A GLOBAL PERSPECTIVE, Ninth Edition, introduces readers to the concepts and theories of sociology, demonstrates how those concepts and theories can be used to think about the most significant and pressing global issues of our day, and uses powerful visual images to illustrate their impact on individuals, local communities, and society.
I guess it was ok as a school textbook, but right now I felt like the book had a lot of common sense ideas. The focus countries for each chapter are nice, but sometimes it lacked the global perspective that sociology textbook needs. Overall, it is a nice introduction book to sociology, but if you want some new information, it probably would not attract your attention.
