Cash I’m the laid back member of the club, the easy going, fun brother of the Black Hearts MC. And for the most part that was true, until secrets started to unravel and history that was supposed to be dead and buried began to resurface. Among all of that, there was her; a forbidden distraction that wouldn’t go away. One touch, one taste of her could cause a war that would destroy the fragile truce between two clubs. But what is it they say? Forbidden fruit tastes all the more sweeter, and I’m not sure I can deny myself a taste.
Maggie I ran from a life in a world that killed my parents, leaving my brothers to raise me. They suffocated me with their overbearing protectiveness and I wanted freedom. The problem was that I ran in the wrong direction. I ran to a man, a violent, abusive one, that destroyed who I was. I was no longer the sassy biker brat but a shadow of the person I once was. So imagine my surprise when I wake up back at an MC; not mine, but a rival club. Ironic that I ended up back here living and enjoying the life that I was so desperate to run from before. What’s even more ironic is that out of all the men in the world, I start to fall for the one guy that’s forbidden to me: an outlaw biker of a rival club. Can forbidden love survive, secrets, club rivalry and a deadly enemy?
Cash Is Book 2 in the Black Hearts MC series. *Recommended for ages 18 and over, trigger warnings advised.
I'm a self published author. I fell in love with reading as an adult, when I found the romance genre. I immediately got sucked into the stories and fell in love. The romcom, the dark, the Suspense, all of them!
I struggled a lot with reading and writing when I was younger. Being dyslexic made it extremely hard for me, but I loved writing stories even then.
I wrote Rise Above in secret too scared and embarrassed that it wasn't good enough, that people would laugh at it, at me. My husband pushed me to take the leap. So I did. Not having an editor to start with and a friend making my cover it scary jumping into a world your unsure of what to do. Learning as I go. Its the best decision I ever made. The response was amazing. I am currently working on the rest of the series. And plan on writing until I run out of words. I love it and one thing I've learnt is you only live once and you should to do what you love and what makes you happy. I hope that people enjoy my stories as much as I enjoy writing them.
Alright, listen up - if you're thinking of picking up Cash and you haven't read book one. Babe. Don't do it. This book is not new-reader-friendly. It drops you into the middle of leftover drama like you just walked into a reality show reunion with no context. People are yelling, relationships are imploding, and you’re just standing there with your drink like, “Wait… who are you and why do you hate that guy?”
Also, fair warning: Cash is out here spoiling the entire Satan’s Outlaws series like it’s airing everyone’s dirty laundry. So if you were planning to start the series fresh - yeah, maybe pump the brakes on this one unless you want every major plot twist ruined in one go.
Now let’s talk about the real villain of this book: the grammar. Whew. I’m not saying I need perfect prose, but reading Cash felt like decoding a ransom note written by someone mid-sneeze. I found myself rereading sentences just trying to figure out if I missed a word or if the sentence was just having a moment. And not the good kind. The grammar was so messy I started wondering if my Kindle had a glitch or if I was being personally punk’d. Spoiler alert: I was not. It’s just that rough.
Plot-wise? It’s fine. Characters? Also... fine. It wasn’t giving zero, but it wasn’t giving life either, you know? There were a few solid developments, but nothing that had me gasping or clutching my heart. And any time I started to get a little invested, boom - another typo hurricane pulled me right out of it. Hard to fall in love with a story when you’re mentally editing every other paragraph.
And ohhh, Star. Sis. In the first book, I didn’t totally hate her. But in Cash, She’s out here acting like she’s the main character in every scene. Loud, nosy, and so far up in everyone's business I’m surprised she hasn’t started charging rent. Like ma’am, can we get a moment of peace. Just one. Her energy was less “fiery heroine” and more “that one cousin who always starts drama at the family BBQ.”
All in all, I wanted to like this one. Really. But between the grammar mess and the characters not quite hitting, it was hard to stay engaged. If you’re already invested in the series and love the chaos, go for it - just know what you’re walking into. It’s kind of like watching a train wreck in slow motion. You can’t look away… but you’re definitely questioning your life choices a little.
Here’s hoping the next one gets a serious glow-up, because I’m just curious enough to keep going. Pray for me.
