I think "Sugar Wallsl", was written to let her audience know that no matter how hard life may get and no matter how many trials and tribulations one is forced to face, there is always light at the end of the tunnel. It had drama and things I can relate to.It leaves a lasting impression in the mind of its readers. The many different forms of love shown in the book will forever hold lasting value in the world of literature.

This book was excellent! It really tells how family can turn on you because of jealousy. Also, it shows how money can overcome anyone, making them do things that they don't want to do. Overall great book !This book contained too many street fiction plots. It went from drug abuse to stripping to girl loving drug dealer to an unrealistic kidnapping because of a dumped boyfriend & girlfriend. It's really a story to read if you can't find a good book.Williams has a way of getting her point across in a creative and relatable way.In this book it kind of reveals another side of people that others don't see. "The burning sensation I felt all over my body while bashing my mother against her head, being tired of the disrespect"(Williams 45), are feelings some people may not ever feel towards their parents. I feel like this book kind of opens your eyes to how everyone has a struggle and a story to tell and not to judge them until you know that story. This book probably won't have lasting value to me because I will probably read a book with a bigger and harder story line.

This book is very unwell written, the typos and the random bold print make this book hard to read having to read the sentence or phrase over to understand the point she has to make. Very disappointing." Their were only two Of us as we began to creep behind tHe door" (Williams 76). By sentences like that it gets frustrating because of those type of typos. Besides those the book is very well construsted and gives great depth of visual imagery.

SUGAR WALLS is the story of a young girl’s quest for independence from her addictive parents and a terrible home. Sugar’s character is very immature and I did not see much growth. I would have liked to see her make sound decisions and develop a more solid future for herself. Nonetheless, filled with drama and havoc, there was never a dull moment. In this book I could relate to Sugar the most. Only because she was always seeking for something new and fresh. She just wanted things that would satisfy her and make her happy. I'm the same way, I constantly want something satisfying. This book was extremly captivating by its "vivacious girl with an attitude like no other"(William 66), type of girl as the main character it makes the book more interesting. The book had some serious and sad moments like when Sugar had been "in an alley, cold, face covered with a bag, dizzy, and trapped. Not aware of my surrondings and confused onto what the hell is going on"(Williams 20).

The greatst stregnth of this book I would have to say is its great detail in imagery. While poems and songs can paint a vivid picture since they are longer mediums, imagery can be found in just a single sentence as well. The imagery gains momentum with each line. It starts out slow, yet always building momentum through its vivid description of the mystery girl in the “long fur coat of mink.”If you take that definition one step further and apply it to the five human sense, then the definition simply becomes, descriptive language that has the ability of appealing to the five human senses. That does not necessarily mean that imagery applies to all five human senses collectively. It merely means that imagery is the use of descriptive language that can be appealing to one or more of the five human senses.
Which is exactly what this book gives you. During certain scenes it gives you such great explination and detail it helps you use all 5 senses.

This book certainly something that I would recommend to a friend.
I honestly couldn’t put the book down. The characters in the book are interesting and entertaining. The problem in the story is exciting and unpredictable. The author uses descriptive language that is fun to read.
The book is part of a series, and you want o get your friends
interested in the series. The illustrations are unique or memorable.•
The story is very funny and makes you laugh while you are reading.
The story teaches you a lesson that you think other students
should learn, too.The story reminded you of something
we are learning about in class.

Wow. The person who edited this needs to be found and slapped with the closest dictionary someone can find. Oh my goodness, really? I mean, really? Two instead of too, loose instead of lose... hell, I almost gave up on the book. But, I soldiered through it and the plot was very silly and predictable. I gave it two stars for entertainment, but really, this book has some issues.

A for effort I guess

Despite the typos this was an okay read I cannot find a character I like smh Marissa was cool but her parts in the book were small. It's like Sugar needed a man and I couldn't see her independence throughout the book at all she's twisted for sleeping with her sister man and so is he.... Mya is twisted her damn self this whole book had a lot of nutty ass people in it and it was predictable..... I like the author but I wish her books could be more memorable instead of stuff I've already read... Even though the characters made me mad I was determined to finish it just to see if ol girl would changed but nope I wish I could've been the co author because I would've had :
Sugar confront both her parents
Enroll in college
Mention that she had ideas of becoming a club owner
Really tired to fix her and Mya's relationship
And I would've made the character not to be so needy of a man or just someone's attention in general.

I listened to the audible version of this book, and it wasn't great. First off, the narrator kept pausing, there were no differentiations between the characters and I didn't connect to any of the characters. Sugar was just all over the place and ended up in one bad situation after another. She claimed she wanted to be single and focus on herself, but ended up in the arms of another man or woman every other chapter. Lastly, Sugar, why would you sleep with your sisters man?

