Darlene Graham, who won the Oklahoma Writers' Federation prestigious Teepee Award for Best Fiction Book of 1999, says that having witnessed birth, death and "everything in between" helps her put realistic emotions into her novels. Graham practiced as a registered nurse in Labor and Delivery and then Oncology for 20 years before she decided to translate all that real-life drama into romantic suspense fiction.

"Even though I write uplifting, even humorous romance," the mother of three says, "I'm also not afraid to deal with real issues, with real pain. I've been known to sit at my computer and shed a few tears while I write."

Graham's first book, It Happened in Texas, was released as a Guaranteed Page Turner by Harlequin Superromance, and she says that since that book sold, her writing life has felt "like popcorn popping."

"Something new and exciting happens almost every day."

Graham says that she never runs out of material, and often gets her plot ideas by pure serendipity.

"I feel like I'm just getting started and I don't think I'll ever get tired of writing. Writing is my dream. How many people get to actually live their dreams every single day? For me, there's no turning back."

h is a popular TV show host, she is a widow for 5 yrs now and when she decides to become mum, she contacts the sperm bank where her husband's sperms were stored. When she is finally pregnant, there comes a stalker who thinks she is unfit to be a mother and hence her baby would be better off with him.

H on the other hand is a widower too, He is sterile except for the sperm storage in the sperm bank. When he learns that his sperms are used and defrozen, he can't loose his last chance at fatherhood so he tracks down the mother of his child.

As usual. .. many non-interesting and usual things happen and they fall in love, when h learns about the mixup she misunderstands the hero and blames him. When she is finally coming around with H, she goes into labour, stalker attacks, no midwife to help, snow storm growing outside blah blah. After some very predictable twists, they live HEA.

I just randomly picked this book up at a thrift store, and I read the back and thought it looked pretty good. And, it was! I'm more into the YA type of books so this was a little different for me, but I was surprised to find out that I really liked this.

I liked this book. The hero is so caring and kind. The Heroine is stubborn and focused. Good suspense with stalker. I enjoy the mix up at a fertility clinic.
