Excellent short story about a possessed bed
With evil dead style cabin and demon kids for that creep factor
A well narrated pleasant surprise

Eight year old Darcy Walker and her father were looking for a bed. Darcy wanted a black bed for her room.
Her father told her that they must not come in black. A salesman came over to Ted and said I might have the bed you are looking for. The salesman led Ted and Darcy into a warehouse filled with boxes. Darcy saw the bed and let out a cry, this is what I have been looking for. The salesman told Ted that he thought this bed had come from Germany. Once the bed arrived at the Walker household, Darcy could not wait to try out her new bed. There was only one problem! Darcy was having a hard time getting to sleep but did not want to tell her father. He of course would blame it on the bed. Ted had a strange dream where he stumbled upon this cabin in the woods. It turns out that this old cabin had Darcy's bed in it. Darcy was having such a hard time falling asleep at night, that she was falling asleep in school. Ted decided that the bed was evil and it must go. Ted called his friend Peter, he was a priest. Peter had heard about the area in Germany where the bed had come from. He told Ted that those woods were haunted. Can Peter save Ted and Darcy from the evil that posses the black bed?

The Bed reminded me a little bit of a Nightmare on Elm Street movie as sleep takes over whoever sleeps in the bed, the characters disappear into another realm. It was a real good book, but too short and the ending wasn't what I expected. Still a good horror book and I couldn't put it down cause I wanted to see what would happen next. Giving it 4 stars only because it wasn't very long as it only took me about a day to read it.

I was wondering if I should’ve given a fourth star for the ending (even though i was expecting it, but it was cool nonetheless) but decided against it because of the unnecessary amount of masturbation in such a small book. Unnecessary , distasteful and irrelevant