As ever Ms Campbell brings her own unique style and her MC stories are gritty, raw and full of banter!
Cash is the happy go lucky member of the Black Hearts MC. He doesn’t have any major issues, his Mum is the unofficial matriarch of the club…she keeps all the boys in line! Cash just loves being a part of the brotherhood…that’s not to say he can’t and won’t step up when needed…he has no problem with any of the club duties!
Maggie is a bit of a brat…she doesn’t want anything to do with any MC or the double standards it brings. With a long line of family history within the biker world we get to see some familiar faces that we know and love!
This story isn’t without its darkness but the usual quirks are there from LG and we still have plenty of badA women and sassy dialogue! Once again I enjoyed my time with these unapologetic bad boys and their feisty women, these stories are a lot of fun and a great escape!
Another wonderful read. I loved how 2 MC world collide within Cash and Maggie’s romance.
Maggie is the sister of Blake and Wes from Rocke Series and Satans Outlaw series. She’s a total biker brat and is determined to not end up with a biker. Enter Cash! These two didn’t not get on after Maggie was dumped outside the clubhouse. But Black Hearts protect her and Maggie end ups staying at Cash’s mum’s house.
The forbidden aspect comes into play and oh boy do they rebel and act on their attraction.
Such an amazing read that had me hooked. Loved getting more of the Boack Hearts and to get more Satans and the Rocke Sisters was a treat x
I really have enjoyed the series so far. It is kinda dark, a little spicy, full of bad ass women, and guys you can't help but want to love.
But... it is full of grammatical errors. Punctuation is spotty, words are wrong in some places, and occasionally, you have to try to read between the lines to figure out what is being said.
If you can get past that you will like the series. So far, my favorite guy is Rage, and I can't wait to read his book.
We still really need an editor’s cleanup in aisle 12 but at least this book’s romantic pairing didn’t include such an emotionally stunted and abusive MMC.
Could use an editor but a decent read. The author is British and writes in British English which is fine except her characters are supposed to be in America. Just base your books in England so it's more authentic and not a distraction from the story.
My brothers, no, my family have got my back. You would never have us down as being soft, sentimental bastards, but our bond is strong. Our bond is fucking unbreakable. . . I have to be honest this wasn't as good as the First one but I still enjoyed reading it. Cash was really sweet most of the time but at the same time half way through it was like his personality got swapped out for someone else. Maggie was an okay character I found her stubbornness to get annoying a few times and she seemed to always be jumping to conclusions even if that was someone just trying to help her, I think I was always going off Star's personality and character and it just never hit the same bar. The plot was okay but I found the book rather short and sometimes the situations was solved way to quickly and I honestly don't know where this could go from here. I loved how easy this book was to read and it really flowed well! I can't wait to read Rage's book next I have no clue where this could go but I'm excited to see.
Cash by L.G. Campbell is an exhilarating journey through the intertwining lives of characters driven by ambition, love, and the pursuit of truth. Campbell's masterful storytelling captivates from the very first page, drawing readers into a world where every twist and turn keeps you eagerly flipping through the pages.
The protagonist, Cash, is a compelling figure whose resilience and determination inspire readers to believe in the power of redemption and second chances. As he navigates the complexities of life, readers are taken on a rollercoaster of emotions, from heartache to triumph, from despair to hope. And give me vibe about https://gcashworld.com/ who also help me alot.
After discovering the Black Hearts MC books, I have become completely besotted by them and I’m flying through them as though the world may end tomorrow!
The story between Cash and Maggie hits all the right spots!
Cash is your typical biker, a hit with the ladies - especially with his flirtatious banter like all of them. Well - apart from Rage but keep reading the series and you’ll love him, too! Maggie wants nothing to do with any MC’s, having disowned herself from the one she very much grew up beside. But seriously, who could resist the charms of Cash, even if it is forbidden?
A beautifully fast paced, action packed romance, with spice that will get you hot in all the right places!
I really enjoyed the funny, back characters that will obviously have their own story in later books. If you can overlook the editorial mess, and it is really messy. Worse than the first book. Incorrect grammar, punctuation, misspelt words, missing words - if you can overlook that then the story is ok.
