoughts given to how a two friends learn their beliefs were not grounded in truth. Leaves the reader wanting more
