Never in my life have I been so happy to finally finish a series. First, the writing was hard to read even though it improved some in the second and third book. Secondly, the characters were unbelievable. The only character I felt like I could relate too was Chaz and he wasn't even a major character. All the characters were confused and really didn't have a purpose. It blew my mind to read that Loretta went from being jealous of Madison, to falling in love with her man then entertaining the thoughts that maybe she was gay and just in love with her. WTF!
Then Granville.....I'm still a little concerned if the author knows someone like that personally. His parts were hard to read because it went from someone being dumb-witted to someone just being plain old stupid. And if I have to read the phrase: got hard wood, one more time, I'm going to scream. This series just did not do it for me. The setting, the writing, the characters and the written scenes just wasn't worth the time I spent reading the series. I continued reading thinking that a huge "revelation" would be revealed but was only left. thinking : THANK GOD ITS OVER 😖. This will be my last attempt to read this author's work.

This was such a good book. It really kept me engaged. I'm trying to figure out if there will be a book #4. Madison and Sindy both put forth a lot of effort to gain the love, attention, and affection of Roosevelt "Chicago" Duboise. That poor baby Zach was right in the middle of it. Granville was still funny as I don't know what. These folks in this book had money, but not a lot of respect for other peoples lives. The twists and turns in this plot were mind boggling. I'm still shocked at that ending. WTH? There has got to be a book #4.

Pure drama and suspense

Pure drama and suspense

im very sad that this is the last book of the series . This book had me hooked and nervous to find out what would happen next. Granville became my favorite character due to that he's taken advantage of . I disliked the final ending , I wish Chicago would find out that was actually his child before the book ended. Also just wished we got to hear from Loretta and Tishas point of views . Mary B. Morrison did a great job - let's pray she releases a part 4 with updates

If this wasn't the biggest bunch of foolishness I have ever read. I wasted my time on this series and once I started I had to finish it. What a huge disappointment!!

Roosevelt was a bigger damn fool than Granville and Loretta combined. You let two chicks make a fool of you and the back and forth with the baby was ridiculous.

I was expecting karma for Madison, her father and Sindy. No such luck.

Please tell me how in the world does Grandville end up with a woman? She was crazy as hell too.

I can't believe how this series ended.

I read the other two Madison/Chicago/Granville books, so I wanted to read the third installment. I felt like I REALLY started to know these characters, with the exception of Sindy. I would definitely read another book about where Madison's life is now. This book really kept me guessing, and I wasn't 100 percent sure how it would end. Overall, I did not like the ending of this book. I can't believe how much my opinions of the characters changed by the end of this third installment.

I wasn't sure that I would read this book after reading the first two books in the set, but I decided to go ahead and give myself some closure. I'll say that closure was not what I received after finishing this book. Where do I start?

Madison is manipulative and ruthless, but as big of a believer in karma as I am, even I felt that some of the things Madison went through at the hands of Chicago's mistress Sindy and life in general was a bit too much. I was hoping that at least once out of all of the scheming and lying that Madison would win AT LEAST once, but, alas, she didn't.

Sindy was outright irritating to me. She created a persona for herself that she was pure and innocent, when that couldn't be farther from the truth. What was more irritating was how clueless Chicago was to all of it. Even when Chicago had the truth revealed to him about several situations he still blew my mind and did the dumbest things! At the end of the day, he was caught in this triangle between Madison and Sindy because they were all looking for love. Unfortunately for Madison, her revelation of her need for love was a day late and a dollar short.

There were several sub-plots going on that didn't fully hold my attention, especially since the focus of the book was on Sindy and her determination to best Madison. Honestly, I don't feel that either woman truly loved the man as much as their respective need to conquer and have him.

Much of the over the top drama held my interest and kept me entertained. However, this is another one of those books that you can't think too hard about while you're reading it, otherwise it'll lose its entertainment factor. I didn't care to know about Sindy's additional family, especially since they had nothing to offer to the story. Madison's friends, who were main characters in the first two books, had practically disappeared in this book, which didn't bother me much because I didn't miss them. The character of Granville actually gained a lot of sympathy from me in this installment despite his past sins from the previous novels. I was pleased with how his story ended.

