The book is composed of self-standing chapters which focus on a particular issue pertaining to building relationships. The reader can choose his own “work-out” comprised of the most relevant chapters with the help of a test at the beginning of the book or choose one from the three programmes suggested by the authors. The idea is not to read the book back-to-back, but choose the most suitable “work-out”, which obviously varies for each person and their priorities. The chapters contain concise, easily digested tips and strategies for building relationships based in research combined with short but interesting anecdotes and stories. At the end of the chapter, the reader also receives “homework” that aims to put the theory into practice. It is a very readable book that targets various aspects of relationships. I did not read the whole book, but the chapters I found most useful did give me a lot to think about in terms of my own relationships and how to go about improving them.
