Running Home to You: continues the journey of Juliette and Evan that began in “Running Back to You”.

Juliette Fletcher thought she had it all – a strikingly handsome man who adores her, a new business venture with her best friends by her side, and a dream house right on the beach. But appearances can be deceiving and everything comes at a cost.

Evan McGuire has just survived a vicious attack that almost ended his professional football career. He’s on the mends now, trying to piece his life back together again, and build a life with Juliette.

But Evan’s erratic behavior has Juliette worried. She must figure out how to save her struggling restaurant, her fragile friendships, and her now unhealthy relationship with the man she loves. Juliette and Evan find that they’ve placed their trust in the wrong people and the price they pay for that mistake may ultimately cost them everything.

Running Home to You is the second book in the Running Series.

This is the second book in Ms. Sweeney's Running series. I read the first book Running Back to You last Fall and was so excited when I was asked to read this book in exchange for an honest review. This books starts where we left off in the first book; Evan is in the hospital after the near life-threatening event with his mentally unstable ex-girlfriend, pop star Averee. Juliette is at Evan's side, supporting him through his recovery. Life seems too good to be true for these lovers: tragedy has cemented their love and dedication to one another, they live together in their beautiful beach house, they are preparing to open their bar/restaurant Rush Dessert Bar with the support of their friends, and Evan is recovering faster than expected. What could go wrong right? Try an ex-employee obsessed with Juliette, Evan's personality changing so much that Juliette wonder's where the man she fell in love went, a betrayal by a trusted friend, and an arsonist!! Just when everything seems to be resolving, Ms. Sweeney throws in a cliffhanger so huge that my jaw literally hit the floor and I'm sure the neighbors heard me screaming NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

My thoughts:
Evan is the most romantic book boyfriend that I was swooning throughout most of the book. He is a gorgeous jock, reformed playboy, slightly domineering, and........wait for it........has a huge package that he knows how to use!!
Juliette is a pastry chef/former bartender, loyal to her friends, clueless when it comes to sports but eager to learn, business savvy, and sassy. I absolutely adored the love shared between Evan & Juliette. The sexy times between these two were written a whole lot hotter than in the first book and if you know me at all, you know I LOVED that!!

If you are looking for a fun, sporty feel good love story with some suspense thrown in, then you should definitely read this series!! I can not wait until the next book comes out!! It took me all afternoon to get over my anxiety from the cliffy so that I could write this review!! Ms. Sweeney........I NEED RUNNING AWAY WITH YOU RIGHT NOW!!

I received a beta version from the author in exchange of my honest review, so here it is. I loved the first book, Running Back to You, and absolutely loved this one more. But I do have to say I hate the ending. I was screaming NO, YOU CAN'T END IT THERE!!!!!! Jette and Evan are about to open their Dessert Bar, Rush, and things are looking good for them. Except Evan is still not talking about the ordeal with Averee. All he is focused on is getting his hand better and back to playing football. Jette and Evan are perfect for each other but something is off with Evan. Is he suffering from PTSD? Does Adam know what is wrong with Evan? Can Jette help Evan to overcome whatever is bothering him? Will a new chef at the restaurant cause problems form them both? With the help of their friends and family, can they move past this trauma? There are a lot of emotions in this one, from love, hurt, pain, friendships, trust and will have you laughing and crying. There are a few twist and turns that you will not expect and the ending will kill you but please don't let that stop you from reading this fantastic story. Another perfect story from Suzanne Sweeney, grab them both and sit back and enjoy Evan, Jette and Maddy (Jette's dog)and all their friends.

As the series continues on, the second installment is even better than the first. Character development is fine-tuned and individual personalities and secrets surface. There's a defined line of suspense running throughout that will surprise and intrigue readers. The pace moves along quickly moving the story forward eliminating any lull or boredom. The sizzle is hot -- and our star quarterback is hotter in and out of the bedroom.

All in all, I am loving this series. It's easy to read with none of those irritating editing problems. This one ends on serious cliffhanger -- so hopefully Suzanne Sweeney will have the next installment to readers sooner than later.