My biggest dissatisfaction came with the ending to the overall series and I'm praying that the author changes her mind and decides to write a part four. Without revealing too many details, the ending is what you would least expect and is bound to leave you unhappy. The author wrote in the acknowledgments that she wouldn't leave this series with a cliffhanger, but that's exactly what she did! There were so many loose ends that left my head spinning. It's one thing to leave a few things to the readers' imaginations. It is something totally different to just leave them hanging completely. As smart and manipulative as Madison was, why did she make some of the choices that she made? Why was she so easily outdone by Sindy? Was it because Madison had been humbled by the cancer from the previous installment and her new single motherhood (I can attest to the fact that single motherhood can humble a person something serious)? Why does Madison receive such a hefty dose of karma, but Sindy practically gets away with murder? Was Chicago really that dumb? What was the purpose in including Chicago's brother in this installment? Why bring up Sindy's family if there wasn't going to be anything significant revealed about them? Why, oh why, did the author write such a crappy ending?

See what I mean? Once you start thinking too much you lose track of the good parts that kept you interested enough to finish the book. Mary B. Morrison's books tend to be hit or miss with me. I continue reading her work even at the risk of knowing I'll be disappointed because I know there have been a couple of books of hers that I really enjoyed. This book was one that I enjoyed until I got to the last few chapters, which ruined the book as a whole for me. All in all, I give it a 2.5 out of 5 stars.

I did not like this ending. It felt rushed and was not at all how I would have wanted it to end or thought it would based on the three previous book.

First of all let’s start with Loretta. Ummm it was like she was mentioned once in the beginning but then nothing more about Loretta. In the last book she was supposedly in love with Madison and discovered she was a lesbian after her stint in jail . Last book, it was like Loretta ending was summarized as the hating ass friend, who let herself go and stay confined to her house waiting for Madison to throw her a crumb...which she never did. Hell I almost forgot she was apart of this series, or was she a figment of my imagination. 🤔

Granville, Beau, they mama, and Mahogany. Delusional crazy ass Granville and his enabling ass brother got a happy ending. I’m sorry but WHAT??? This man stalked Loretta, raped and stalked Madison, shot Chicago, and he ends up a millionaire with what appears to me to be an underage or underdeveloped mentally challenged girl that calls him daddy and sounds like a straight baby....uh nope. Granville ass should have ended back up in jail.

Madison...was built up in book one and two to be the baddest and bougie wicked witch of the upper echelon of black people and yet in book three she was weak. And the reason was because she lost her boobs. 😧 she let Sindy and mrs Dubois run a marathon of deceit on her and spent the entire book crying about not having her boobs and trying to get Chicago to forgive her and then at the end she gave up. Although I don’t believe she deserved Chicago but still...expected more of a better ending.

Sindy...grimy ass virgin b@$%. She basically stalked Chicago too and then she plotted with his momma to separate that man from his biological child because she was jealous of Madison. And to top the cake his momma gonna give her six month with her son before she is gonna tell the truth a Sindys deceit.🤬

Chicago...a wannabe Ethic but he been on his momma tit too long drinking that stale ass milk. He ignored all the Madison red flags, used Loretta and tossed her and her praying cloth to the side and then he totally blind for sindy and her shenanigans. I fault his coddling ass momma for THREE books of stupidity.😡

Roosevelt...Madison daddy needEd a heart attack to humble him. Three books of him scheming and cheating.😒 He should have told Chicago the truth about what he did to Madison and his grand baby

Mrs Dubois. I would have loved it if Madison’s momma beat her ass in that hotel lobby after that snide ass comment about “Is it still Mrs. Tyler”...bbbbiiiiitttttcchhhh. She granted Sindy deceitful ass six months to tell Chicago about the paternity test...what kind of woman or mother would be okay with that. Nope, I would have liked her to not do that and instead tell her son the truth even if it meant he stupidity fixed things with Madison. Between Madison and Sindy neither are worthy of being with Chicago but he can’t see that because he is attracted to both women because they have traits of his deceitful ass mother.

All in all I finished the book to complete the series. But I was really disappointed in the ending.

Book Summary: This is part 3 of a series and the scandalous drama continues. Madison, soon to be ex-wife and Sindy the new love are holding no punches to win over the love of their life, Roosevelt, the handsome rich sports manager. The book continues with the scheming acts of the two fathers also. The Sex, greed and deceit makes for some juicy drama-filled reading without a dull moment.