What even is the premise?
I know this book was written over a decade ago. So hoping the author got better. I think this is an author that I check out here and there and have the same response. No cohesion, the same thing over and over again. Sugar and the rest of the crew are one dimensional.
Then incest was thrown in randomly.
Sugar maintains the same outlook although she was abused and mistreated by mostly everyone. No character arc.
1-1.5 stars. The 2 is being generous.

This was my first read from this author and was a pretty good read. This girl was all over the place and experienced a lot of hurt and betrayal, while creating some problems from her own reckless behavior. It kept my attention.

Very disappointing. The very boring narration took away from the story. No distinction between emotions. Difficult to get through.

About 75% smut but the main character is basically a child…gross. I skipped the smut and read for the plot which was a mess lol. Funny book though and it was a breeze to fly through.

WEEKLY PROGRESS: LAST WEEK I READ THE REST OF MY BOOK IN LITTLE TIME. I GOT FINISHED SO SOON BECAUSE THE BOOK WAS SO INTERESTING.

TIME: IT TOOK ME A COUPLE HOURS THIS WEEK TO FINISH MY BOOK. I READ FOR OVER AN HOUR EACH DAY.

GOAL SETTING: BY NEXT WEEK I PLAN TP HAVE A NEW BOOK AND BE ON AT LEAST THE THIRD PARAGRAPH BY THEN.

META-COGNITIVE ENTRY: I LOVED READING MY BOOK THIS TIME AROUND, IT WAS A WONDERFUL BOOK TO READ AND IT HAD GREAT MESSAGES IN IT. I WAS ABLE TO IDENTIFY WITH SOME OF THE CHARACTERS AND ALSO SOME OF THE CHARACTERS WERE SIMILAR TO PEOPLE I KNOW WHICH ALLOWED ME TO FINALLY REALIZE WHAT SOME OF MY FRIENDS ARE GOING THROUGH. ALTHOUGH I READ THROUGH THE BOOK MODERATELY QUICK, IT WAS EASY TO GRASP BECAUSE THE LANGUAGE IS NOT THAT HARD TO COMPREHEND. I HOPE THE NEXT BOOK I PICK TO READ IS A BIT HARDER TO GET THROUGH. I WANT TO SPEND MORE TIME ON MY BOOK AND NOT JUST A WEEK, I HOPE THAT THE NEXT BOOK WILL ALSO GO THROUGH ITME SLOWLY BECAUSE A LOT OF EVENTS IN THIS STORY FLEW BY AND WAS HARD FOR THE READER TO REALLY FEEL LIKE THE STORY WAS REALISTIC. TE CHARACTERS WERE ALSO UNPREDICTABLE AND USUALLY YOU WANT TO FEEL LIKE YOU KNOW A CHARACTER AND IN THIS STORY I FEEL LIKE I NEVER GOT TO KNOW ONE CHARACTER WELL ENOUGH BECAUSE THEY WERE ALWAYS CHANGING PERSONALITIES.

I think bout was good.It had drama n things i can relate to. This book was about a girl name Sugar and she use to get abused by her mother, for thing her sister did. Sugar n her sister argued a lot cause Sugar would tell her to just do what their mother said so she won't have to get beaten. One day Sugar met this lady who gave her a business card n told here to call her if she ever wanted to model.Shortly after that Sugar came home from work and her mother was waiting on her and asked her did she know her sister got pregant. Well to make a long story short she was fed up with the abuse and she hit her mother and left.Sugar then called Dyan, the lady she met at her job that gave her the business card.Dyan intoduced her to a life that she soon realize was not a good one. Sugar got beaten badly a few times after moving from home. She also stepped on a few toe to get to higher places in her life. And in the end she finds out who and what was for her.

Good read! The girl was actually named Sugar! Mom's a crackhead, father is an alcoholic. After getting beatings after beatings from her mother for not watching out for her fast younger sister. She leaves home to start a life of her own, you will be upset at some of the choices that Sugar makes! You will be shocked at what is revealed!

This book started off great. I actually almost finished this book in 3 days, but then I got really busy. Towards the end of the book, I realized it was all one continuous cycle and the last 3 chapters and I guess what you could call the "plot" was kind of dumb, but everything leading up to it was pretty good.

It's really a story to read if you can't find a good book. I won't even discuss the typos or the random bold print. Very disappointing.

This book, even though explicit in some cases, was very good. I got a very good insight on this book; the characters were amazing! There were many twists and turns that I couldn't put the book down! Once I bought it, I read it so many times; I read it too many times to count! I LOVE this book!

Although there was some nitty-gritty, vulgar language, and intense sexual scenes, I actually enjoyed reading the twists in this book. Be careful, she will get your sexual senses flowing.
