It is a very good thing that Pathfinder Adventure Paths have such a Player Guide. It informs players, in a spoiler-free way, how to prepare characters without worrying about being unfit for the pre-made campaign, while at the same time still allowing for a huge range of creative character ideas and concepts to flourish. The campaign trait system ensures immediate character motivation for joining the adventure and I've started using it in my own homemade campaigns.