** SOME SPOILERS**

How do I even begin? I loved "Running Home to You", book #2 of the "Running series", every bit as much as I loved "Running Back to You", book #1 of the "Running" series!"
The story of Evan and Juliette(Jette) picks up right where it left off in "Running Back to You" (Did I mention that I Love both Evan and Jette?)
The relationship between Evan and Jette has moved forward and they seem to have moved past the trauma caused by Evan's crazy ex who kidnapped him and ended up severely injuring him. They are finally living together happily in Evan's beach house and their bar/restaurant 'Rush' is in the final stages of being finished. (And their love/sex life is still smokin' hot!)
While Evan begins training with The New Jersey Sentinels football team, Jette spends all of her time making sure that every detail is perfect for the Grand Opening of Rush. She's also making sure that all of her staff (most of whom are her close friends)are ready for the big day.
While all of this is going on author Suzanne Sweeney is also further developing characters that were secondary in the first book(Auggie, Emmy,Reese, Derek and Marcus). I already feel like the secondary characters from the first book are my friends but as the story progresses they begin to feel more like family.
While things look rosy on the outside there is trouble brewing on the inside. Evan is hiding his feelings from Juliette and he is also beginning to act in a bizarre manner creating tension between him and Jette.
When things turn ugly between Evan and Jette I never gave up on them even when Jette moved out.
I really enjoyed seeing more of Auggie in this book..although we didn't really hear much about him until about 25% of the way into the book. But from there on out he's infused throughout the rest of the story.
I also enjoyed getting to see the behind the scenes of pro football with Evan's character and to see pro football from both Evan's perspective as a player and Jette's perspective as his girlfriend.
This wouldn't be a Suzanne Sweeney novel if there wasn't some mystery and scary drama involved! While I won't give away any of the details I'll say this...Suzanne knows how to put her readers on the edge of their seats and how to keep up the suspense so that the reader can't put the book down!
I read this book in one sitting...which means I was up all night and very sleepy the next day! While things are going really well near the end of the book there is a major cliff hanger! UGH! But this is one of the few series that I don't mind waiting for the last book to come out...as long as it doesn't take too long until the release of the final book! (Did you catch that last line Suzanne?!)
This book is already on my favorites shelf and I encourage everyone to read it!

I was given a copy of this book for my honest review.

Awesome; A Must Read!!

5 + stars again!!! Amazing book, even better than the first one! Fantastic!!!

I loved the first book in this series, Running Back to You AND Running Home To You was better than the first book, if that is even possible, and I loved this one so much more. Just like the first book, the author brought you right into the story with Evan and Juliette and you felt what they felt. Once again, I laughed with them, smiled with them and cried with them. The end wasn’t what I was expecting and I was like O.M.G. please tell me that didn’t just happen and my heart dropped to my stomach and I was like NO WAY, it can’t end there and like that.

Evan and Juliette’s relationship grew so much during this book and they have had to endure so much as a couple, but as they live through these things together, it is only making their love for each other stronger. You get to see them open Rush (their restaurant/Dessert Bar), you get to see Even go through all of his ups and downs and you watch Juliette as she tries to understand what is going on with Evan after the incident with De-Ho. You just know that with everything that they have already gone through that their love can endure anything.

I didn’t touch much about the secondary characters in my review of the first book, so I will do that now. I love the secondary characters in this series and love watching all of them interact together and love how they have grown into a big family. You will see a lot from the secondary characters again in book two and your heart will be torn out by something that happens to one of them (and I will leave it at that).

With so many books out now days that are a hundred or so pages long and leave you wanting for more, that is not the case with these books. Both of the first two books are over 350 pages long and both were beautifully written.

I ABSOLUTELY CAN’T WAIT FOR BOOK THREE…. RUNNING AWAY WITH YOU!!! It can’t come out soon enough.

I received this book for an honest review. This book is absolutely awesome, if you loved Running back to you, you will definitely love this one. It's beautifully written and is constantly setting the scene so expertly that's it's like a movie running through my head as I read. This book is full of passion, romance, intrigue, and plenty of drama. It is written that well that I felt a connection to the characters throughout the book, all the characters feel like one big family. It took you on an up and down journey as you follow Evan and Juliette's story, you laugh, you feel upset and at times angry. This book follows on from the first. Evan and Jette seem to have it all, they are happy, Jette is preparing to open up their new restaurant and Evan is starting training with the Sentinels, but Evan starts to act strangely, is he under stress being in a new football team, is he suffering post traumatic stress from the horrendous ordeal that occurred with an ex girlfriend a few months back, has his injury hindered his career ? Jette can't get to the bottom of it, but it's affecting their relationship. What will Evan do when faced with a choice, will he fight for Jette, can they get through those ups and downs, and with people interfering. Another super read Suzanne, if I could give it 10 stars I would. Cannot wait until book 3, please hurry soon.

