La montagna magica con La morte a Venezia
L'"opera-mondo" di Thomas Mann - tradotta in Italia prima nel 1932 da Bice Giachetti-Sorteni e poi nel 1965 da Ervino Pocar con il titolo La montagna incantata - è offerta in una nuova traduzione corredata, per la prima volta, di un vasto commento analitico, indispensabile viatico per penetrarne la straordinaria complessità filosofica. La magistrale traduzione di Renata Colorni, grazie all'attenzione tutta nuova verso i suoi caratteri linguistici distintivi, restituisce al dettato manniano la sua caleidoscopica unicità. Al romanzo è affiancato il testo de La morte a Venezia, offrendo al lettore la possibilità di un immediato confronto con la novella del 1912 della quale, in origine, Der Zauberberg doveva rappresentare un semplice «pendant grottesco».

Dopo aver letto già due volte l’ed.Corbaccio, non ho resistito alla nuova traduzione e all’offerta sui Meridiani : libro-dipendente ....

A cento anni dalla pubblicazione questo libro ritorna a essere presente
La dicotomia destra / sinistra lascia spazio, di nuova a quella Settembrini / Naphta: razionalismo idealizzato (il mainstream) e caos metafisico (rossobrunismo)
Di cosa preoccuparsi?
(Questa edizione dei Meridiani, che ora costa 50 euro è da prendere per le note, la traduzione, titolo a parte non pare nulla di rivoluzionario)
