A.E. Jürgens grew up overseas as a diplomat’s daughter, living in over nine different countries and five continents. She recently settled down in the United States with her South African husband and two sons. But that hasn’t stopped her from exploring enchanted lands or fantastic realms through the pages of her favorite novels and the letters on her keyboard.
Can't wait to read the finale. This series is absolutely enchanting and beautiful. Lyrical and vivid with the best slow burn romance I've read in a long time. December can't come fast enough.
Does anyone know if this book release will happens on 2025??? I can’t find anything on her page or anywhere about when it will be release. The only thing I can find is that it was supposed to be released on 2023 December. Any updates??
This truly a beautiful work of art. My heart broke for multiple reasons. Aisling and Lir was an amazing slow burn their love was beautiful and wild as their fire together ❤️. Also, Lir is a daddy material 😍. I am so happy I found this series that was recommended by @books_and_crafts and @mandy_bookingchaos. I have been so thankful to be a part of the ARC team for this beautiful book. The fantasy and world building was done amazingly. I cannot recommend this series enough to anyone who will listen. @ashleymetzlerauthor I have not loved a series so much in a long time. Thank you for building this fantasy world.
I’ve been following this trilogy for years, and it’s safe to say the storytelling and worldbuilding have been nothing short of spectacular! The way Ashley wove politics, mythos, and magic into a rich tapestry made this series a true standout in the genre. I fell in love with these characters, felt their heartbreaks and triumphs, and eagerly awaited this long-awaited finale.
That said, the last 100 pages were a gut-punch, and not in the way I’d hoped. The pacing suddenly shifted, key chapters and context felt missing, and the emotional payoff we’d spent three books building toward was wrapped up in a single cup. I was hopeful that with the recent republishing and rebranding, it felt like a promise that the big ending to Aisling was finally here. Unfortunately, the very ending let me down.
SPOILERS BELOW The entire trilogy built up the idea of Racat, the gift of Ina, the curse breaker, the prophesied sorceress, only for everything to be solved by a magical cup. After those years of build-up, the solution felt like a shortcut that undercut the sacrifices we’d invested in.
Still, it’s a beautifully crafted world I won’t forget, even if the ending left me wishing for more depth and resolution.
