I honestly wonder if this series will ever stop amazing me? Like, honestly. Why is it so great? Because it breaks stereotypes and is unpredictable in most cases.
Especially this one. It has the most shocking beginning and definitely the strangest plot so far, because this is Grisia in his raw - honest to the light god - self. He doesn't hold any punches and this is the point where Grisia... is Grisia, without any constraints. Why? Because Grisia was attacked, ended up severly injured, got telleported to another kingdom, and got amnesia! (He was also rescued by the group of adventurers he, Neo and Aldrizzt encountered in the cave in book 3 and ended up hunting the unicorn! (Don't even ask)).
And then there is Scarlet... a tiny mysterious girl who stalksSun Grisia.
And finally, this book focuses on Ice and Blaze knights. I will just say... They don't have any great time this time around (like Leaf/Hell/etc before, seriously Sun, wtf are you doing to your knights that you love so much?), especially Ice. Although we do get to see his true self, as a caring mother, unrelenting person and the one who really cares about Sun.
Anyway, the conclusion: do not piss of Judgment Knight.
This series is fun, wonderful, with amazing world building, so go for it. it's damn great.

What does it matter if I can’t learn any sword skills?
Even if I’m not like my teacher, the strongest Sun Knight in history, my Twelve Holy Knights strengthened with my holy spells will become “The Strongest Twelve Holy Knights in history”!
There is nothing in the world that can bypass them to harm me! Even if I can’t use a sword, there is nothing worth my fear!

Another volume, another perfection.
This book introduces us to a deeper plot than just a standalone adventure, though it still has an ending. What happens when the perfect and benevolent Sun Knight gets amnesia and is found in a different kingdom? Who can he trust? His true self is more apparent in this book, which is basically him without any inhibitions, but we are still left with questions by the end of this as it is a prologue for what is to come.
The true gift of this volume though is the interaction among the 12 Holy Knights. It's mostly Sun and Ice, but it's nice to see how they actually are with each other apart from just hearing they have to work together. Once again, it has many funny lines and it's not boring at all to read through! Excited for more!

У меня тут во время прочтения просто истерика была. Насмеялась на год вперед. Автор юзнул фишку с потерей памяти и загадочными событиями, поэтому у меня аж руки трясутся в ожидании последующих томиков. Трабл в том, что их ждать долговато. Они, конечно, есть на английском, но читать на нем не хочу - элементарно упущу прорву юмора и подколок.
Теперь в режиме Хатико слежу за обновлениями пятого тома. Все-таки взбешенный Кара это то еще зрелище.

Wow, True nature of sun knight is quite dark. New adventure with new teammates. The hidden potential of sun knight is revealed. Story is funny as hell, except some dark scenes. They are quite dark.

Trong tập này, Sun Knight đột nhiên bị mất trí nhớ không rõ lí do, và đã gia nhập một đội thám hiểm cùng với mọi người. Frost Knight và Blaze Knight cũng được khắc họa tính cách rõ nét hơn. Frost khuôn mặt lạnh tanh, nhưng lại có sở thích làm đồ ngọt, thật là tréo ngoe :))) Blaze thì lúc nào cũng hùng hùng hổ hổ...

Phải nói đây là bộ fantasy mình yêu thích nhất trong năm nay. Ai là fan của fantasy thì mình nghĩ nhất định phải thử đọc “Mệnh kỵ sĩ”. Series này được đánh giá hơn 4 sao trên Goodreads.
Mình biết đến “Mệnh kỵ sĩ” khá muộn. Tình cờ được bạn cho mượn đọc thì mình mới biết là có một bộ fantasy hay như thế mà mình lại chưa hề nghe đến. Lúc mình đi tìm mua thì tập 1 của series này không còn bán trên các sàn thương mại điện tử nên mình phải lặn lội lên các group bán sách cũ, và cuối cùng cũng tìm được người bán đủ bộ.
“Mệnh kỵ sĩ” là câu chuyện kể về cuộc sống và tình đồng đội của 12 thánh kỵ sĩ. Truyện được kể theo ngôi thứ nhất, đứng dưới góc nhìn của Sun Knight. Có hai điểm mình thích nhất ở series này:
- Truyện cực kì hài hước. Mình đảm bảo cho dù tâm trạng của bạn có đang chìm sâu trong hố đen tăm tối hay tuyệt vọng thế nào thì đọc bộ này xong không thể nhịn cười được. Văn phong của tác giả này vô cùng đặc biệt. Nó khiến độc giả đọc đến đâu cười đến đấy, đứng ở chỗ đông người thì đúng là khổ luôn (chắc tại đang đọc sách mà đột nhiên cười há há thì sợ mọi người nghĩ mình điên quá :))) Đọc nhiều truyện hài rồi nhưng đây là bộ fantasy duy nhất khiến mình cười mất kiểm soát như thế :))))
- “Mệnh kỵ sĩ” không chỉ đơn thuần là giải trí mà nó đem đến cho mình rất nhiều ý nghĩa về việc con người phải đeo lên một chiếc mặt nạ khác với tính cách bên trong, về khả năng lãnh đạo, về tình đồng đội, về đức tin, thậm chí là cả những sự thật đằng sau câu chuyện dũng sĩ giệt rồng, giải cứu công chúa, đánh bại ma vương,…
Ngoài ra thì hình thức truyện rất đẹp, bên trong được vẽ minh họa nhìn thích lắm.
Truyện rất dễ đọc, phù hợp với những ai yêu thích fantasy và khao khát có được những trận cười xả láng nhé.
