The only thing more dangerous than their rivalry is their attraction...
Hockey player and human golden retriever Calum Sloan attracts fun - and trouble - everywhere he goes. But sports journalist Maisie Prescott is hellbent on tearing the troublemaker down. This year, Calum vows to end her slander so that he can focus on hockey, but a steamy encounter at a masquerade party changes everything. Calum needs to uncover the identity of the mysterious woman he shared an unforgettable night with. Is she the same one writing lies about him? When the masks come off, their true feelings are revealed.
Offside Attraction by Violette Paradis is a wonderful read with mystery, enemies, masks, romance, sufficient steam to start a fire (no its’ not an impossibility, just read this novel!), superstitions, and good old-fashioned chemistry between two people who have hurt one another and eventually find common ground, and then love. This was so easy to read and un-put-down-able once I started reading, until I finished. Callum has so many sides, but they all have their charms, and Maisie (one of my favorite names in all the world) is going to get her revenge for what he did years before. I love that she loves making him squirm, just as much as he enjoyed issuing his declaration of war to her when she continues to slander him. This is one good, solid romance you want on your book shelf. Just be careful not to get too burned as you turn the pages!
What a fantastic addition to the series. I absolutely loved Calum & Maisie's story. He's a hockey player & trouble seems to follow him. She's a sports journalist that takes great pleasure in tearing him down in the press. A masquerade party completely flips thing between them. There's no denying the inferno that sparks between them. Will this attraction to a HEA or broken hearts?.

Calum and Maisie's story of high school hatred/journalism hatred to forever love.
Maisie has been given multiple assignments to write about Calum by her boss. But when she's writing slop about his life and escapades he can't do anything until he figures out who she really is.
Maisie wants nothing to do with Calum because of the pain she endored in high school because of him.
Can they find a way pass the past and find their forever love?.

The third book in the Jacksonville Stallions series. Hockey player and human golden retriever Calum Sloan and sports journalist Maisie Prescott/s story. The story is well written with a great storyline that held my interest throughout. There are enemies to lovers, villains, a masquerade party and a steamy romance. The story was well worth reading. I automatically dislike books when characters hold a grudge over something from high school.. especially when the other mc doesn’t even remember that as anything significant!!!
This novel is a sports enemies to lovers novel. Maisie is a columnist who repeatedly reports on hockey player Calum. Because of their rivalry and the popularity of her columns about him she goes on the road with the team. Little does anyone know that sparks are flying and Maisie may be figuring out that there is more to Calum than his shenanigans. I liked Calum’s character because he wasn’t depicted as the traditional playboy sports star. He had depth and a sense of humor. I highly recommend this novel for anyone who enjoys hockey romances!
