Claimed by A.K. Rose (Atlas Rose) Rating: ★★★☆☆ Book 6 of the Blood Ties series
“You were my weapon… now you’re my salvation.”
I went into *Claimed* hoping for resolution — the kind that brings clarity after chaos, healing after havoc. What I got instead was... more. More questions. More blood. More chaos. And yes — more spice. So. Much. Spice.
To be fair, I wasn’t bored — not once. A.K. Rose has this ability to keep you reading, even if you’re not sure what exactly you’re reading anymore. There's a kind of madness in this world that’s become oddly comforting. The pacing is relentless, the emotional stakes are high, and the sex? Well, let’s just say there’s a reason readers are using death emojis and pregnancy metaphors in their reviews.
London is once again a walking kink dictionary — unhinged, possessive, and impossible to ignore. I don’t even blame Vivienne anymore. That man opens his mouth and suddenly biology, logic, and dignity all cease to matter.
Colt and Carven also get their moments to shine and hurt us. Their backstories continue to be gut-wrenching, and while sometimes the trauma dumps come out of nowhere, they still managed to catch me off guard. Colt slipping into “Beast” mode? Peak.
Vivienne continues to be a captivating mix of fury and fragility — a queen balancing daggers and devotion. I loved her evolution through the series, though in this one, she occasionally slips into emotional loops that feel repetitive. I still admired her loyalty and the complex love she holds for her chaotic men and her connection to Ryth — but yes, her ongoing pettiness toward Helene? A little beneath her. You’ve survived assassination attempts and torture, girl. Maybe just let it go.
Now, structurally? We’re starting to feel the wear and tear. There are so many threads now that even the plot seems unsure which ones to pull. Characters drop names like we’ve known them forever, plot twists are hinted at but never fully delivered, and the editing is… *a suggestion at best*. I found myself rereading sections not to savour them but to work out if I’d missed something important — only to realise it was never really explained at all.
Final thoughts: *Claimed* is a wild, horny, blood-drenched fever dream — and for some, that’s exactly what they’re here for. I get it. There’s something addictive about this madness. But for me, the emotional payoff didn’t quite match the emotional build-up. I still care about these characters, and I might keep reading just to see if this tangled knot of trauma, lust, and destiny ever truly unravels.
Would I recommend it? If you’ve made it this far, you already know you’re in too deep. So yes — read it. Just maybe don’t expect all the answers. Expect kink, chaos, and a hell of a lot of curveballs. And maybe a few lines that make you blush and question your entire moral compass.