My Review. The author continues the story line in a first person point of view told by each character separated by their own chapters thus allowing readers to hear personally from the characters. Kudos to the author, a job well done. My reading pace was on a roller coaster from moderate to flipping the pages. I did not encounter a dull moment of reading.
Characters: Granville was my favorite, and I was happy with his ending.
Madison is a beautiful scandalous woman and I care not to have her as a friend and my least favorite characters. Sindy is a highly intelligent woman and demonstrated issues with insecurities relating to men that I think stemmed from her father. I choice to root for her. The characters of the fathers in the book really provided that added PUNCH that separated the story line from being another sex, scandalous rivalry between two women.
All characters were easily believable and each fit into their roles perfect.
The author provided more than one twist in the novel giving readers that added element of surprise. The identifiable conflict may leave readers wondering 'Is it or Not'.
I'm not sure if I connected the title of the book cover to the story line. My book cover rating is a 3/5. If You Don't Know Me sits on my reading shelf as a DARN GREAT READ with a 4/5 review rating.

Really 3.5 Some of this book was stupid and unnecessarily vulgar. But it was a WHOLE lot better than the one before it which was the second installment. I think Morrison did a lot better job at story telling and actually weaving a plot and having an interesting sub plot. I only rate books by the writer's ability. If I were to rate this book by how it turned out it would definitely be lower. This book will make you mad but that's what any good author would want. I had written this series off but decided to hear it out because I'm nosy Lol! The writing had more depth. No. It's not deep but for this series, it's the better book. Surely there will be a sequel if not I can't deal with this author anymore because it would just be wrong to end the series this way. If I keep talking there will be spoilers so I digress. So now that I took a break I just wanted to add that yes, Morrisson's writing was better and I liked that she tried to weave in an interesting sub plot (Sindy's family secrets) but I will say that it was odd. This author has a knack for doing odd things which in the past has been a turn off. I think that because she dissolved what many readers hoped for Madison, adding Sindy's family saga as a subplot may not have worked well because at this point we're like who really cares about Sindy's saga! But I do have to say mid point I was through with Chicago. I couldn't care less. I just hope the next book redeems Madison. Ok I'm really finished this time.

when Sindy got involved, the book became unrealistic and almost tasteless. i'm not for the whole mob feel. it didn't start that way so why are we ending it that way in the final book? also you almost lost me with Granville fucking a cow! Instead of closing the book I just skipped his chapter. I now understand why some of the reviews stated their annoyance with him and his thing always being mentioned. it was waaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyy too much and went overboard.
Madison, at times I started to feel bad for her but then thought why? she was so passive it became infuriating. for Granville to get an opportunities to even lay a finger on the baby proves she lacks a backbone.
the ending left cliffhangers and a lot of unanswered questions. i'd rather hear about what happened with Loretta than Sindey's story. not saying I want a part 4 or nothing OH GOD NO! if I have to read about a fucking woody to get closure I think i'm good.
overall Chicago needs to find someone who isn't constantly scheming and plotting and the ending was a let down and not a good way to end things

I don't know how I really feel about this book. Seem weird that Madison lies loose her husband and family but sindy lied and schemed but hand up with the guy confused as hell...I must say I the dude mother, I hate mother in law who try to control they kids lives. Better be another book Granville and Madison needs to come hard for sindy, I think author was trying to make sindy look like a misunderstood good girl with issues but I found her character worst than Madison, and her character in this book make me love Madison and despised her(sindy). This book make me feel for Madison she deserved so much better, if there is another book I do hope the author give her another love interest that would appreciate her, and don't even give Roosevelt a smile. After reading this I hate Roosevelt, his mama, Chaz and especially sindy, instead of having Madison look like the bad guy, she looks more like a victim.

I hope there is another book! This book just left too many unanswered questions! I don't like how it ended and I want certain things to come to light. I wish we could have heard more from Loretta and Tisha. I do not care for Sindy, however, her whole twisted family history could be a book of its own which I would read! Granville became the more sane person out of all the characters and in the end after all the "craziness" seemed to only be looking for someone to love. Even though Madison wasn't the most likable character in the beginning, I felt sorry for her and what she had to endure throughout the book. The ending made me feel like there will be another book in the series and I am remaining hopeful as I would like to see how it all turns out. We only get a brief background on Sindy and I would like to know more about her so that I may be able to form a better opinion. As of now, I hope that she gets what's coming to her.

