Zuri Day

Zuri Day is a hopeful romantic. She believes in happy endings, half-full glasses and dreams coming true. That's why she's thrilled to be a contributing writer to this genre...one of her favorites!

Zuri doesn't remember exactly how old she was when she picked up her first romance novel, but she does remember it was love at first sight. "It was probably a Harlequin," she recalled during a recent interview. "And it thankfully took me away from a fairly dull and routine existence growing up in a small Kansas town."

Things aren't dull and routine anymore. Zuri now resides in Los Angeles with her family and when she isn't writing loves to travel the world, cook vegetarian food, work out, watch sports, attend concerts and theatre and enjoy the simple things in life.

"Many people have given up on love, much less romance," Zuri says. "I'm hoping that somehow, through the love-filled pages of my romance novels, I can ignite the reader's desire to believe again. Because everything is possible, when we believe..."

First of all, I think I have been sleeping on Zuri Day. I read a book of hers years ago and was kinda "meh" about it and never went back. Thank you Good Reads or I would have never given her a second chance! Generic story line? Sure. Totally far-fetched? Yep! Ridiculously fantastical ending? You betcha! But who cares when you get the reader to escape for a little while! That's all I ask for, really. Thumbs up on the heat level in this book. Thumbs up on the well-developed characters and the story. Thumbs up to the pace and the mystery aspect of this drama. And what the heck, I'm feeling generous. I'm even gonna give the daddy a thumbs up, even though I wanted to read him all up and down the page. Let me catch this dude on the street. *side eye* :)

Day gives us the ultimate 'Morgan" man . . . young, hot, available. . . or is he. Working on Gabby's security detail has changed him.

Gabby and Troy was one fabulous read that added that extra to the Morgan Man series. I loved him as I did with each of his brothers.

Excellent Read!

I truly hope this isn't the end of the series! I could really go for one more book telling us know if mama Jackie and Robert get Married or not! About this book.... Troy and Gabriella I thought was a good fit, but she acted childish at times! She a!most lost the Love of her life as well as her life because of her actions and her father's! Her father was a real trip too! I really enjoyed reading this book and I know others will too! I will definitely recommend this book to EVERYONE!

This book was awful compared to the previous two. Gabrielle was annoying and I hate her, Alex was hung up over a woman who didn't want her. It was like a bunch of teenagers dealing with their emotions.

Overcoming Obstacles

A overbearing, over protective daddy, a staler/maniac and a friend who thought he was in love was a lot to overcome. Troy and gabrielle did it together and found true love. Another great story from Ms. Day.

Entertaining ending!

I liked the major characters in this book of the "Morgan Men" series. Just as the other two books was influenced by the occupation of each brother, the author gave readers a suspense and romance. Loved the series.

Good read

I really enjoyed this series. I liked all the Morgan couples, but I think this power couple is my favorite of all. The villian was predictable but other than that it was a good read.

Loved the book! Zuri Day is quickly becoming a favorite. At the beginning, I thought the main characters' "hook-up" happened a little to quickly, but as I continued reading saw the neccessity of it. The book flowed well. I loved the blend of romance and suspense.

Review by Janet Caldwell (B+)

In Zuri Day’s new romantic thriller, self-proclaimed bad boy, Troy Morgan blurs the lines between employer and employee - Morgan style. Day continues her Morgan Men Series with Troy’s story. The youngest of the triple threat Morgan men, Troy’s extreme good looks, charm and professional achievements prove no match for pop music superstar Gabriella Stone.

Troy is the youngest of the sexy Morgan men. Day explains, in her depiction of him, that he has no shortage of sexy beautiful women at his fingertips. Troy owns a security firm that caters to a high profile clientele. When the opportunity to provide security for music phenom Gabriella, presents itself, Troy approaches the prospect routinely. Troy is highly respected in his field and does not mix business with pleasure. He wins the contract to provide security for the Stone Cold Sexy tour which comes with more drama than he anticipates. Employer/employee relationships, contracts, protocol - nothing stands in the way of what he wants.

Gabriella is high maintenance and used to having her way. Talented beyond her years, she works nonstop to provide for her family and appease her loyal fan base. Her high profile status leaves her vulnerable to overzealous fans. Therefore, it is important that her security team be first-rate and on top of their game. When Troy is hired to be “her protector”, Gabriella is very aware of her attraction to him at their first meeting, but she must do all she can to hide that interest from the probing eyes of her overly devoted manager/stage dad.

