Rate this book
When Posy goes to stay at Pip’s house, they have lots of fun together before bedtime. But just as they switch out the light, disaster strikes: Posy realizes that she has forgotten her favorite frog toy. Desperate to help his distraught friend, Pip offers Posy a range of different toys to substitute for her frog, but none of them will do. Axel was born in Hamburg, Germany. At school he was good at art, but didn’t think of a career in illustration until he won a cuddly purple cow in a drawing competition.

He moved to England in 1982 to learn English and study illustration at the Bath Academy of Art and then set up home in London. Axel illustrated a number of books for various publishers, and in 1993 Kate suggested him as the illustrator for Julia Donaldson’s first picture book text, A Squash and a Squeeze. This was the start of a hugely successful partnership: their bestselling modern classic, The Gruffalo, has sold over three-and-a-half million copies worldwide, and the TV animation was broadcast on Christmas day 2009.

Axel has illustrated a number of other highly successful books, including Muddle Farm, and his books have been translated into 42 languages.

Axel lives in London with his partner and young daughter.

Egy újabb Pipp és Polli! Polli Pippnél alszik, ám otthon felejti Brekit, az alvókáját! Most mi lesz?

Piotruś oddaje Poli swoją i oboje szybko zasypiają. Proste i przejrzyste - czyli takie, jakie powinno być.
Śliczne ilustracje znakomitego Axela Schefflera i dosłowność tekstu Camilli Reid sprawiają, że ta i wszystkie książki z serii zachwycają. Pięknie wydane, mądrze napisane i fenomenalnie zilustrowane opowieści o współpracy i przyjaźni, to idealna propozycja dla każdego - bo i mnie przecież zachwyciły. Rodzice - warto! Ja czekam na następne tomy.

We read this one a lot in our house, and I only just noticed- Posy in her house has a pig money box! Like the fact after so many readings you can still spot new things. I like the pictures and the use of the whole page. I like the interesting and different font sizes for emphasis. Each Pip and Posy book seems to have a similar structure- something happens, then there is always a 'poor *insert name here*!' moment, then it turns out alright. We are always intrigued by the lack of distracting adults- we know they are there as Posy has pictures of them on her wall, and someone tidies up everything, just like real life.

Пип и Поузи - фаворити на много деца!
Страхотна книжка от издателство Фют - твърди и здрави малки страници и корици. Кратка и семпла! Със страхотно послание към децата, учещо ги да бъдат състрадателни и да споделят.

My kids 1 y old, 2 year old, 7y old and 9 y old really liked the book and they are reading it for a third day in a row. We liked the idea of qr code at the back of the book. You can listen to the author reading the book when you scan the code.

A sincere and well-told story about the importance of sharing and how friends can support each other when trouble or difficulty arises. Axel Scheffler’s illustrations are eye-catching and possess a unique charm; his storytelling for young readers catches exactly what they need with easy-to-understand sentences and realistic scenarios.

This got several rereads in a row after finishing the first time so it counts as a successful picture book.

A new story in the Pip and posy collection featuring best friends Pip (the rabbit) and Posy (the mouse) When Posy spends the night at Pip’s house they have lots of fun together before bedtime. But just as they switch out the light, disaster strikes: Posy realizes that she has forgotten her favorite stuff frog and she can’t sleep without Froggy. Pip offers Posy several different toys as a substitute but they just won’t do. Then Pip gives Posy his favorite bedtime toy and all is well. The story with delightful cartoony animal illustrations and simple dialogue will make this a favorite bedtime story for any toddler or preschooler who can’t sleep without a favorite toy. Reviewer 19

Posy has a great time playing at Pip's house. But when it's time for bed, she realizes that she has forgotten to bring her beloved stuffed animal, Froggy. How can she possibly sleep without her friend? Being a good friend, Pip comes to her rescue and makes the ultimate sacrifice so she can finally get some rest. Young readers will relate to this sweet story of friendship and enjoy the illustrations that have been created in gouache.

This is a good book about friendship and about sleeping over at friends' houses when you're very young. Forgetting your stuffed animal is the worst thing you can do! Luckily, good friends are there to save the day. I felt that the ending needed a little help, but the premise was nice enough.

Stories about the true love between a kid and their Lovie always touch my heart. And I like the Pip and Posy series for a few reliable reasons: they're cutie, someone cries dramatically (hello, real life), and they always end with "Hooray!"
