A Bride Plus One
Rose lived on a farm outside of Norfolk with her father and grandmother. Things were tight, but her Father wouldn’t hear of her working. He was proud and he would take care of them!
Desperation makes for poor decisions, and Rose’s father was no exception. It was a poor decision that cost him his life.

Davis Brandt came from one of the original families in Brandt Falls, and now was proud to be Sheriff of the town. Life was good, but something was missing. Someone to share this good life with. Women were scarce, so when Davis heard of a local man having good luck with the Mail-Order Bride service, he decided that was the way to go.
When Rose and her grandmother arrived at the train station, it didn’t take long for Davis to realize that he had gotten more …. much more…. than he bargained for.

A welcomed HEA
This sweet romance stars with an horrible tragedy, continues with a very difficult mother-in-law but Ruth delivers an HEA to bring the reader to a satisfying end.
I can recommend this for teens and adults but be aware that there is non descriptive violence. There is also love and patience on the groom's part that helps bring about a happy life. I enjoyed it and will read more from Lillian Ruth.
