It was good in that I got to see a totally opposite world view than I have. Entertaining in that light.

I guess it was ok as a school textbook, but right now I felt like the book had a lot of common sense ideas. The focus countries for each chapter are nice, but sometimes it lacked the global perspective that sociology textbook needs. Overall, it is a nice introduction book to sociology, but if you want some new information, it probably would not attract your attention.