The setting for BAD BOY SEDUCTION is primarily Los Angeles; however, the whirlwind Stone Cold Sexy tour travels to New York, Boston, Atlanta, Chicago, to name a few, as well as cities in Europe and Asia. The voluminous cast of characters includes Carol, Gabriella’s longtime friend and assistant, Alex Worthington, Troy’s lead security man, Gabriella’s father, Gary, her mother and brother, as well as, Troy’s family.

I liked the unique plot of this novel which was complimented by a thrilling subplot. Day’s clever dialogue often made me want to “high-five” some characters and exclaim, “No you didn’t!” Gabriella and Troy are strong personalities with explosive tendencies that made me question their future as a couple. Gabriella was not a likeable character and I felt that Troy deserved much more. Although I enjoyed the Morgan Men Series, this novel is my least favorite. If you are a fan of this series, I recommend you read this installment to be updated on the Morgan family. Day introduces some new characters that may be worthy of future stories. I am interested to see where she goes with this series.

This book was definitely a Five-Star read! From the beginning it grabs you and makes you want to follow the characters along their journey. Troy Morgan, is the youngest of three handsomely, successful Morgan brothers. As the head of Morgan Security, he is the ultimate professional. As a man he oozes confidence, sexiness and possesses just the right amount swag to make any woman squeeze her knees together at the sound of his voice. While Troy is no stranger to working for high-profile clients, guarding the beautiful R&B sensation Gabriella Stone just may prove to be more than he bargained for. Each chapter presents something different. Zuri Day brilliantly pens a story with just enough drama, suspense, love, lust and power struggles to keep you wanting more! “Bad Boy Seduction” is my favorite Morgan Men novel to date! I give it FIVE STARS!

Let me first say this title is very appropriate and every bit of what's in this story. I enjoyed reading this and the interactions with Troy and Gabrielle. Its always a good read when you have suspense, family closeness, love and steam, you get all this in this book. Gary's angle was hard to follow, besides caring for his daughter, it seems he had some selfish motives. The ending kinda left me hanging a bit, wasn't ready for it to be over, I saw potential for more stories. Ms Day, I would likely to make a suggestion for more stories of some of the friends and famly you introduced us to. My fellow readers this didnt disappoint, don't miss out

I found 'Bad boy seduction' somewhat good but also generic in the sense that his story did not hold a great deal of believable "didn't see that coming" moments for me. Though there was action, It felt typical and the supporting cast members antics a bit of a stretch. I found this story was in the same category as others of the genre (boy with issues meets girl who has bigger issues). And after a lot of endless maneuvering they finally come together for a happily ever after. I have read quite a few books by Zuri Day so I was a bit disappointed that' Bad boy seduction' didn't come further out of the box than the norm.

When Troy Morgan's firm was hired to protect Gabriella Stone, pop artist, there was an instant attraction. The problem was that Gary Stone, Gabriella's daddy was dead set against that union. What dear dad didn't realize is that no one can stop two people determined to be together.

Gabriella having a stalker, and daddy's attempt to hook her up with someone more "suitable", only served to bring them closer together. A very good read.

Great Read!!!

Troy is assigned to guard Gabrielle and there first meeting doesn't go over too well. The attraction is immediate and Gabi wants him but Troy doesn't want to mix business and pleasure. Gabi is determined and Troy gives in but Troy is not like all the other men in her life. Gabi has to decide what she wants before it is too late. I loved this book and this series!!! I couldn't stop reading it!!!

This one was just too melodramatic for me to truly enjoy it. There were too many characters and the "twists" weren't surprising at all. I don't expect to be swept off my feet with contemporary romance but this one was just...not good. I expect more from Zuri Day.

Love, love these Morgan men. Troy Morgan snd Gabriella Stone meet when her dad hires Troy's firm ss security for her tour. The two are attracted to each other, but she doesn't want her dad to know. Gabriella has to decide whether she's going to br daddy's little princess or Troy's woman.
I truly hope Zuri Day writes Alex and Carl's story.

This is the 1st book I read by Zuri Day. This book's story line was okay. I liked the hot & steamy scenes. I liked Troy's character. I think Troy was to good for Gabriella. I didn't like Gabriella I thought she didn't have a backbone. I didn't like Gary either. I liked the ending I thought it was very nice. I would read other books by Ms. Day.

Zuri Day delivers another excellent book in the Morgan Men series. Troy and Gabriella's story was simply wonderful. There was enough suspense and action packed into this book to keep you glued to the pages. I hate to send this series end but look forward to more books from this talented author.
