Lizzie Brown is about to have the destination wedding her dreams. But as this former preschool teacher knows, being a demon slayer makes everything more complicated. The vengeful Earl of Hell is still on her tail. And now it seems that one of the guests at the eccentric, seaside mansion is possessed and trying to kill her. Maybe she should just elope.
The groom, studly shape-shifting griffin Dimitri Kallinikos, vows to protect her at all costs. Yet even he is acting suspicously. And minions of the devil are popping up everywhere. Now Lizzie must protect her socialite mother, her Greek inlaws and her grandmother’s gang of biker witches – all of whom are convinced they know what’s best for her, and her big day. As the wedding draws closer, Lizzie has to learn who is behind the attacks – and fast – or risk losing everyone she loves..
New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Angie Fox writes sweet, fun, action-packed mysteries. Her characters are clever and fearless, but in real life, Angie is afraid of basements, bees, and going up stairs when it is dark behind her. Let’s face it. Angie wouldn’t last five minutes in one of her books.
Angie is best known for her SOUTHERN SPIRITS™ mysteries, and for her ACCIDENTAL DEMON SLAYER books.
When a book starts with the MC's biker witch grandma getting off her Harley, you know the book is gonna be interesting. Who has a biker witch grandma? That is seriously one cool grandma! Throw in the other biker witches, a griffin, a dragon, a talking dog, a ghost, a demon and you have the recipe for a fun and exciting book.
The characters are so much fun in this book. The witches are so quirky and fun that you can't help but love them. I love Pirate! My favorite type of dog is a Jack Russell but this one talks AND has a pet dragon. How can you not love that?
I loved their wedding. Lizzie & Dmitri do not have a normal life so a normal wedding just simply isn't in the cards for them. The author did it perfectly.
Overall, a fun story in a series that I love just as much.
Outrageously funny band of biker witches help Lizzie battle the evil Earl and plan her wedding kept me laughing, because of its cast of quirky characters with magical spells that don’t always work the way they should and creatures that cover the supernatural world.
I picked this up on an Amazon free day and I’m glad it didn’t get buried in my Kindle.
This reader had the delight to read Angie Fox's first biker witch mystery, "The Accidental Demon Slayer" a while ago, and just finished book five of the series, "My Big Fat Demon Slayer Wedding" - it should be mentioned I have not read books two through four, however. The characters are still their rowdy selves, with enough detail given that a reader can easily visualize and empathize with and for them, without going back to previous books. Fox maintains her lively, fun and inviting storytelling voice in this book, the same voice that captivated this reader back on book one. Note to self, I really need to purchase the missing books for some laugh out loud entertainment.
The mystery was excellent, even though this reader had it partially figured out early on. Why? Because the path to the solution was so darn fun to follow! The setting was absolutely spectacular and this reader struggled to figure out if she wanted to live there, or was creeped out by the darkness of the place... and will admit she shuddered at each mention of spiders. The wedding dress gift given by the griffins to protagonist Lizzie had this reader rolling as she pictured not only Lizzie wearing the gown, but the look on snooty adoptive mom Hillary's face as she looked on. Griffin shifter and romantic lead Dimitri was adorable running from the estrogen packed rooms, even though he is still a strong, masculine, sexy - drool-worthy - protective male. Who can blame him, with so many females creating wedding favors? And each character was unique as their authenticity shined through in their believable dialogue, as well.
This was an action packed, thrilling ride that kept this reader in stitches, waiting for the next disaster to fall. I recall I had a favorite character in book one - Grandma Gertie - but was hard pressed to say I had a favorite in this book. They were all terrific, all lovable in their own way, and each played well off of one another. This reader was so wrapped up in the storyline and descriptions, she cannot recall if there were any grammar, punctuation or spelling issues in the tale, and truly hated to leave the world Fox created. I highly recommend this book for a very fun and entertaining read.
All Lizzie wants is to marry her griffin fiance in a simple ceremony. But bringing together her society-darling mother, witchy grandma and her biker clan, plus Dimitri's extended Greek family, there's bound to be chaos.
This was the first book I've read by Fox, after downloading the book for free last month. Yes, I realise it is the middle of the series, but I thought I'd jump in and give it a go.
The story is pretty easy to pick up, and I was soon immersed in the fun of Lizzie and Dimitri's wedding. After Lizzie hands over the wedding details to her control-freak mother (who coincidentally doesn't know she's a demon slayer, or that witches and griffins exist); and Dimitri's newly-extended family unexpectedly turns up at the venue; everything gets hysterical. Then there are the coven of harley-riding, swearing, leather-wearing, pensioner witches. Who like to change tea into alcohol, when the mood takes them.
It's already an awesome, and amusing mix, when suddenly not everything is as innocent as it appears. A demon, or demonic force, is intent on ruining Lizzie's wedding, and perhaps more. Which means Lizzie has to juggle keeping everyone happy, finding out what danger they're in, and getting married to the man she loves.
I really enjoyed this story, it's light-hearted and fun. Being the middle of an established series, the characters all felt really strong. This was a really nice paranormal mystery.
