Wyatt Richardson finds himself in a predicament; his sixteen-year-old daughter has shown up at his house pregnant. Now, he needs a nanny for his daughter and grandchild; the only applicant remotely qualified is Leigh Foster. He hires her even though he suspects she has lied about her motives for wanting the job. A good, fast read.

Wyatt is desperate to find a nanny for his new grandson. His pregnant teenage daughter had been dumped with him by her mother and Wyatt is at a total loss what to do. When he hires Leigh he suspects she's not the expert she says she is, but he's willing to take the chance. His attraction to her is just the icing on the cake. At first I didn't find him very likable. He seemed more interested in getting Chloe to give up the baby and go back to being a teenager than in doing the right thing for the baby. It quickly became obvious that his real problem was simple fear. He had not had a good childhood and had built his business from the ground up. He had spent all his time building his business, thinking that being able to provide for his family was enough. He had never learned how to show love in any way other than buying things. Hiring Leigh was his way of throwing money at that problem. He was not particularly happy to find that she was intent on making sure that Mikey was a full part of the family, not just an inconvenience. I loved seeing the way that Leigh's instruction and efforts had him feeling more for the baby than he had ever felt before. He also wanted to give in to his attraction to Leigh, but wanted to do it without involving emotions. But he found that the more time he spent with Leigh the more he wanted to keep her with him. His growing feelings for her also showed him how better to relate to his daughter. I loved seeing him open up to all the feelings he had by the end of the book.

Leigh wanted the nanny job for one reason. The baby's father is her younger brother and she wants to make sure that the baby gets a good start in life. She knows that she can't tell Wyatt who she really is. He doesn't know the identity of Mikey's father and she fears that if he did he would ruin Kevin's life. Her intent is to be there for Mikey no matter what else happens. She doesn't expect to be attracted to Wyatt and tries to resist it. I loved watching her stand up to him and not let him ignore his grandson. There were some pretty fun scenes as she taught him everything from feeding to diapering. She also found that spending so much time with him started changing her feelings from attraction to love. She was also sure that once he found out about her deception any feelings he might have for her would die in the face of his anger. She came to love Mikey and Chloe so much that she wanted to stay with them all. I loved the ending and how it was Chloe that came up with the perfect solution.

No matter what genre she chooses, author Elizabeth Lane is a skilled storyteller who always combines touching, sweet and sensual romance with an intriguing and involving story line. In "The Nanny's Secret", wealthy resort owner Wyatt Richardson is a self-made man who works hard and enjoys the rewards of his labor. He treats people well, and he has a good working relationship with his employees. Wyatt's determination pushed him out of a traumatic, impoverished childhood into glory as an Olympic ski champion, and later into financial megabucks as the owner and operator of an internationally-renowned ski resort. He was used to being decisive and having his wishes respected. The one thing that he didn't handle well was emotional issues, and his teenaged daughter's pregnancy was a very big issue. Once she gave birth, Wyatt had to find someone he could trust to help care for the baby and give his daughter, Chloe, the guidance she needed as a new mother. When young and attractive Leigh Foster applies for the job, she may not be experienced in child care, but she is smart, personable, and very appealing. Leigh explains her personal situation, and gives several reasons why she'd like the job, but she doesn't tell the whole truth. Leigh has a secret, a very big secret, one that ties her tightly to Wyatt and his daughter. Once revealed, that secret would make a lasting change in all their lives. Can Leigh live in Wyatt's home, care for his grandson, help his daughter, and gain the information she seeks without giving herself away? The strong attraction between Wyatt and Leigh leads to an unexpected friendship which soon becomes a passionate involvement. When the time comes, can Leigh walk away without leaving her heart behind? "The Nanny's Secret" features imperfect, all-too-human characters in a compelling story line from author Elizabeth Lane.

If you are looking for a romance that has a cast of memorable characters, a heartwarmingly sweet story, and a whole lot of sizzling action, then Elizabeth Lane's latest book, "The Nanny's Secret," is the book for you!

Elizabeth Lane is a great storyteller, and that is quite evident here in this captivating story. She takes a situation that is all too familiar these days, teenagers having children, and she builds a tale around this premise that brings together a dysfunctional family with the help of a loving woman. Readers will be pulled into this novel that is filled with heart-wrenching emotions, uplifting triumphs and a wonderfully fulfilling ending that will satisfy the most ardent romantic.

I highly recommend this novel as just the treat for a cold winter's day!

The Nanny's Secret by Elizateth Lane was a very good book. Wyatt just discovered his 15 year old daughter was pregnant. His ex-wife dropped her off at his place. Chloe had a baby boy. Wyatt hires a nanny. The nanny has a secret. Leigh happens to be the aunt to the baby boy. Her brother is the father. He doesn't know there is a child. Chloe told him she was going to get rid of the baby. Leigh falls in love with the baby and with Wyatt. A lot goes on during her stay at Wyatt's house. You have to read this book. Very good.

My favorite theme which is the baby theme. Only this time the daddy isn't the hero and the mommy isn't the heroine.
