Jamie was born into a big, crazy family of 6 children. Being the youngest, she always got away with anything and would never shut up. Constantly letting her imagination run wild, her teachers were often frustrated when her ‘What I did on the weekend’ stories contained bunyips and princesses.

Growing up, Jamie did the sensible things and obtained a Bachelor of Business degree from Southern Cross University and worked hard to gain her membership with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia.

Yet nothing compared to writing. Quitting the rat race to spend quality time with her laptop named Lily, Jamie has written several novels and screenplays. Spanning a number of genres and mediums, Jamie writes whatever inspires her from ghost stories to teenage love stories to tantalising murder mysteries. Nothing is off limits.

A self-confessed television addict, dog lover, Taylor Swift fan, and ghost hunter, Jamie loves nothing more than the thrill of sharing her stories.

I think the book was amazing and so cool! I think this because snow white was very rude and that was so suprising! In the books she is this sweet girl but it was actally her step-mother SHOCKING i know right!! I loved it how the queen killed snow white and it wasent even her fault and soon she figured out she was alive and she was getting married, wow. At least the step-mother found a true love even if she was old. The end was so happily ever after! Loved it :D

Well Written, But Evil Wins

I know, I know, that happens a lot in the real world, but I don't read fiction books to hear about the real world. Gratefully everything turned out well for the kingdom and especially the "Evil Queen". This one was well written, just a bit darker than I hoped.

Killing Snow White is told from the Queen's point of view.

The Queen tells the readers about how happy she is married to the King - Snow's dad - and how she is happy to have a daughter, the only problem is Snow is very jealous that she has to now share her fathers time with her new 'Mother'. The Queen thought that Snow's jealousy would fade overtime but her hope ended up with the King dying.

Snow demanded that her step mother gave her the Kingdom but the Queen didn't think that Snow could handle the burden at her age but Snow wanted her Kingdom.

Believing that Snow needed to get away from the palace the Queen asked her friend the Huntsman to find somewhere in the forest that Snow loves for her to live secretly as they believe it is best for Snow, this makes it easier for Snow to gossip about the Queen.

The Story tells of Snow trying on a dress that the Queen had made for her and how Snow pulled the corset so tight that she passed out and Snow had the dwarfs fooled into believing that the Queen tried to kill her, then Snow claimed she was given a poisoned comb. The Queen then tells of how she see's some fruit and decides that it would be the perfect gift for Snow which she delivers herself but when she arrives at Snow's door she only has the apple left which she urges Snow to try and then Snow chokes on it and the dwarfs enter their home and force the Queen to flee.

When the Queen returns to the castle and checks on Snow through her magic mirror she see's that Snow looks dead and this makes the dwarfs sad and everyone blamed the Queen for Snows death. The Queen is shocked when she eventually hears that Snow is alive and marrying Prince Charming.

So...this is a version of Snow White in which Snow White has always resented her stepmother. The stepmother, meanwhile, narrates this story with the sense that she is not self-aware of any sense of resentment in return.

This version of the queen is timid, passive and insecure, which in turn, makes her a sympathetic contrast to Snow's resentful teen angst.

That said, the queen's first active decision to seems to me entirely removed from reality unless she wished ill on her stepdaughter.

The queen of this version is astonishingly naive, making the same mistakes again and again--but this is something I feel is true to real life, when a mother-figure is trying to appease her way into the good graces of a daughter who has decided to hate her.

So...I'm not entirely sure what to make of this. As usual with this series, too many events are glossed over to have a solid sense of what is actually happening, and I find it hard to believe that anybody is above reproach.

I did like the ending. And this has been my favorite installment so far in this series.

A Cool addition to the original story

I alway wondered about why the Queen was so wicked? No one ever thinks that maybe a Step child could be the reason for the animosity between a Step parent and child. A child can be jealous of the new step parent also.

The classic Snow White story is quickly spun as to explain it from the Wicked Queen's point of view. After marrying the King and being introduced to his daughter, Snow, she is ecstatic by her new life. But suddenly, the king dies, and Snow completely resents the Queen. The Queen has always wanted a daughter and she really wants to build a bridge between them. But Snow is desperate to hate the Queen and ruin her life forever. This story will keep you reading and prevent you from putting it down.

This short story was a really well written fairy tale retelling. Told from the Queen's p.o.v. instead of Snow White's, this story paints a completely different picture than what we all know. Plot twists everywhere, this book is an enjoyable read. The only complaints I have are that it could have been a good 20 pages longer and the writing was better in the second book of this series. 3.5 stars.

While the story was enjoyable I absolutely hated Snow White. She should have been punished. Someone should have realized that she was a monster and something bad should have happened to her. The only good thing was that the queen got to fall in love again.

Honestly this would have been better if there was some justice.

Just as good as Cinderella is Evil, full of charm and I like how it sticks to the original story mostly just from a different point of view. It is a clever endearing quick read, with a brilliant ending, definitely worth the read.