Planning a wedding is hard work, but when you're dealing with a controlling parent, crazy biker witches, and a demon? Things get downright impossible for Lizzie to manage. I am so glad her and Dimitri were on better footing for most of this one. Lizzie can drive me crazy, but I actually liked her more in this one since the beginning of the series. And unlike previous books, I was right there with her when it came to figuring a few this out. What I'm not quite clear on are: 1) how did they manage to touch the necklace if only Dimitri and Lizzie can? 2) was the possession only part of the time or was it really so slow that it took until the end for them to be under the demon's control? Everyone acted nearly normal, at least for them so that was a little confusing.
Overall, a typical day in a slayer's life indeed. I'm just happy her and Dimitri did get married and that she finally accepted the deeper bonding.
What would have been the most memorable time of any woman in loves life, her wedding, becomes an unforgettable week full of wacky chaos instead. It culminates in what is probably the most insane day that Lizzie Brown and her beloved Dimitri have ever survived.
I say survived because living through it by the smallest margin possible without more collateral damage was an actual paranormal miracle.
Instead of My Big Fat Demon Slayer Wedding it maybe should have been billed as The Day A Demon Slayer Finally Tapped Into Her Full Potential, it was that intense and at the same time had moments of utterly hysterical scenes as well.
Sorry to have missed book 4 but did not really feel the lack once this book got rolling along.
Am going to read book 7 soon and again skip the one before it and hope it really does as good of a job in keeping me up to speed.
This series has finally gotten comfortable for me so it is even more enjoyable now than in the begging three tales.
Lissie gets Biker witches, Griffin-were, society queen mother, and intended couple at her wedding -to comedic results
Weddings are stressful but when you have a demon after you it gets down right dangerous. Lissie is getting married to Dimitri and needs to come clean to her southern society queen mother. What is a wedding with out a talking dog, invisible baby Dragon, a coven of biker witches lead by her Grandmother, the groom's family of Griffin from Greece, a ghost bride, a Martha Stewart wannabe mother, a demon, and the elite of Southern aristocrats. Lots of action, comedy, and sexual content spice up this book. Leave reality at home and enjoy. This is a adult book due to sexual and violent content.
Only Lizzie could have a wedding with society mavens, shape-shifting griffins, and biker witches! Get ready for a rollercoaster of fun as Lizzie tries to find a way to tell her society maven mother that she's a demon slayer. Oh, and there seems to be demon activity on the estate her mother rented for the wedding. Plus, there's a problem with the wedding dress...
I've grown to love these characters, and I'm so excited to see how much Lizzie has grown through the series. The pacing in the book is excellent, so much so that I finished this in two sittings (would have been one, but I fell asleep after a very busy day 😂). If you're looking for an easy read that's urban fantasy and lots of fun, I can give this series my wholehearted recommendation.
I love the idea that Lizzy and Dimitry finally tying the knot. Even though their lives will be full of added adventures they will always have each other's back. Kissy finally discovers she has a complete extended family from her Griffin husband side who will do everything to protect her and make her happy in addition to her speaking dog Pirate and his Dragon pet. I can't wait to read their next adventure of the Demon Slayer.
If you want a good Paranormal Mystery Series then go grab Angie Fox's series Demon Slayer and let the fun loving laugh out loud reading begin. From becoming the New Demon Slayer to finding out you have a Boilogicle Grandmother and that she is a Witch and you are a Demon Slayer can have a super impact on a Gal, but hey when you throw in a Hotter The Hell Sexy Shape Shifting Greek Gargoyle what can a Demon Slayer do but to marry him before you are hunted down by the Earl of Hell.
So excited to find this copy free on Kindle. I've been lucky to read 4 of these books. These are warm hearted, humorous paranormal series and couldn't wait to read about their wedding a Greek Male sexy Griffin and his true love. Love the slayers witchy, biker granny and talking dog.
Lizzie is finally marrying Dimitri, her Griffin shifter. It's nothing but chaos when the her biker family, his Greek family clan, and her uptight mother all meet for the happy occasion. Along with a demon or two. Another enjoyable demon slayer story
Wow! Action, fast paced and funny. A wedding should be a happy occasion but not if someone is out to kill you before you say "I do". Who is behind the plot to kill her? A classroom of children was never as hard to control as the people attending her wedding. Loved it. If you felt frazzled by your wedding day - imagin her feelings.
This is the 5th book in Angie Fox's Biker Witches Mystery Series. This is a fun and funny paranormal, mystery, and romance read. The series doesn't have to be read in order for it to make sense, they are just good escapism books to read.
This is the 1st book I have read of this author and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was captivating . The four star review is only b/c I do not care for sex (y) scenes. It is much better to leave things to the imagination without getting into explicit detail. The story line was great.
How do you vanished a demon when all your loves ones becomes process and out to killed you? Trying to find the demon so you can saved your friends and relatives. Lots of mystery and romance in this book.
This was a free giveaway, and I had read one of the others in the series but not necessarily in order. It’s OK, but I enjoy her southern spirit series much better. This series has annoying biker witches and too many people and too much crisis all the time.
This is the fifth book of the series by Angie Fox and arguably the best one yet. A wedding set in a haunted house, it has demons, ghosts, witches, centaurs, and the bride's parents. Who could ask for more.