What!?? I do not understand where the series went... Why did it turn into a Sindy story?
Although I did not like how Madison was as a friend and a wife throughout the series. It does not make since that she loses Chicago to Sindy of all people!

Why the hell does Granville get a fairy tale type ending? That fool is/was a damn lunatic!

I felt like I was being forced into caring about Madison, the original villain! What about Loretta's story?

I was also tired of the back and forth paternity truth, and wanted know how Chicago was reunited with Zack, after all the unnecessary mess.

Another chapter in the series that takes readers on a wild ride. Granville is back to his crazy tactics but this time, he has more than just his brother as his partner in crime. Sad to say that Chicago and Madison can't seem to get things right and with Chicago's new love interest and deceptive parents in the mix, the chances for saving their marriage are nil. Overall, this was the least favorite in the series and though the ending was a surprise I was not pleased with the outcome, so only 4 stars from me.

ok series but not happy with the ending....like most I am hoping there will be another chapter to this story because there was just too many unanswered questions for me. I love me some Mary B but i don't know if this was my favorite series of hers. Fancy and Darius out do all of these characters.

But with that being said if another book does come out I will read it just to see if my unending questions will be answered.

I have read Great Good and Bad romance stories and this one is just Bad. This story was childish and boring. You have the women and the men trying to one-up each other or trying to prove who is the true baby daddy. With the women trying to prove who is the better lover and the men thinking with their dicks. I could watch this on any of the daytime shows Monday thru Friday. This book is fine for some readers but not me.

Perfect book! I loved the series! Madison and Chicago should of been back together in the end though, Sindy was just a homewrecker that came into the picture. We'll I guess maybe not back with Madison but Chicago could of waited a bit before he started dating another chick after starting a family. Overall it was a awesome book. On to the next book series ! :)

It took me 2 weeks to finish this book. I was highly disappointed. This was a very slow read for me. It took 20 plus chapters to finally peak my interest and then the ending was crazy. I'm a fan of Mary B. Morrison, but this book just did not do it for me.

This book was just ok, it nowhere near kept me as entertained as the others and knowing its the last book really sucked b/c the ending was awful. Im trying to not give spoilers away and Im not so if this is a bit choppy or vague thats why.

First, I dont know if it was the flow or what was going on but early on I found myself just wanting to wrap this mess up. i had to stop myself numerous times just from skipping forward to the end. I found myself not caring but really just wanting it to be over.

Also, i cant really continue without giving anything away but the ending really really sucked. It seemed to me the overall message of the book series was about the danger of being deceitful and how it can come back to you so how can someone who did just as bad and deceitful things end up "winning" in the end. Also, i wont say what, but Madisons sudden change of heart at the very end in the court room. There was no indication why that happened and that sucked on the writers part.

As a matter of fact there was a lot left open and unsaid AS IF there were going to be another book which we all know there is not. Since it doesnt matter to the overall book why was SIndy's family thrown in at the end? I know i didnt give a damn about them and we never even got to meet them so why did they matter? Helens comments at the end, I mean honestly. It was a lot of random stuff thrown in that didnt make sense, didnt push the story forward or do anything other than just be there. for example, this is a spoiler but an insignificant one. We only see or hear of Loretta twice in this book. The time we hear of her what was the purpose of her calling Roosevelt and then nothing else. Why was that call even thrown in there? It served no purpose and we dont even know what happened to her.

Overall, this book just seemed like gang up on Madison. It was like everyone else thought they should be forgiven and they were for the most part but not her. Also, I find it funny that everyone got to live happily ever after, even though they did the same deceitful things they were accusing the others of, but they just get to randomly be free. Notice I didnt say who, again trying not to give spoilers.

After reading a view chapters I promise you I just wanted Roosevelt and Tisha, yes TISHA! to be together as they seemed to be the only "pure" ones. Roosevelt was so stupid and easily manipulated by everyone though it was hard to feel sorry for him, like get a clue dude!