It would have got a 4 star if there had been some editing (or a better editor!).
Looking forward to the next story. It’s our quirky nurse. Seriously she’s the best thing in this book and the previous and she only had small parts!!!
I read it. I liked it. Yes, the guy cheated. The girl reacted as best she could, maintaining her dignity. What was great was the step-by-step depiction of how a person recovers from trauma, how they change. Ultimately, for the better. I liked the transformation of the male character, how he fought to win his woman back. How he changed for her, how he processed his traumas, his approach to life. Truly, this is one of the few books where you could see that the male character truly loved.
Maggie's story is one of abuse at the hands, of Cash enemy. Ms. Campbell writes dark romance in a way that I can read them. Black Hearts Mc maybe crazy badass men but the author gives them heart with the right female. Cash and Maggie have alot against them but you need to read to see if they get their HEA
a MC romance with a dark Romeo and Juliet twist? This second book slapped a lot harder than the first, but also really pulled me in to look forward to the third book with the background details on Dixie & Rage, will be moving on to that one next!
Please please please make sure you check TWs before reading!
I am new to this author, and she did not disappoint with the second book in the series. Once I started this story, I could not put it down. What happens when the past comes to the present? Is everybody able to move forward? Definitely recommend this book, series and author.
I love motorcycle club romance! So glad I found this one. I think every motorcycle club should have a Queenie on the compound. I’m glad Maggie has Star as a friend. I’m excited for Rage’s story next.
Cash has swag I enjoyed the first book, this one took a lot of double sentence reading, I thought I was going mad by not reading it properly because it didn’t make sense. The characters are great the storyline was there I was just let down with the grammar. Little legs and Cash make a great couple loved the friendship with her and star and the mischief they get up ha ha are a laugh a minute.
Cash is the Book 2 in the Black Hearts MC series. Cash is standing outside of the MC clubhouse with his brothers when a van pulls up and a girl is tossed into the dirt outside the gate. Maggie ran away from her family into the arms of an abusive man and when she tried to run from him, he beat her and tossed her out like garbage and the BHMC was the local dump.
What I Liked - Cash is laid back and has a great relationship with his mom and his club family. - Maggie grows a lot from the childish person she was when she ran from her family to a strong woman who fights back - The found family aspect of the MC - There was a good mix of plot to spice putting it at 3/5 on my spice scale
What Fell Flat - Avoiding spoilers, something that leads to the final conflict felt out of place with the protective nature of the club
Overall, 3.5/5 stars since I enjoyed it enough to want to read more of the series, but I'm not sure I'll read this specific book in the series again.
2nd book in the Black Hearts Series and it just keeps getting better. Love that Satans Outlaws are involved in this book (it made my heart very happy!!) Cash and Maggie are so good together and they keep you on your toes!
Cash picks up where Ghosts epilogue finished, with a poor woman being thrown from a van. The only thing she wants before she passes out is for them to contact Rip. They don’t have a brother called Rip and the only one they know is the Pres of Outlaw saints , and they are not a friendly MC. When her brother and cousin arrive they explain she’s been missing for years and they want her home . Maggie refuses to go home with them so she stays with Queenie who happens to be Cash’s mum. Love blossoms between them but there’s still the issue of her abusive ex who dumped her out of that van and it’s someone the MC knows
*Thank you LG Campbell for the ARC in exchange for an honest review*
First off, I love this MC - this is book two, and I already love all of the characters. This is such a quick read, and I absolutely could not put it down! This book follows Cash and Maggie. Maggie is a biker brat from Cash’s rival MC, and she gets dumped on the Black Heart’s doorstep by her ex after being abused for years. The Black Hearts take her in as they try to figure out the best plan to protect her and everyone involved, and she ends up staying with Queenie, which is Cash’s mom. Hello, forced proximity. Their love is forbidden by the rival MC, and the truth and past that unfolds between the two of the MC’s is exciting. Cash is dealing with big life changes and findings during this book, and seeing him deal with it all made me love him more. Maggie comes off as this total wench in the beginning, rightfully so, but I thoroughly enjoyed her relationship with Star (the FMC from the first book). The only thing I really missed from this story was seeing more of Maggie and Cash’s relationship, like the little moments. It’s mentioned that these things happen, but I wish we got to experience more as a reader - for example, the little sweet moments cuddling, talking, and just the bathtub type moments.
