This book found me at exactly the right time in my life, as I’m healing and growing and realizing that some people won’t be in my next phase of this journey. I will say that it is not as deep or complex as other poetry I’ve read. However, the author managed to tell me exactly what I needed to here and make me cry in the early hours of the morning. I think everyone can relate to what the author is describing, and everyone can learn a little bit about themselves through this book.

This book is such a beautiful, soul-soothing collection of poems. It feels like a warm hug, gentle, honest, and healing. Every page invites you back to yourself. I loved it so much, and I definitely recommend it to anyone on a self-healing, self-love, or self-discovery journey.

Favourite Quotes ❤️

“To my present self Remember to be here. I need you here. The past had its fair share of you. The future is yet to have you. So just be here.”

“Remember to take care of you. You are where you live. You are your home.”

“Eventually you will learn how to unapologetically want more for yourself more love, peace, or respect. And on that day, you will stop permitting yourself to be half loved or half chosen by people despite how much you love them.”

“I hope you learn how to view yourself from a place of grace, understanding that you will fail at something while you're great at others. On both days, you are enough.”

“Eventually you realise that there was no way you could’ve protected yourself from some of the painful experiences you’ve been through and that is when you forgive yourself for putting the blame on you for so long.”

This book of poetry was given to me by a friend at exactly the right time. The author explores many topics throughout the book, but my favorite has to be her poems about how someone is going to come along & love you exactly the right way, regardless of what’s happened in the past. I gave this book 4 stars instead of 5 because some of the poems are very similar, but it’s a great read for anyone who needs to hear that their time is coming.

A comforting little collection. I will say that I find it to be more prose than poetry. It helps to inspire healing and growth and finding yourself again, which came to me at just the right time. A positive short read!

it’s a good collection but a lot of the poems are so identical that it becomes redundant and it makes me feel like I’m reading the same page.

I always feel weird rating poetry idk but this just didn’t do it for me. I identified with a few but overall it felt like scrolling inspirational quotes on Pinterest. Repetitive and bland
