Koga-kun has declared war on Shikura-kun, and tensions are simmering under the surface! Koga-kun is making advances on Madoka, and to prevent them from being alone together, Shikura-kun is doing his best to keep him in check. But then Koga-kun manages to steal Madoka away by car? What will be the outcome of this love triangle?
Adorable😭😭 I love this manga so much. The relationship development is just so top tier. I love how shikura is opening up more towards madoka and is constantly reassuring her of his feelings 😭😭❤️❤️. Im also glad that minato gave up on pursuing madoka after seeing shikura fighting hard for her. Very noble of him. Makes me feel bad for him😭. Shikura is so hirotaka and yamada coded it’s insane. They all just want their girls to be happy always and to always have a smile on their faces😭😭😭. The slight spice in this volume was so unexpected but I am not complaining. Also not Shikura looking up how to leave a hickey after his failed attempt 😭
One star less cause I hate how the second male lead gets away with literally kidnapping the fmc. Also what's with the "I have to get rejected directly to move on" trope? It's so damn stupid.
Kawahara is studying hard with the help of Koga, under the watchful jealousy of Shikura. When Koga makes a play, the unthinkable happens, unless you were expecting Kawahara to stop seeing Shikura and make a change in who she’s seeing. Then a home visit runs real risky of getting real frisky.
This series continues to deliver high quality standard fare in a standard fashion. Which is no knock on it - a couple years of playing catch-up on manga has shown me that doing shojo is easy, but doing it good is quite the challenge.
One of the things that this particular series has always taken very seriously, in a way I appreciate, is the idea of consent. There are some series that are specifically catering to your non-con desires, but it’s not typically my taste.
So I was a little shocked when the rival scenario goes as far as having Koga bodily haul Kawahara into a car and drag her away on a date. And she appears to briefly accept it, but emphasis briefly.
I’m glad this whole rival thing gets wrapped up nearly as quickly as it started just because this has always been Kawahara and Shikura’s story and they’re fun as all get out.
So we are soon back to them just being head over heels for one another and then the kissing starts flying and then Kawahara finally gets to visit while Shikura’s parents are away and that means only one thing.
Well, maybe a couple things. And it backs away from the most obvious one, but I love how both parties are pretty dang thirsty and Kawahara might actually be far more aggressive than Shikura, which, yes, you go, girl.
Honestly, for sheer heat the home visit is pretty tough to beat this volume, but the last chapter might be the most entertaining, as Kawahara’s girlfriends become suspicious of Shikura, since he appears more hot than cute.
Cue the silliest sequence of events as the friends go hard on the interrogating and Shikura is honest, but without context, so he freely admits to kissing Kawahara without her consent way back when and other transgressions that rile everything up until the situation gets explained.
It’s very silly stuff, but I love the way these two are around one another and they have a lot of fun chemistry. There’s a ton of excellent chibi art as well, which really adds to things. It has a great balance and two strong leads, plus it respects them both.
4 stars - no, it’s not shojo perfection like the prior volumes, but it’s still shojo really great. Amongst its peers it does a lot more than many other books and continues to be a reliably strong series.
RECAP: studying with Koga and Momoki. Koga gets bold, Momoki kisses her outside the library. Koga then takes her in his car and Momoki chases after to claim her. She passes her exams and goes to Momoki’s house. She leaves him a hickey and then they’re about to do more before they stop over spilled hot chocolate. He practices how to give a hickey and gives her one. Her friends come to her work to check on Momoki and interrogate him. Ends with him finding out cute guys are her type.
You’re my cutie is adorable it’s a sweet love story between Madoka and Shikura-kun. Madoka is obsessed with younger guys falling for older girl manga. So when her dad’s new employee happens to be a younger attractive guy she can’t help the attraction. However, Shikura-kun isn’t like the guy she expects and instead it’s her bringing him out of his shell.
I read the first 5 in one night. I just saw that 6 & 7 are out so I had to devour them as well. This one is lovely the relationship is sweet and both characters complement each other. I hope we get more from the series. The artwork is as lovely as the story. The author did a beautiful job creating a captivating story.
I really like that while Koga became an official love rival, he didn’t interfere in an extremely messy way and backed off once he got officially rejected. I hope he sticks around in the series as a whole, because I really like his friendships with both Madoka and Momoki. Speaking of the couple, they’re still very cute and dedicated to each other. It was nice to see Momoki be so much more vocal about his feelings for Madoka after leaning of Koga’s feelings. It was also very amusing seeing Madoka’s reaction each time Momoki was being so vocal. Also, seeing Madoka’s friends be so protective over her was adorable and I hope to see more of that friend group as a whole.

Still really cute. They are so into each other I love that and they both want kisses/hugs it feels kind of rare in shojou that the female character expresses real interest in spending intimate time with each other. I like that it is not a lot of blushes and nooooosssss. This couple is still a little shy at times with each other but they are young so it is expected and cute. I like that her friends stepped up but it was still a little odd cause how is he not her type. He is cute and younger that is her type!
Koga had a chance to shoot his shot and to me, that’s okay! Rejection can be a good motivator to move on!!! Which it seems he is doing by the end of this volume.
Now onto to the main couple!!! Things are heating up!!! It’s refreshing that Madoka is wanting to “pounce” on her man!! It’s a-okay to want to be close to the person you love!!!!
They are a seriously adorable couple. Read when you’re in the mood for WAFFy romance and a couple that communicates and is straightforward. No pesky misunderstandings for these two! Madoka spends so much time (justifiably) sqeeing over how cute her boyfriend is - who cares if he’s a hot guy, he’s also a puppy 🤭

This manga series is my cutie. I read all seven volumes within twenty-four hours and enjoyed all of them. Madoka and Momoki are so cute and communicative. I can't wait for the next volumes.
So cute and aggravating at the same time. Makes sense given ages and backgrounds for why stuff is happening, but it’s maddening and cute in equal measure.
What you need to know: it's so stinking cute you won't regret reading it one after the other. This manga is going to leave you in a reading slump looking for something as feel good to consume.
Now that I'm caught up, I can say that I love how open the communication is between Madoka and Momoki. They're both so cute and like each other so much 🥰🥰🥰
Reread edit: this series is great if you don't want characters with lives outside of them liking each other. It's getting knocked down a star for the lack of development outside of their relationship.
