Victor McGlothin almost lost an athletic scholarship due to poor reading skills. Ultimately, he overcame that obstacle and later completed a Masters degree in Human Relations & Business. After he developed a love for the written word, Victor left a vice president position with a local bank to pursue a career in literature. He now lives in the Dallas area with his wife and two sons.

I've always loved telling stories, just ask anyone who knew me in my youth. They'd say, "that Victor sho' can lie!" They were right, I could come up with some whoppers; still can. Now I'm trying to earn a living writing fiction telling lies. Some things never change. "Oh man, I love my job."

I gave “Sinful,” 3.5 stars, bc at times it was laughable how avoidable their problems were. EVERYTHING (except Dior being a psychopath) boiled down to a lack of communication, which is how I could tell a man wrote it. just kidding, Victor!! But fr it was very unrelatable. I wish I could post a second review with spoilers, so I could ask wtf with some specifics.

Now, what did I like about the book?? The nonstop drama!! That’s what I came for and that’s what I got!! I would recommend Sinful to any fan of Tyler Perry movies.

To me, this book finally got me intrigued a little around 180 pages or so and the end was like "what"...drama, I guess it calls for a sequel or just end the marriage as a whole, Chandelle is childish in some parts! Marvin easily fell to make out with the deceitful, manipulative cousin Dior. 2.5 stars max.

I listened to the audiobook and enjoyed it immensely. Just goes to show women without a man to be a sounding board for a women who has one, especially as good as Marvin. I am looking to get Sinful 2 soon!

This book took me a little bit to get into, but once I did, I was riveted!

It is full of drama and a little humor.

It reads like a Tyler Perry movie. Not the humorous Madea ones. but the serious ones.

I will definitely read more by this author.

Dramatic Styling

Dior is always involved in a constant collision with catastrophe, causing trouble wherever she goes. Her issues are so severe, she's been sent to an asylum. While she claims that it was all a part of her master plan, some question if she shouldn't be locked away permanently. Scheming all over the place, Dior has set a plan in motion to destroy Chandelle, her cousin's, marriage. Hoping to be in the position to provide Marvin, Chandelle's loyal and loving husband, with the consolation he'll need. However, before she can completely get the mayhem flowing, she finds herself trapped in someone else's maze and there just may be someone else admiring Marvin from afar. Dooney, Dior's fraternal twin, knows that his sister is just too sinful, and tries to use his words of wisdom to guide his cousin back to her husband before things get too out of hand. Will Chandelle be able to salvage her marriage or has too much discontentment been sprinkled?

SINFUL is the very first of book I've read by Victor McGlothin. Whether misunderstood or misdiagnosed, the Wicker family provides readers with plenty! Chaos, obscurity and entanglements keep this story going. I was a little perturbed at the foolishness and materialistic ways of Chandelle, but I liked that she grew throughout the story. I can't begin to imagine what they can possibly have awaiting us in SINFUL TOO.

This was an interesting story. The characters were well developed and by the end of the novel I felt they could have been my co-workers or church members. The events were so intertwined. The book showed how one seemingly insignificant move in our life can and often make a tremendous difference in how life goes. We often get complacent with our lives and miss opportunities to excel with our God-given talents. In these low slumps, we sometimes latch on to negative influences and feedback. We know these individuals are not gong to contribute to our growth and success yet we can not seem to untangle ourselves before it is too late. As in this book, we are left trying to recuperate and re-establish ourselves. The book's ending left me wondering what would happen next and ready for the sequel.

Co-worker gave this to me as an audio book - will start tomorrow and see how it goes.

I had no expectations on this book since a co-worker shared the audio book with me. This was my first book by this author and I can honestly say that it won't be my last. I am looking forward to listening to the sequel as well Sinful Too.

Victor McGlothin wrote an inspiring tale of love. I fell in love with Marvin and Chandelle and I remained hopeful their love would survive the antics of cousin Dior. I also fell in love with other supporting characters-Super Dave and Dooney. Thank you Victor McGlothin for writing this tale of young Black love.

This story had a lot of drama and I was getting irritated with the primary characters and wanted someone to return Dior to the mental intuition. The ending was to be desired and I will most likely not read the second installment. Three stars for the drama.

WOW...so we really live like this? I love the response of the victimized relative who demonstrated integrity in the midst of her midnight hour...cannot wait to read the sequel...

It took me a little over a hundred pages to get into the book. Once I did, it seemed like the book just ended, no conclusion, no closure, just THE END. Sinful Too is low on my To Read list.

This book was very good. Not vulgar at all, just the right amount of sex and scandal. Dior, Dior, Dior, the girl is a hot misguided mess. It was a good read and I look forward to the sequel.

I really enjoyed the relationship between Marvin and Chandelle. How sometimes even good marriages hit a rough patch.
