Heroes aren't always found in comics. Sometimes they're disguised as your best friend.
After twelve years of silence, Tatum’s dad reappearing in her life has been nothing short of a nightmare. With anxiety and panic attacks that have come along with him, on top of adjusting to college, she's really looking forward to having her best friend back on this side of the world again.
When Jay returns, with glowing eyes, bigger muscles, and faster reflexes after his time abroad, he seems different. And Tatum finds herself feeling strangely attracted to him. As more changes occur, and her life is plunged into darkness, it's revealed that heroes and villains are closer to her than she realizes.
All Tatum wants is for her life to go back to normal. But Jay is obviously keeping secrets, and she has some of her own to try and hide. Now she’s stuck deciding if the truth is worth the heartache or if some things are better left unknown.

Wow! This book was such a page turner! I literally did not want to put it down whatsoever! Saving Tatum was my first ever superhero romance book, and I was not disappointed! My boyfriend got me interested in the show “The Flash,” and so I thought I would give a superhero book a try when I had come across it. The relationship between the two MCs is absolutely everything 😍 This book was very well written and very well thought out. It is a friends to lovers. This book truly did not miss a beat! I am definitely looking forward to reading the rest of the series when it comes out! If you haven’t read a superhero romance before, Saving Tatum is the great place to start!

For many years, Tatum’s dad has been out of the picture. From the day he returns home, she starts to have anxiety and panic attacks. Her best friend has been gone for awhile and finally makes a return home. When Jay returns, he looks nothing like he did before he left. He’s got big muscles, appears to be faster, and his eyes have a glow to them. And who couldn’t resist starting to fall for a man like that? Tatum soon finds out how close good and evil really are to her. She learns more about the people around her, including things that can switch her life all sorts of directions. She just wants to be normal, to go back to the way it use to be before her father returned. Is knowing the truth worth the pain and heartache that it may cause or would it be better just to move on?
The plot of the story was really good and I think my 16 year old self would have looooooooved (possibly even been obsessed with) this book. Unfortunately it was just a little too YA for me, a 31 year old. So that's why it gets a 3 for me..... buuuut I will say the MMC is a PERFECT captain America/superman swoon-worthy book boyfriend and that's for sure worth reading about!
I also really appreciate the tiny details Meghan puts into her story. The details really make the story come alive and make you feel like you could be Tatum and living in her world.

First of all I have received an ARC copy from the author and all my opinions are my own. I've been waiting for such a perfect read! Friends become lovers ✅ Superheroes/Marvel's Shield feel/Sci Fi feel ✅ Perfect ensemble of characters both main lead and supporting characters ✅ Strong female lead ✅ Ending making you excited for the next book ✅ The author was able to not only bring you a love story but gave the main female lead such character growth that I was blown away.. I laughed. I cried. I swooned. I'm so excited for everyone to read as I've been through the author's journey not only as an arc reader but a beta reader.
This book was quite the page turner. JT was such an amazing couple and getting to see the obstacles the two of them could overcome together was absolutely amazing. I personally felt a lot of the feeling that Tatum was dealing with whenever she had interactions with her father, it hit a little too close to home but it was so wonderfully done. Her relationship with her parents and Jay’s parents were beautiful and the plot was very well done. I love that there was time taken to build the foundation of the story before jumping right into things. I do feel like the book had a bit of a YA feel to it which the way that Tatum handled some situations and I don’t normally read YA anymore. But this book was very good and I’d recommend it!

This book from page one had me drawn into the storyline. As the reader you can feel the emotions of the characters and the storyline has you on your toes flipping the pages as quickly as your eyes can read to come upon the next chapter. The characters are both relatable and complex, which makes the read unpredictable and exciting! The author does a fantastic job with descriptions and details that make you as the reader feel like you are actually present in the story! 10/10 would recommend this book to anyone! LOVED IT!!
I will say I Beta read this back in 2021 and in 2022. I have not read the final version but once I do I will update my review, rating + dates read again ☺️
NA Superhero romance with a swoony book boyfriend - what more can you ask for?! If you are a friends of superhero's, action/a little suspense, and friends to lovers - you will enjoy this book!
Amazing work for a first time author and I can't wait to reread it + follow along with this series and meet more characters!
Tatum is dealing with so much and her dad returning is sure adding to the mix. Jay is an old friend who has been gone for a while, but returns grown up with a very grown up body. He is there to help her and more as he shows his true colors. Loved their chemistry, protectiveness, twists, revelations, steam, entertaining situations and banter. It is great when the romantic storyline starts with time and friendship first. A wonderful tense, romantic storyline with a terrific ending.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I was intrigued by the blurb as I am a huge marvel fan. I was not disappointed as the book delivered. This book is well written with plenty of action, drama, banter and romance. The attention to details is really good.
Loved Evelyn, her character growth is really good to witness. Her chemistry with Jay is everything. Love their push pull and banter.
Can’t wait for the next book.

Well! What a whirlwind. I went through so many emotions! Loved Jay and Tatum tho. They so cute and wholesome 😍 this book really laid a good groundwork for the rest of the series.
Speaking of… I need the next book because that little cliffhanger (not major life and death) but defo enough to get me invested. I need to know.
Super-hero romance is definitely a genre that isn’t flooded with books! This is a great debut novel by this author! I enjoyed the story and loved that they were friends first. I can’t wait to read many more by this author!