Plot: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Spice: 🌶️🌶️
Quote: “You’re right. I am a biker brat, and that means I know how to stand up for myself, it means I know how to fight and get what I want. So that is exactly what I am going to do.”
This is a rival MC romance following Cash and Maggie. Maggie is a strong, fiesty FMC with a harsh past. Cash is a no-nonsense kind-of guy but somehow a cinnamon roll for his girl. They both are fighting hard pasts, but they find solace in each other.
This is the 2nd book in this series. I loved the first book Ghost, the ending of that one lead me to read the Satan’s Outlaw’s series before I started this book as I wanted to get the know the characters a little better. Having read the Satan’s series, it was a little annoying to see character names wrong. Not that you need to read them first. Personal choice on my behalf. The FMC Maggie left home and a Biker MC connection never looking back, until she is thrown, literally, into the path of another. The MMC, Cash, is not only trying to protect the girl thrown into their fight, he’s trying to keep the peace between his MC and her connection to an MC, deal with threats to his MC and discover secrets about his families dark past and the connections to what their fighting now. The book was good, I did enjoy it, I just didn’t enjoy it as much as the other books in this series and others I have read. I found the connection to the ‘trouble’ the Black Hearts were facing and the connection to Maggie to be convenient for a plot at best, the connection between the MC sudden and a little random. Felt like maybe there was a little too much going on at once and one or the other would have been better. Sticking to the Black Hearts story better, more than adding added drama to the connection between the two MC’s. But personal choice only.

Oh my god this book was absolutely awesome from start to finish and the story line was epic. The characters really brought the story to life and made it certainly entertaining throughout the book. L. G campbell has written yet another brilliant book and i found it hard to put down I would highly recommend this book to anyone.
When Rival MC Clubs go to war, you know that you are in for one hell of a ride, and if the Black Hearts are involved it is not only going to be thrilling, it is going to be mesmerising and Cash most definitely has that covered.
Maggie grows up as a biker brat within an MC, always surrounded by overprotective brothers, but nine years ago she went down a different path, leaving that world behind for what she believed would be a better life, however, that proved not to be the case, now after one beating too many Maggie for some reason is left at the doors of the Black Hearts, the young Maggie full of dreams is long gone and while secrets and lies are being revealed around them Cash and Maggie go from hating each other to finally realising that love and hate are two sides of the same coin, L G Campbell has delivered another fast-paced gut-wrenching story, only knows what is to come but if the epilogue is anything to go by it is going to be another mouthwatering instalment,
Maggie grew up with two extremely overprotective older brothers which led her to run away searching for her freedom. But instead ended up in an abusive relationship. Years later Maggie is left on the doorsteps of Black Hearts MC a rival club from her own covered in bruises. Both clubs are furious wanting to find out who did this to Maggie. But she refuses to say anything. To keep Maggie safe Cash's mom Queenie offers for Maggie to stay with her. I loved how Cash and Maggie starts with hating each other but their relationship develops with the time. Cash is more laid back but he has his own share of secrets. I liked Cash's character but it took me a while to like Maggie but she definitely came through and her behavior in the first few chapters were understandable. This was fast paced and was intriguing right from the start. MC romances have officially become one of my favourite tropes to read.
Happy clapping, happy clapping 👏🏻👏🏻 This book made my heart so happy!!! I devoured it and did not want to put it down. We catch up with old favourites and familiar faces and it was so nice to be back!!
Lauren has this ability that she can write dark but also bringing humour to the table, which I love 🖤🖤
Maggie and Cash certainly didn't have it easy, they had so many obstacles to overcome. Secrets, lies, rival gangs. Cash thinks that Maggie is just a biker brat and Maggie thinks that Cash is your stereotypical MC biker. Until they start to peel away their layers and realise that their is a lot more to each other than they first thought. What started out as a forbidden and secret romance turned into a beautiful relationship. I really enjoyed this book and can't wait for the next one after the ending of this one!!!! 🧡🧡