Another sweet story from Suzanne Sweeney. This is book two of her running series and again it didn't disappoint. I think I loved this one even more. The story picks up where Running Back to You left off.
Juliet and Evan are just about to open their restaurant/ bar and Evan is getting ready for the upcoming football season. Everything appears to be going perfectly but then things start to change, Evan starts to change. I absolutely loved Evan in the first book but in this one, he had me scared for awhile. He did redeem himself eventually. There was one scene in particular where in true Evan fashion, he had me swooning over his flower delivery again. (Don't want to give anything away but when you read it you'll know what I mean.) We also see all of the 'supporting cast' back from RBTY as well as a few new characters for you to love. Suzanne weaves them into story perfectly, she really has a way with character development. Your emotions will be all over the place in this one, and again there are some twists you don't see coming. Especially at the end, it will leave you wanting the next book yesterday.
Thank you Suzanne for another amazing story!

I received an ARC of this book from Suzanne in exchange for an honest review..

What a great 2nd book by Suzanne. Running Home to You, picks up pretty much where Running Back to You left off. As Jette & Evan get ready to open their restaurant and prepare for football season to being, life seems to be going quite well for Jette & Evan. Of course, nothing can be smooth for these two people...Evan starts to change in very drastic ways. While Jette tries to figure out what's going on with Evan and their relationship, you see them getting support from their family and friends. This is a great group of people!

Suzanne hit a homerun with Running Back to You, but she really knocked it out of the park with Running Home to You. She has really developed these characters & made them real. This series just keeps getting better and better. Be warned, there is a HUGE cliffhanger at the end of this book, that will leave you speechless & thinking WTF???!!!

Thank you Suzanne for giving me the opportunity once again to be a Beta reader for you! <3 <3 <3

Amazing book, even better than the first one!
This book continue the story of Evan and Jette. After all that happened in the first book, you think... Now they will have a break and their relationship will flows and they are gonna just live the moment and grow their love, right? Wrong. So many things are happening in this book, that you tought , poor Jette , there is anything left to happen to her and to her relationship with Evan.
But Jette show us how strong she is and how she stands firm and confident in her and his feelings for each other. And althought everything that happened, Evan shows us how much he loves and care for Jette, more than once he made her the happiest woman in the world.
They learn together that we can't trust everybody with blind eyes, not everybody is truly a friend.
This book has a lot of romance too, which made the reading more interesting.
I really recomend this book ( and the serie of course!)
Don't miss it!

Thank you Suzanne for the copy given, can't wait for the next one.AMAZING job!

I'm am so thankful to have been able to read a beta copy of this book in return for an honest review. This series is one of my favorites. Again in this book, you are taken on a ride that is full of Sweet, Hot, and delicious Evan. Him and Juliette have just opened a restaurant together and they are recovering form the incident with Averee from the first book. All of the side characters are back and I loved them just as much in this book as the last.

There are some new characters too one being Ryker. I'm still not sure if I liked what his character brought to the book or not. I feel like his character could have taken a different turn then it did.

I still love Derek and I hope he is able to find his HEA...Suzanne Sweeney please write at least a novella for him. Please!

And one last thing...WHAT..WAS..THAT..ENDING!!! OMG, I am dying here. When is the next book out!?!

Thanks Suzanne for letting me beta read for you again. Love your writing and the book!

i received an ARC for my honest review i have to say that this series has again left me breathless, another touchdown. the book starts where the other left off, you are able to get into the flow of the story. there is no confusion of where did i leave off and having to pull out book 1 to see if it makes sense. Evan has gonna through a tramatic event that left him with his hand hurt and not sure if he will ever be able to use it again. they have now been living together and the restaurant is coming together. will this be there happy ever after? will there love see them through all the challenges that are coming there way, is there that happy ending.
honestly you will be glued to every page and not want to let it go till the end comes and then your left with your mouth wide open and ready for book 3.

Suzanne SweeneyRunning Back to YouI received a copy of this book in return for an honest review. I read the first book in this trilogy and was so completely blown away. I instantly fell in love with Jett and Evan. After reading the second book...there is nothing that this couple cant get through! This book has it all, passion, heartache, drama, and above all...Love. I can say that with a cliffhanger like this one, I just may hold my breath until the third book is released! OMG How can you do that to me!!! Another really enjoyable book.
Really loved Evan and how romantic and sweet he is with Jette.
Was good to see Jette more confident in their relationship, and seeing her dreams come true (thanks to Evan); but of course it's not an easy road for these two.

Again, there were a few things I didn't like but overall a great book.

Can't wait for the next book! :)

Thank you Suzanne, for allowing me to beta read this book. After reading the first book I knew this would be a series you remember and recommend. It has it all - family, friends, romance, with a little suspense thrown in. I can't say enough about it. Fantastic!!!