I hate to say this but my overall opinion is that, if you read the other books and just want to finish the series then read this book, but if you are looking to be entertained or for some type of closer in the series you WILL NOT get that, so save your money. i kinda want my $10 back lol i could have just rented this a year or so from now since i now realize if i had known i would have only read this to finish out the series

Wowww!!! The scandal, deceit, and drama!! I loved every moment of this book fr. Honestly I don’t want Chicago to be with neither of these women. I believe even though what Madison did was really fucked up, what Sindy did was totally unforgivable. She had no right to lie to that man about her son because at the end of the day a father should always be there for his son. That’s why Madison quietly left and let Chicago be free because she knew that what she did was fucked up, but the difference what she did was she knew Chicago would eventually forgive her. But to forgive a woman for lying about his son not being his just to finally have in the end? He will not forgive Sindy for that and she’ll probably suffer worser than Madison did. Madison left because she knew that God would handle Sindy worser then she could possibly handle her. I grew to like Chaz and Numbiya too. Granville was something else lol! But despite the dumbass shit he did, all he really wanted was someone to love him and I’m glad he got that with Mahogany. Honestly I felt that Madison did love Chicago but she loved him for what he had not for who he was. And she didn’t finally understand how much of a good man she had until it was practically over. Smh SINdy, SINdy....Sindy is a woman full of conniving sins.....

There Has To Be Another Book To This Series. It’s No Way Mary B. Morrison Left Me Hanging Like That. So Many Questions. Said In My Last Review That I Didn’t Like Cindy, But In This Book I Despised Her. A Wolf In Sheep Clothing. Didn’t Think Anybody Was Worse Than Madison, But Oh Baby I Was Wrong. Chicago Let Everybody(His Mama & Cindy) Make His Decisions. Lordt He Needed To Get His Life Together. Gullible AF. Madison Became So Much More Likable In This Book. Guess The Baby Made Her Soft, Which I Enjoyed. Loretta Wasn’t Mentioned Much, But When She Was She Was Still Unhinged. Granville Wanted That Baby, & Was Also Gullible. He Really Didn’t Have It All Mentally. His Brother(Beaux)Was A For Sure Ride Or Die For Granville. Was Happy Granville Find Somebody Who Excepted Him For Him. Granville Brother Also Tried His Best To Keep Granville Out Of Trouble. Thank Goodness Madison Ended All The Madness Even Though She Knew The Truth, But Just Let It Go. I Was Too Dedicated For This Book To End The Way Ot Did.

Madison did get what she deserved but Sindy and Chicago's mom was wrong for what they did. Sindy is a piece of work she would do anything to get what she want but to change a paternity test is to much she is her father's child weather she liked it or not. Will Chicago find out Zach is really his son not Granville? Will Chicago find out what Sindy did? Will Chicago find out his mother knew the about Zach and didn't say anything? This has a lot of unanswered questions it ended all wrong need to be a part 4.

Spoiler Alert****

Yep this one pissed me off too lol. I cant even explain it. Its ridiculous. The same way you get them is the same way you lose them. It doesn't matter that Cindy didn't have sex with Roosevelt. They still cheated and the bottom line is that Madison did not cheat on her husband. Yes Madison was wrong for pulling the plug on her husband when there was still a chance that he might live but one he recovered he essentially did the same thing to their marriage, he pulled the plug on their marriage.

While waiting on some other books to arrive my wife suggested this author. Unfortunately, after I started reading it I discovered I was reading book #3 in a 3 book series. That would explain why I couldn't get into it at first. It was still readable without the back stories of all the characters. I have the the books 1 and 2 on the way. The story is worth reading. There was some stuff that I had to throw the side-eye at. The Granville guy, just couldn't get into that character. He did some dumb stuff. The two main women in this book was a shady for my taste. Overall, it's a good read.

Just finished reading if you don't know me by Mary B. Morrison. I loved this series. There has to be a book 4 though. It leaves to much open in the end. I have so many questions about what happens next.
If you are looking for a good book to read this is a great series. Start at the first book though.

The book was a big disappointment. The previous books were exciting and kept you interested but, this book was way too messy and too dramatic. When I say dramatic it's not dramatic any good sense. This book showed how to women will fight for one man and how catty women will be and it wasn't even a good Urban fiction it was just packing this all the way around. If I were told to read this book again out of the series I would simply stop it book number 2.
