Designed for a second-level statistics course, this text shows students how to interpret, present, and write up the results for each statistical technique. Students also learn how to compute each technique using SPSS software. Covers advanced statistics without overemphasizing advanced math. New to this Edition: All SPSS directions and screenshots have been updated to Version 20 of the software.
I think this book is badly in need of a lecturer to go with it. Maybe SPSS should be included in this book. I was prereading it for graduate school and I've taken stats four times before and I literally have no idea what this book was saying and I know and like stats and know SPSS. I will try to remember to update this review at the end of the class.
Wow, wow, wow!!! This book was amazing at how it can explain what to do when working with statistical methods and the language of SPSS. I have learned a lot and will continue to use this reference book as I have found the programming book to be most beneficial.
I hate statistics, but I loved this book. I learned how to use SPSS and run statistical analysis. You have to give a book some credit if it can teach you math without a professor.