This book starts with Juliette working to get their restaurant, Rush open, while Evan heals from the attack to get back on the field. All their friends are back with some new additions. There are many twists throughout the book, that your emotions are at a constant pull. The ending - I'm speechless - did not see that coming. My heart is still ripped apart, dying for the next book. Suzanne's writing takes you there, loving everyone and feeling it all. Can't wait for Running Away with You ( Running #3). Please hurry!!!

I received this as an ARC from the author.
i had already read the first book in the series and I really enjoyed it.
When I started reading the second book, I was a little worried that it would not live up to my expectations. Boy was I wrong. It was above and beyond them.

The book continues right were the first one ended, and it has a very good flow to it.
You get to know a little more about the secondary characters in the series which helps to complement Evan and Jette's story.
if you are looking for a new refreshing romantic series to begin, you cant go wrong with this series.
Im soooooo counting the days for the third book!

more like a 4 1/2 star rating.

I was given a copy of this book for an honest review. The story picks up right where the first book leaves off. Jette and Evan are living together and getting ready to open their dessert bar. The story flowed very well for me. At 40%, my heart was ripped out and at 75% I cried happy tears. All the old characters were in this book and we were introduced to some new ones as well. But the ending, holy cliffhanger. I think I will have a hangover for a few days after that.

I can't wait to see how the next book in this series plays out.

This was a wonderful story by Suzanne Sweeney. Running home to you, is the second installment in the Running Series. The story picks up where Running to You left off.

Jette and Evan are degently working to get their resteraunt up and running, but Evan is starting football season at the same time. When all that is going on Evan is acting "off" and changing his moods.

This story is AMAZING and such emotions in regards to romance and true friendship.

Five star read........but......the ending...OMG....CLIFFHANGER!!!!

This is a continuation of The Running Series. Jette and Evan are about to open their new restaurant, but like with any book...they have their ups and downs along the way.

Things get hot!

This book will send you onto an emotional roller coaster. I laughed...I cried..I got lil heart twinges throughout this book and was left begging for more!

A few new characters are introduced.

Be sure to check out book number 1 before reading book number 2. Now I just have to wait for book number 3. That will not be easy!

I always enjoy a good romance and this is definitely a good story.
So far I really like the characters in this series. They change, grow and develop as the story develops.
When it comes to the plot this book has a little bit of everything I want in a book: romance, friendship, drama and even a little bit of mystery.
Running Home To You is a fast, well-written and enjoyable read. Suzanne Sweeney is doing a great job with this series.

If I say that I just love this series, I would lie.

I am completely addicted, obsessed and absorbed by this series.

Running series follows the story of Juliette Fletcher and Evan McGuire.

The first two books are completely addictive roller coaster.

Each book is amazing escapism. I could not have asked for a better reads.

Evan… is Mr. Dreamy. He is NFL player. Hot. Swoony. He knows how to seduce with his body and words.

Juliette is an amazing character. She is a strong leading female. But she is not perfect. She has her own issues.

We have humor, a lot of steaminess, beautiful romance, kick-ass plot in both books, dramatic angst and twists and turns that had me glued to the pages and captivated more and more as the reading progressed.

The bad thing is that the second book ended with a huge cliffhanger that had my jaw hitting the floor. So yeah, I can not wait for the third book.

Both books struck all the right notes and delivered a sensual, delicious and rich story.

A beautiful romance story for romantics out there.

My thoughts on this book. GIVE ME MORE!!!! The ending OMG! I want MORE. lol It cant end like that!!! But she ended it like that. OMG!!!!
I loved this book, there is no words to say how much I love this story!!!!
I love how strong she made the characters, Evan and Juliette are made for each other. They are progressing great in their relationship. They are slowly building their life together. Evan is bouncing back from an injury from the tragic attack. Juliette is doing everything to help him. They still bumps and hurdles to get over in this book. But they are getting stronger when they are together. Each book just gets better and better. Has me wanting MORE!!!
Strong characters, steamy sex, some mystery, and very thrilling plots involved. An Awesome Story. Would I rate it 5 stars probably not more like 10.

Running Home to You is the second book in the Running Series

Would I recommend this book = Yes

This is a reread for me. I read this series back in 2016 and never left a review. Now, here is my honest opinion.

The drama continues in book 2. Actually TONS of drama. With Evan's past causing major problems and the stalker captured what's next for the couple? Well, let's just say a commitment, a disgruntle employee, a backstabbing friend, a sickness, a fire, a rescue, a wreck, and a crash make this book. It's fast paced and leaves you wanting more. I love the drama and can't get enough of it. The ending will leave you gasping. On to book 3 now and I can't wait!

Also, I must say, I love the secondary characters of this series.
