The Detectives #2

Ties That Bind

Rate this book
After a wild night of kinky passion with her boss, Maura Briggs expected their affair to continue. Instead, Mike Drake has again become a typical 1961 boss—distant and professional. Should she stay to get the required hours for her own PI license or search again for a firm that doesn’t think women should be home with the children? How will she be able to reconcile her desire to champion the rights of women with her need to kneel at Mike’s feet?
Mike’s decided Maura will get hurt if she continues her hair-brained notion to be a detective. If he’s going to have a submissive in his life, he wants a more compliant woman. For now, though, he needs Maura to act the part. His latest case involves a woman who disappeared after a night of Kinbaku bondage with her boss and lover. Maura will have to recreate Natalie’s role so they can find her in time to rescue her.

Unbeknownst to Mike, Maura’s last experience with bondage was disastrous. Her ex had left her alone and bound for hours to “teach her a lesson.” No one has touched her with rope since then. She knows she has to overcome her fears so she and Mike can find Natalie before something disastrous happens to her.

Will they succeed or will missteps in their relationship keep them tied in knots?

Set in the world of 1960s New York City, Ties That Bind explores the world of emerging feminism with the lens of S and M.

I write BDSM-oriented erotic romance, with an emphasis on romance of the HEA (happily ever after) or HEN (happily ever now) variety.

I'm blessed with good friends and a deep love with my husband. I also know that a good relationship always involves growth and I try to reflect this in my stories.

Liked this one better than the first actually. It could be because I got my happily ever after... I'm a romantic like that.
